Not so sure I buy the argument that we are attracted to the hot waitress because she is unattainable... I have had amazing sex with waitresses I've met in clubs on an OTC basis. It's always chemistry...

Great review. Thank you for the honesty. And you were blessed by the karma gods for your patience.
I like this place too, although haven't been by since before COVID. It's the only place in the area that I know where you don't leave smelling like smoke, I hope that is still true.
My previous experiences here have been that one needs patience, and that a lot of the dancers stick to regulars even though it looks like they're not getting any business in the back.

I thought the stipulation was CLOSED if over 70% of income derives from alcohol. This would provide interesting creative ways around the book-keeping to alter the figures.

Gotta love these 'mental gymnastics' ! I suspect the nay-sayers with their pejorative commentary on the utility of detailed reviews are underestimating the potential effect of said raw data on their potential upside to those readers who spend on them and so eagerly await the fine detail.
I too spend hours and hours doing my research before venturing to the venue I intend to visit.
The laborious process starts as follows:
I take copious notes from review sites, enter the details most important to me into a loose-leaf three-ring binder which is preserved via the pen&paper equivalent (carbon paper) of a computer back-up RAID array onto 10 Tb SSD drives.
These are stored in safe deposit boxes in the vault of banks separated from each other by at least 10 miles - for safety of course.
The most relevant data are entered on an Excel spreadsheet housed on a main-frame computer, from which I am able to transfer critical data into a proprietary software program that then spits out an algorithm-based encrypted synopsis that will aid me during my coming chase.
This then transfers onto 3"X5" index cards conveniently ensconced in a pickpocket-proof secure pocket of the shirt I will wear on my visit to my dive of choice. Of course, I keep these index cards under the plastic pocket-guard that prevents leaks from the multiple ink-pens I always have with me in said shirt pocket.
Now - these 3"x5" index cards are priceless. They carry exactly the information that will guide me in the chase. And thank you to all the reviewers who have posted such detailed minutiae of spectacular visits (hits as well as misses) that provide the raw data !

Welcome to paradise in Michigan (I am referring to the range of options in a small geographic area, not only this club). Good review ! This place is my go-to when I am back up north. You captured it even though you didn't mention the wall of smoke on entry.
Satisfaction is a cool girl - have seen her a number of times. I know what you mean by 'we both left happy' - although one never knows what is real or what is Meg Ryan - with her I have had the sense that is more often the former. In fact a few times she has asked for it up front.
Can you clarify your final comment about the cameras "with not shots of the LD rooms" ?

Since this club and Bogart's are neighbors and are related (same management I think, and some of the entertainers go back and forth) - see my review of a similar (not exactly the same, but close enough) experience at Bogart's this past winter.
The dancer in question then was Mara. If you provide more description (personal message works) maybe we can figure out if it's the same girl.

Yup - what you experienced is the norm here - the ones of interest stick to their regulars.
(You simply lucked out - in the BT's girl coming over to you.)
Browse the reviews - that really is consistently what many of us find here - they just don't circulate.
Plus - lots of thick ones too.
A shame, because as you said it is a nice place and the fact the smoking ban is enforced is really good.

I had an experience at the same club which Electronman wrote about, and will be posting it soon.
Gratifying to read that the manager was receptive to NON-WHINING feedback, I think this is the key point.
Kudos to the manager - because this encourages readers (such as me) that we will not be blown off if our feedback is to the point and matter of fact. This manager seemed to understand - whether a review happens or not, but especially if it is - the Club's business will be enhanced if he takes appropriate feedback seriously.
Second point is that feedback must be about scam/thievery, not about "promises not kept", for reasons that should be obvious.

What is happening with this place ? Used to be one of my favorites in the area.
Always was several cuts above the Bogart's and Henry the-whatever clubs, and just enough below the Flight Club/(and the old) Penthouse level to avoid GPS syndrome. Going by both the infrequent reviews and the content of reviews, looks like not much going on here. A shame !

It is my sense too that over the last several months there has been a gradual improvement in talent level. Not consistently so every visit, but I think there has been a trend. I don't know who does the hiring here, and I've never understood what factors this depends on in general in this business, but I'll take it.
I'm not sure the changes at Penthouse Club were recent enough to explain this.

PS i am embarrassed to see that I had previously posted a review of this club here. Alcohol fog ? or whatever the cause - i had forgotten that i had made a brief stop here 4 or 5 months earlier - with the same impression as this visit.
So - apology for saying it was my first time here - it was not. But the fact is that my experience was consistent.

First - the good news - welcome to Detroit SC's ! Now - the bad news - you paid too much !
Now - back to the good news - what you wanted and got is available at so many of our finest establishments - at half of what you paid (or less).
