SJG's style of "radical leftist philosophy" is very outdated. He would never fit in with today's liberal philosophy. If he was to sit in some of the classes I sit in today and honestly say what he thinks, he would be eaten alive. I don't know why he and the average TUSCL member is convinced he is such a radical leftist.
Example. He says he likes girls in short skirts, high heels, and makeup. Say this in one of my college classes and they will tell you that you are objectifying women with your male gaze, that you have a conservative power fantasy, that gender is a social construct and that women should not do anything for the pleasure of men. SJG also acknowledges that there are, in-fact, psychological and physiological differences between men and women. Big no no these days. His organization would be extremely controversial as well.
VH and RandomMember would also get eaten alive in the classes I'm in if they talked the way they do on TUSCL. Not a single member on this website is far left. I'm tentative about even calling them left-wing. VH and RandomMember are centre-left. SJG cannot really be placed on the spectrum.

Basically, there are multiple ways to use the term. However, in the groups I've been hanging around, it has mostly been used to mean what I referred to in this thread.
Incels are societal outcasts who have created their own group. But they are still outcasts because they are a highly stigmatized section of society.

Incels have used it for the purpose of creating a simple looks tier system. That's not the only purpose of the term "low tier normie" however. Similarly, incels use the term "normie" but lots of other people say normie as well. Normie, low tier normie, and high tier normie are terms generally used by people in youthful outcast culture and incels happen to be one segment of outcast culture.

Honestly haven't been reading any books. Its mostly real life lessons along with some blogposts.
People typically go along with the herd because of the whole safety in numbers thing but its not nearly as protecting as they think it is because you're with a large group, but that large group doesn't value your loyalty. The larger a group gets the more they begin to regard certain members as expendable. No harm in having them around because they are often passive and don't makes any moves but little benefit either. A low tier normie is the most expendable member thus the root of their insecurity. If a low tier normie stirs up any shit within the herd, they will cast him or her out very quickly.

Since I consider Dugan's winking to be a much more amusing topic though. I've simply always thought of it as being a silly thing. Or perhaps a message to show that he isn't really taking the conversation seriously. I've never seen it as an attempt to flirt lol.
Rick is right though, if you seek comfort within the herd then there will be no one there for you when the herd eventually casts you out.

You know there's a term for the behavior of a lot of people in this thread...
Its called a low tier normie.
The low tier normie is not a normal person, not really. However, they sure do try their damndest to look normal. The low tier normie is often the harshest condemner of outcasts and social rejects in their efforts to appear as a part of the herd due to the inherent insecurity they have of their position in it, feeling that the herd could cast them out at any moment.
Almost all outcasts have probably had a time in their lives when they were a low tier normie, but truthfully, low tier normies are the least respected people out there. They nauseate the outcasts because of the obviousness of their similarity to them despite their condemnations but they're not really normal enough to be one of the normies either.
Low tier normies are the people who've bought into the message given that if you "improve yourself" that you will find acceptance from society. "Improving yourself" being a code word for "shut up and follow the herd." However, if you do this, what will happen is that you'll follow the herd at the back of the pack, always trying to catch up.
There comes a time when you have to stop playing along and being a low tier normie and come join the outcasts.

I feel very sad when I meet a guy who has burnt his brain out on extreme porn. To not feel any sense of pleasure or arousal upon seeing a girl in a short skirt or in short shorts, they really are missing out. You need to realize that I have a dicking around mode and a serious mode. Obviously not everything I say is completely genuine because I'm in dicking around mode and busting your balls. Isn't that what you guys told me to do? To have more of a sense of humor and stop taking everything so seriously? If I'm talking in an intentionally over-dramatic I'm probably in dicking around mode. Sometimes I do exaggerate because I have a bit of a flair for the dramatic and like using deliberately provocative words because I find it really funny to say stuff like that. Several friends of mine do the exact same thing. Taking a long shit becomes "severe gastrointestinal damage" and a baby whining a little in the store becomes "the bloodcurdling screams of infants." A trip to the grocery store will demand the most epic, battle music imaginable and numerous other things like that. We find intentionally acting over-dramatic to be very funny.
I can say that I genuinely support people's ability to have debates about ideas without incurring people's hatred. You should not hate the other person because of their ideas or opinions. Even if someone has a potentially toxic idea, you'd be surprised at how much more productive it is to simply ask them why they think that and then work through it than to demonize the person. When you suppress a person or tell them what a horrible or stupid or weird person they are for thinking a certain way, that only serves to make them angrier and more stubbornly cling to what they believe.
That was my serious mode. You can engage with it if you want but if you go into dicking around mode yourself than I will as well.

I'm a millennial myself, or maybe even Gen Z. Idk. To be honest I don't remember if we've ever spoken. As far as porn goes though I can actually relate to that better than you'd think. My first masturbatory experiences were actually jerking off to R-rated films and HBO TV shows. I would also just look at images of girls in skimpy outfits to jerk off to when I was 13 and 14. Reading this I can't help but wonder if there wasn't a better way to handle this situation? As you mentioned, SJG randomly PMs a lot of different people. SJG randomly PMs me with things all the time. Given that this is a public forum I don't think someone is out of line or harassing simply for sending somebody a message. I've had random people on several forums before send me private messages without having previously talked on the forum and I've never thought of it as strange or rude. SJG may have simply not understood how you were perceiving his messages. If his messages really were such a bother though then I'd think it more practical to just put him on ignore.
Anyway that's just my two cents after reading all this. I think SJG genuinely means well, he's just a little bit awkward :)

Our whole constitution is founded on the idea that our ideas should not be suppressed. Ideas should fight one another but should not be suppressed by the government or by mob behavior. Doxxing people is mob tyranny, banning people from social media sites is mob tyranny, harassing people and sending them death threats for their opinions is mob tyranny.
Mob tyranny results from people desiring to harm one another for their opinions and ignoring their actions.

By looking at their actions, not their words. Words are just words. I judge a person by whether they go out and assault somebody or rob someone. Lots of people say stupid shit that they will disagree with someday or aren't all that serious about. I one time met a girl who told me masturbation was a sin and we should never do it. It doesn't matter how much sense it makes. The point is that the way a person talks and the opinions they hold should not be used as a form of character judgment. I oppose left-wing propaganda for the precise reason that many on the left try to claim that those who disagree with them are evil racist/sexist/homophobe whatever. We should be allowed to debate whatever opinions we want without having to worry that the other person is going to hate us for the opinions we hold. That's precisely the vision the founding fathers had for our country and if you oppose the propaganda which demonizes all opponents so much you should be in favor of that vision too.

You're not wrong. There's something about the way that he thinks that I understand. Its like we both speak the same native language and have been trying our whole lives to translate everyone else's language into our own (albeit poorly).
The way I am is that if someone is close to me, the opinions that strangers, acquaintances, or casual friends have of that person will never matter. Most people seem so concerned about their social status that if enough pressure is exerted on them, they will abandon their close friends. The average person thinks that if nobody else likes you then they shouldn't either. If they become friends with you, even close to you, and later come to the conclusion that nobody else likes you, they too will abandon you. Thus, why I don't trust the average person anymore. The average person has no true sense of loyalty. Their loyalties are spread out to numerous different people rather than the ones who truly matter. I only trust people who are willing to abandon their social status and become an outcast in defense of a friend. That is a rare quality and it is one that I know SJG has.

Rap and EDM music is basically the pop music of the 2010s. In this decade, I don't think there's any correlation between race and liking rap music.
