Anywhere in the USA on any given day
Last Thursday I went into a bank branch I typically don't go to and there behind the financial services desk was a former stripper I'd last seen about 8 years ago. She comes from a long line of P4P daddy bag drainers.... Mother, Aunt and Grandmother. She was pretty "clean" and worked in the higher end clubs a couple of days a week. She always said she was going to a university for a degree in finance and was able to speak about it in a level of a 200/300 class. For a mocha skinned lady (now 32yo) she almost turned white (well pale) when she saw me looking at her, with a kind of amazed look. After my transaction, she met me by her door and ask if she could talk with me... I said sure. Long and short of it.... she danced for 5 years and actually did go to school, I promised not to rat her out to her co-workers and had a nice conversation.

Shailynn " I imagine if I actually went there I’d be pretty creeped out. "
Imagine 500 SJG type guys walking around with their hand down the front of their shorts and a cheap disposable camera in the other.
"I think years ago it was a good route for strippers to come in, get “discovered”" many of the 80's feature (or trying to be feature) dancers went there to get discovered and make the silicone enhanced 80's club feature circuit. I'm sure other went there for a porn career as well.

RM probably not.. but the size of the economy is to large now for Jeffersonian ideals--- Hamilton won the battle of US money supply hundreds of years ago.

Your IBD article represents old theories that are not in line with current economic though:
"What Caused It
According to Ben Bernanke, the past chairman of the Federal Reserve, the central bank helped create the Depression. It used tight monetary policies when it should have done the opposite. Bernanke highlighted the Fed's five critical mistakes.
The Fed began raising the fed funds rate in the spring of 1928. It kept increasing it through a recession that started in August 1929.
When the stock market crashed, investors turned to the currency markets. At that time, the gold standard supported the value of the dollars held by the U.S. government. Speculators began trading in their dollars for gold September 1931. That created a run on the dollar.
The Fed raised interest rates again to preserve the dollar's value. That further restricted the availability of money for businesses. More bankruptcies followed.
The Fed did not increase the supply of money to combat deflation.
Investors withdrew all their deposits from banks. The failure of the banks created more panic. The Fed ignored the banks' plight. This situation destroyed any of consumers’ remaining confidence in financial institutions. Most people withdrew their cash and put it under their mattresses. That further decreased the money supply.
The Fed did not put enough money in circulation to get the economy going again. Instead, the Fed allowed the total supply of U.S. dollars to fall 30 percent.

above has been one of the current theories that has been gaining support for the past 20 years.. the IDB article does nothing to explain deflation when tariffs are to be inflationary. New theories see those tariffs as coincidental and of less of causation than once thought.
all that being mentioned -- like the old french economist once said, " the only reason to study economics is know when someone is bullshitting you."

In many years of going to clubs, I've only seen it twice and both times were are high end clubs. Some drunk in a quality suit that is having his big night out gets his dance tally and realizes his wife will ask questions when he takes many of hundreds of dollars out of the ATM at a strip club and bolts. Never seen it happen at a mid range or dive club --- but then again most of the crowd in those places are regulars.

Tahoe--- try the 24 hour barber shops in Taiwan if adventure is needed. The culture is much less similar to the US than Mexico. Real adventure would be Singapore on the out skirts of the city where the truly poor live or Bangladesh. I have not been to TJ in at least 25 years but it was the Mumbai of north america back then -- so maybe I'm biased.

Warrior. About 650 murders in Chitown last year. I don't know the populations but I'd guess Chicago is many multiples greater. AB. Most of it is cartel related. Tahoe, I don't get how going to a whore house is a great adventure. And for fear playing a role, hell yes. If you need to do all you suggest to stay safe, how can that be a vacation destination for ones birthday? Trying to justify paying for pussy as an adventure?

I don't understand why anyone would go to Tijuana. Over 150 murders this month alone and approaching 900 for the year.

I have a vendor a few blocks west of there.... sales, office, and warehouse personal all carry concealed or open -- it is a rough part of town. It used to be a decent working class neighborhood until the old eastern European DP's started to die off and the kids turned the houses into rentals.

They never tell you what you need to know.
Palin did say "you can actually see Russia, from land, here in Alaska." Here's the clip:
What she did not say -- but (Tina) Fey did -- is "I can see Russia from my house."

there is another positive about Christies verses the two other flats clubs... it does not have a crematorium sandwiched between them so your not wiping off the ash off your car when you leave.

25 -- I think most of the reviews of that type are written by a dancer and not a newbie PL.
no real specifics except "jane doe" is working here and she is worth the visit - just makes me think a dancer wrote the review.
