Geez, I’m stunned this was approved. Not a real review IMO; should’ve gone in the TJ forum.

Nice report, Justin! Though I wish the cost of arriba wouldn’t be so high like it is now. Guess the days of $100 arriba may be a thing of the past. But HK gets away with it because not just of the sheer overall beauty of the girls, but also because of its marketing department - it does a great job of attracting new clients.

Unfortunately, as long as the peso remains stronger than the dollar, we likely will continue to see increased costs. Also: there are other clubs besides HK. At the alley spots - La Caretta, Gold Palace, Odisea2001 - you can still get a decent girl for $100, and those girls have better attitudes overall than the HK girls who (for the most part) have become greedy.

No, this is a club in the Chicago area.

With all due respect, this is the Tijuana, Mexico forum. This should be posted elsewhere on the site.

I’ve been here a couple of times. Certainly not a traditional strip club like most of the other Zona Norte spots, but good times can be had at LG.

Was wondering the same thing. Any guys going to TJ over the next 7-10 days need to be extra cautious and aware. Seems that when a major cartel leader gets arrested, said cartel more often than not use shows of strength (burning cars, blocking roads, etc.) to let the locals know that they're still in charge.
That said, given the increased security in the Zona Norte, unlikely anything happens to mongers. Still, I'd be on the lookout and take extra precautions just in case.

Excellent review! Question, which area of TJ is this spot located? If it’s in the Zona Rio or Zona Centro, I might check it out on my next trip.

Good review.
I’m a Black man as well, and I have never had any issues during my TJ trips as far as profiling goes. Sure, I’ve been turned down a few times because I’m not exactly hot with the looks category, but the majority of the girls I’ve taken upstairs at HK for arriba told me that they sensed a good vibe when they saw me, whether from the stage they were dancing on or on the walkway in the middle of the club. A couple of times when I bought a ficha for the girl, the mesero tried to pull the $30 (now $33 by all accounts) wine scam on me, but the girl sensed what was happening and told him to bring a beer instead. And I’m gentle with them; I always try to be respectful because I feel that gives me a good reputation among the girls.

Blue Line trolley to the end of the line, which is the San Ysidro border crossing. It costs just $2.50 to ride; you’d likely be paying 10 times as much if you used Lyft or Uber. Then as Petey said, there’s a free limo shuttle to HK. After you’ve entered Mexico, about halfway down the walkway there’s a gravel parking lot to the right; that’s where the shuttle is on standby. If it’s not there, the attendant will guide you to the shuttle office, where you can wait for the limo to return. And Uber and Lyft are 24 hours to and from the border.
Regarding the amount of women, while Mondays and Tuesdays aren’t as large as the weekends, there are still more than enough for you to choose from. Since you’re there for just one night, I’d bring at least $300. Maybe $400 or $500 if you’d like, but that should be enough.
Not sure how your Spanish is, but learning a few basic words and phrases goes a long way, plus Google Translate is your best friend in the Zona - install the app if it’s not on your phone already.
And given the size of HK, keep moving around. Get a drink directly from the bar so you don’t have to deal with the meseros (waiters), many of whom can be annoying at times. Moving around provides you a better look at the scene and a better look at the ladies.
Have fun!

Excellent review. Despite all the gripes about the constant price creeps, HK is still the gold standard in the Zona Norte.

Wish I could meet you there my friend, but I’m not going until sometime later this year. But have fun, and I’ll look forward to seeing your report.

An unfortunate circumstance regarding the price creep, PT - but not all that surprising given both what HK did as well as the current exchange rate between the dollar and peso. For as long as the rate is 16-17 pesos per 1 dollar, prices are going to go up. I hear now that the going rate is $120, with many HK girls looking for $150.

What a great way to end what sounds like an outstanding trip. You're doing a great job of capturing the essence of Zona Norte. I have come to appreciate it and am glad I don't need to make a long overseas trip to spend fun times with beautiful ladies - the Zona is convenient to the US and is all I need.
I can't wait to get back later this year, and hopefully I can meet up with down the road RJax. Well done

RJax, that was an interesting experience and then some - talk about a rollercoaster ride! We've all overpaid in the Zona at one point or another, it's part of the experience. As long as you learn from it, that's what matters most.
Had I been in that situation, I'd have gone directly to my room and ordered room service; that way you'd have avoided Nayeli at Senda Norte. Makes me wonder if she and that particular mesero were working in tandem; I've heard of that happening. But every day in the Zona is a learning experience, good or bad. Doesn't matter if you're an experienced monger or a relative newcomer.
Overall, an outstanding review. I'm planning on staying at Rizo de Oro for my next visit and will certainly check out D&J again. The previous couple of times I went, nothing was happening so I walked right back out, but it seems they've improved since.

Yeah, I took will definitely make sure to stop by D&G on my next trip. I have looked inside a couple of times, but it was basically dead both times. I'm also going to go to La Caretta, Odisea (formerly) Playboy, Gold Palace, La Gloria, and La Malquerida as well, and not focus so much on HK, CC, and TB.

I have used the VIP rooms at GP before. The cost is $100 for one hour. You get a bucket of 10 small beers included.

As usual, an outstanding and detailed review RJax! Regarding the situation with Cami, I had the same thing happen with me a couple of years ago. I took up a girl from Tropical to my room at the Rizo for an hour. The knock came, and I paid the bar fine for another hour with her. But not long after, she fell asleep, and I couldn’t get her to wake up. She had been asleep for about an hour, so I called the desk for assistance. The girl had been hammered with beer, but she also was under the influence of a drug she’d taken earlier. I thought I was going to be in big trouble, but turns out I didn’t need to worry as one of the security guards told me she was known to take drugs beforehand if she saw a PL she liked, figuring she would spend the entire night with said PL, costing him a lot of money with the multiple bar fines accumulated. The manager actually not only returned the bar fine, but also comped me a bucket of beer for the next day, which was appreciated.
Important like you said to keep the girls sober as possible.

Wow. That’s crazy. Would like to hear what exactly happened. Hopefully, it’s nothing nefarious or evil like a hit on the owners.

Piggybacking on what Jascol said, if you’re still deciding between hotels Cascadas (next to Hong Kong) and Rizo de Oro (next to Tropical Bar), I would go with Rizo de Oro if you prefer a quieter atmosphere. It gets real noisy at Cascadas between the ongoing construction on the hotel and alley. I’ve stayed at both and can personally attest.
However, a big plus is that you can bring HK girls to Rizo de Oro, and TB girls to Cascadas. They’re all owned by the same group.
