@OG nicespice LOL I consider Sunset an "upscale" dive. It breaks my aforementioned criteria in that stripper quality is above average and it's not that moldy. And on a busy night it transforms into a true strip club.

Portland has a ton of what I consider dive clubs. Here is how I define them:
- Low number of dancers. Less than 10.
- No cover charge.
- On average there are as many patrons and regulars that are NOT participating in strip clubbing as there are actually participating.
- Remove the stage and the strippers and it's nothing but a dive bar.
- It's not part of a chain or corporate type ownership.
- Stripper quality is all over the map and typically below average.
- Minimal hustle.
- It smells moldy.

@gSteph I went from 1 to 2 in my first club visit. This was back in the mid 90s. A couple of visits after that first, I went from 2 to 3. Then a couple of visits after that I went from 3 to 4 during some private dances from porn star Serenity. And then for the last 30 years I've stayed at 4. If I choose to advance to 5 I will get a divorce but I don't have any plans for that. Level 4 is my max level as far as I'm concerned.

Nice review @ArtCollege. It's consistent with my experience too - dancer quality is highly variable and sometimes not so good, $25 dance rates, and overall mileage is above average. I don't get out there much, but I try to support it whenever possible because of the good dance rates.

I'm good with almost all floor types as long as there is some grooming involved. Meaning wall-to-wall carpeting should still tuck nicely into a thong and also there shouldn't be any anus whiskers.

Good review!
This club has so much potential but gets it wrong on several counts. Lighting is just one issue but the main issue is value. $100/3 topless dances is a joke. Plus nobody wants to get a one-way minimal contact dance in the (near) dark dance area where a bouncer or manager watches it like a hawk. I used to be a regular here but it slowly changed to the mediocre club it is today. Portland has many better options.
