Seinfeld was really tame and would have no problem being recreated today, albeit with an update for technology and culture. It's standard-fare Chuck Lorre-tier stuff. Never seen Black Books. What about it could not be made today?

Things have always been based around the monthly payment relative to income so either the buyers of those $800k homes are enjoying a surge in wages beyond what we have even seen already, or those houses are going to be 400k in the future. Or more likely, cash buyers/corporations will buy up everything and usher in a new era of digital feudalism with 90% of Americans renting from the other 10%
