It's been a while since I've gone out to SC. Before today, I had only been to Blush once and left them a relatively negative review. Indeed, Blush at the time wasn't very interesting compared to the other Pittsburgh clubs. Will write this review as sort of a playback of the night:<br> <br> I happened to be in the downtown Pittsburgh area directly near Blush - my work situated me in an apartment complex right across the street. Blush is under new renovations on the outside so it looks like a work area but I decided to check it out. I arrived just after 12:30AM - they close at 2 - and was surprised that the club was packed. It is college night so free admission is granted with a college ID and that may draw crowds. Paid the $14 cover, which I assume was more than the normal $10 because of the feature dancer that was there (Alexis Monroe). I did not really go to see the feature as I have mentioned in other reviews that is not my main reason to go to strip clubs.<br> <br> I was easily able to get a seat at the bar even though the club is very small. Size-wise, it's a tiny club for Pittsburgh standards. Penthouse is a bit bigger, Cheerleaders is huge, Erotica is relatively big and Silky's - well they are a very small club but in a different arena and somewhat outside of the city (much worse - see my review from a while ago). <br> <br> <br> There are a lot of people for a Wednesday night and I have been to other clubs (a while ago now - 2-3 months) on weekdays. I think the downtown location + potential college night attracts the crowd. Nevertheless there was ample seating at the back of the bar and a few seats on the stage, plus various tables everywhere. Lots of girls which was a plus side as most clubs I've seen in Pittsburgh on weekdays don't hire many dancers. <br> <br> The girls don't really approach you if you're seated in the back of the bar which makes sense - it's somewhat a "chilling" area and most people who sit there don't seem to be spending anything and just watching/drinking. I sat here when I first got in because it was easy and I had no issues getting a drink. Drink prices are on par with everything else. As I sipped on drinks and just watched the stage the feature dancer came on and many people flocked towards the stage. A few girls walked by and one quickly asked if I wanted a dance, which at the time I did not. <br> <br> Even at this point, I was pretty impressed by the club. If you see my old review, I did not enjoy Blush at all the last time I had been there. I was not expecting much and just a somewhat similar experience. After the feature left, many guys left as expected but the club still had ample crowd to make it seem 'lively.' At around 1:30, I spotted a cute dancer that I had seen earlier on stage and approached her as she was sitting at the bar. We spoke for a few minutes - good vibe - and she asked if I wanted a dance. Dances here are $30 for 1 and $79 for 3. Most clubs are $20-25. Blush has a very private area for their dances though - the same type of rooms that they use for private rooms at a club like Cheerleaders. The rooms are booths but they are comfortable and have a curtain so it is like a small private room. Dances are full nude (though it could vary by dancer). The girl I went back with was Russian and she had great mileage. Exceeded my expectations -- no problem touching at all and got into the dance a lot. Variation was nice too during the dance since I opted for three dances. In the end it cost $79 (+ optional tip) which I felt was good for the quality and atmosphere. I left the club very shortly before they closed at 2AM and there were still a decent amount of people here.<br> <br> Overall, my visit to Blush was enjoyable. I still rank Penthouse as the best SC in PIttsburgh by far (different league - way higher end) but Blush impressed me. I can't say it's better than Cheerleaders since I haven't been there in a while but from this visit I'd go back. Certainly seems to be improving and they have feature dancers very often if that is your primary interest (it tends to attract crowds as well). Location was perfect for me in this situation - about a minute away walking - but the location overall is good if you are near or in Downtown Pittsburgh.<br> <br>

It's been a while since I wrote a review, mostly because I've been taking a break from strip clubbing. Recently (well not so recently, but a few months ago) Penthouse Club Pittsburgh opened. The goal was to resonate the Penthouse brand (high end) in a market that isn't particularly known to be "high end" per-se. I've had the experience (and spoilage) of visiting NYC several times, and most of the strip clubs there which are some of the best in the US. The girls there know everything about how to be a stripper - how to pull you in, provide GFE (if desired) service, even extras at the right venue and right price. They're also some of the hottest girls in the world. Anyways, enough about NYC, this is about Penthouse Pittsburgh. I decided to make my first visit at a not-so-good time as most would think, a Monday evening (roughly 10PM-midnight) - now this is not a great time because it's a Monday, there's no major sporting events on TV for Pittsburgh (home games and whatnot, which tend to draw in a lot of crowd since this venue is close to the stadiums), it's freezing cold outside AND there's a few inches of snow to hit the next day or so. But I went anyways, because I'd be leaving the city for Thanksgiving and I wanted to just get my mind off some things. So funny story - I actually drove past this venue, and it's located in a quieter area of town, very industrial strip. Didn't seem like anyone was there, it was kind of quiet, and the lot (there were many lots, so I assumed the one in front of the club was the valet lot) had only one car. I didn't think this would be worth it and left to Cheerleaders, the club I generally go to. Paid $5 valet & $10 cover at Cheerleaders (forgot the free admission card at my apartment) and walked in to see many girls of standard quality (in my books), nothing special, and there were actually significantly more girls sitting at the bar than actual patrons. The girls would make NO effort to speak to you, etc., and a few were talking to themselves. I stayed here and sipped on a drink for about 20 minutes before leaving, originally planning to go back home. I then decided (since they're actually only about 10 minutes away) to see if Penthouse had "improved" from my last outdoor assumption. This time, I said I'd go in anyways. One good thing about weekdays is that, due to its location, you can actually find a parking spot on the side streets VERY easily - there's like hundreds of them open, no parallel parking or anything, and it's free. So you save the normally $8 valet (which is still offered) when you come on a day like this. Entered, paid the $10 cover, and walked in. VERY beautiful club. Hands down the nicest in Pittsburgh. Goes with the Penthouse style (I've been to Penthouse NYC, which is a flagship Penthouse brand) and has very bright lights on a center lit stage, comfy revolving sofa chairs and tables, a nice, lit up bar with cushioned seats, clean bathrooms (although no bathroom attendant, I don't mind, saves me $1 each time and the bathrooms are cleaned by staff periodically) - anyways, beautiful interior. It's brand new so one would expect it to be high class. Now, not to my surprise, there were not many people here. Penthouse is marketed towards high-end clients, technically, and draws a lot of the crowd from the Rivers Casino which is like 2 minutes away. There were probably about 5-7 people in 2-3 groups when I came, and it actually never picked up from 10PM-12AM. The conditions today weren't great for crowd, and normally I'd hate that. Why? Because most dancers in Pittsburgh don't really know how to read potential customers, since so many of them at venues like Cheerleaders or Blush just sit there and spend no money on dances/girls and only buy drinks and watch. The girls have no "incentive" to really perform or look, so your only luck is, on a crowded day, there are a lot of girls at said venues (Cheerleaders, Blush) and you can simply find one and grab her yourself. Simple math: if there's a bigger sampling pool, you're probably going to find one that performs adequately. What impressed me about Penthouse is it is the closest thing to some of the NYC clubs I've been to, which again are probably some of the best in the US (Flashdancers in Manhattan, G2K in Long Island City, etc.). The girls are very hot, especially for a Monday, I pretty much found all 5-6 dancers there (which isn't a lot, but remember, there aren't many people in here - only 5-7 - so it works out great). I got one dance from 4-5 different girls, and each one performed great. The dances are $20, in a semi-private room with cool lighting (basically like a bathroom stall two side wall setup for privacy) - very clean and nice. Best of all, the girls ACTUALLY sit down and talk to you, and *not one* of the girls here had a negative attitude about life when I asked them how their day was going (a lot of girls at CL and other venues in Pittsburgh complain about the lack of business constantly; it's a headache). That being said, and you can read the other reviews of this post, Penthouse is known to attract higher profile clients - the ones that have money - so if you're going to sit here not spending money, there's less of a point being here since most of the crowd is casino-driven or spending some money. Even the few people I saw (only 5-7 there total) were spending some money, at least on good tipping on the stage (which is the main section of the club; a huge, very nicely lit Penthouse-style center stage that shows off the girls). For the most part, in US Strip Clubs (Tijuana, Mexico excluded - haha) I don't really tend to negotiate or ask for extras. Every single girl here sat and talked with me, approached, etc. on stage, and were well versed. They were positive and weren't pushy. And the dances were great - good contact, touching pretty much anywhere, and most of the girls went full nude (without me asking) - I didn't try to do anything extra so you could imagine (and some other reviews mention this) what a little extra $$ could do for extras here. I think this place has the most potential in Pittsburgh. I didn't negotiate anything extra but the dance quality, touching, grinding, etc. was far superior at $20 per dance than the $25 Cheerleaders cost and $30 Blush cost. The staff were very professional, bartenders made the drinks very, very strong, and they were decently priced for this kind of higher end venue (vodka cocktail was like $7, Corona was like $6, as far as I remember). Fancy VOSS water bottles ($5.xx - yes, welcome to a higher end club) and all that stuff; again, this place is a higher end venue and they are looking for someone who will basically spend $50+ on the girls (which is like essentially what you pay to get in the door in bigger markets, like NYC strip clubs, after cover/mandatory drink charge) - but Pittsburgh isn't that market. There's also no bar tab minimum, no auto gratuity, etc. Things like this do add up and it made me happy that I could use my card without worrying about having to rack up a $X minimum with a Y% fee on top of that which I may overlook. My drinks cost $26, I was billed $26 on my tab, and I closed it and added tip myself. Simple, respectful staff, and quality service all around. Thoroughly impressed by the club and had some great conversations with the girls since it was quieter. Some names to mention: Dallas, Cindy (one of my favorites in terms of looks), Autumn were all good and most of them were willing to go nude without asking. Again, excellent grind/touching, and very laid back in the dance room. Also, you build up a nice vibe before since they sit and chat, so it's really a lot "smoother" feeling - the girls don't push you generally during the conversation outside the lap dance area for a dance or even ask you to buy a drink. I was never asked to buy a girl a drink, nor ever mentioned any room pricing (but I believe other reviews mention the room pricing, which starts at $100/15 minutes, which is competitively priced, and I'm sure the service is a lot better (and lot better looking place/girls) than other venues in PGH). Overall, I'm glad I made my visit. Didn't spend too much (only about $150 total, which is good considering I got 4-5 dances), but had one of the best nights in terms of conversations and lap dances in the Pittsburgh market. Pretty (very, in comparison to other strip clubs in PGH) positive vibes all around. Definitely go to Penthouse if you want quality service from the girls and are actually looking to partake in the dances (or more) part of strip clubbing.

This is an update to my prior review on Erotica; if you are interested to see some of my prior experiences/information feel free to check it out. I've been to the club several more times since my last review, and the first thing I should say is the quality of girls has improved quite a bit since early 2013. More girls here that are consistently good looking and less hustle than other strip clubs in the area. The first thing I should really say is that, for mileage purposes, Erotica isn't the best. The dances can be very good contact with the right girl, but no touching in the lap dance area is pretty strictly enforced. Rooms, which start at $125/15 minutes with free alcohol do allow touching and the mileage can range from good to great. I haven't done a room here in a long time, so I wouldn't know if anything changed a ton, but by the looks it seems about the same. There are cameras in the room, but they are very roomy and large. They also bring you whatever drink you want pretty much, so that is kind of nice. The mileage in the rooms at Cheerleaders can be better, but again, this isn't the place to generally come looking for high mileage (although, to be honest, I've seen some pretty crazy things happen in the room). For better mileage (particularly during lap dances), Cheerleaders would be the best in Pittsburgh by far. I don't actually come to Erotica looking for super high mileage. It's a very chill place that doesn't get as packed as Cheerleaders does and there isn't as much of a hustle. Although Cheerleaders offers a lot in traditional strip club sense (girls will sit with you, you can buy drinks and cocktails, mileage is consistently good), it can get very, very packed. CL (Cheerleaders) is a big club, but when they have headliners (such as pornstars, which they have semi-frequently) it can get super, super crowded. Best bet for CL is going early (before 11PM on a weekend) or on a weekday. But, sometimes that's not an option, and Erotica fits well. If you like to drink a good amount, which I do not do as nearly as much anymore, Erotica is the place to be in terms of value for your money. Free alcohol and rail liquor/mixed drinks makes it a very relaxed atmosphere. You can't really talk with the girls besides the few seconds on stage when they come around, but sitting at the stage isn't required so you can actually have a good time here for a pretty low budget. And getting a dance here is easy - sometimes in CL when it's so packed you're going to have trouble even finding a seat at the bar let alone finding a girl to sit with you. You can go up to a girl at CL on those days but sometimes it's hard to walk! At Erotica, one good thing is you can, if wanted, find a girl on stage and either a) tip them like $2 and ask them to come see you when they're done or b) go upstairs and ask the bouncer at the dance area and request a dance with whomever. They'll call the girl and most of the times she'll be up in a few minutes, provided she's not on stage or in a room (the bouncers will check and let you know). That makes it easy if you're looking for a quick way to get a "guaranteed" dance. I still LOVE both clubs, but sometimes it can be difficult getting a girl at CL if you go during the wrong times/circumstances (after midnight on a weekend when they have a popular headliner, for example). A quick comparison between the two and some basic info for the people who just want the basics: - Cover is $10 on normal weekend nights at Cheerleaders, up to $20 on weekends when they have their headliners. $5 I believe on weekdays, which is good. Erotica is $20 on weekends, $10 on weekdays (I believe), but $25 on weekends after 2AM. The Erotica covers include unlimited drinking which is nice - the only cost is $1 for each cup, but you can bring the same cup and get drinks for free. I usually tip a dollar to the bartenders, but not required in any way. - Erotica has 3 stages, one large main stage and two smaller ones. They are usually all in use on weekends. A LOT of chairs and you should never have an issue getting a stage seat. Girls expect a dollar tip when they come and dance for you on stage. You can talk to them for a few minutes while they're on stage. I've never seen it get so packed to the point no stage seats are available. Cheerleaders, on the other hand, has two stages and two bars, and the stages are mainly for show because they're in the center of the bars away from all the seats. To tip the girls, you can throw them dollars from the bar, but they generally won't see you and you can't really get their attention. Better to try to get them to sit with you or go up to them. - Cheerleaders ends up costing more obviously due to the drinks, but Erotica is a pretty cool, chill environment when you want to relax. That's basically what it comes down to: CL is more traditional and Erotica is more laid back. Note that CL is very time/date dependent; if you come at the right time you're going to probably have a GREAT experience that will be better than Erotica for sure. - Erotica is located in a kind of shady location, but not too bad at all. Somewhat further away from the city limits but actually about the same distance from downtown for the most part during non-traffic hours (Erotica might be a bit more, but not very). - Valet costs $5 at each location. Mandatory. - Erotica is open until 4AM Thursday-Saturday (2AM otherwise), Cheerleaders is open 3AM Friday and Saturday and 2AM otherwise. Cheerleaders, since serving paid alcohol, has last call at 1:55 AM every day. Erotica is about 3:45AM on the weekends. - Cheerleaders has better mileage than Erotica once you get back in the dance rooms. They have no cameras in the private rooms. Smaller private rooms at CL but still very comfortable. At Erotica: large, roomy, and free "good" (won't get like Black Label, but Goose and Jack and the types are served) liquor is provided. Mileage is probably better at CL if you pick the right girl even in the rooms. For dances/rooms, especially dances, CL wins no doubt. - Smoking allowed in Cheerleaders anywhere, at Erotica they have a little smoke room which is cool for socializing. Also note, CL does *NOT* have an ATM, if you want cash it's kind of annoying since there aren't many accessible ATMs that are open. Bartabs are $20 minimum and they add tip/tax automatically. They have CL cash; I've only used this once (cost me like $55 for $50 worth - not a big fan of club money). Their driver, who can take you to an ATM if needed, can take a while. Erotica has an ATM upstairs, but it's $7 to use (fee). I get a refund on my fees so I don't really care. - Erotica has a free driver to pick you up in a limo, but $25 back, and they kind of expect you to take it back too. George, their driver, is nice though. You can probably end up hailing a cab back for ~$12 to most PGH locations. So technically cheaper to just cab it both ways, but the limo is huge (good group ride) and cheaper. CL - one great pro is the free ride there AND back, but the driver at CL takes a bit long to come sometimes. A good service though! Note that this was a long review, yes, but I wanted to compare the two clubs. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else in Pittsburgh - Erotica and Cheerleaders are the only two worth looking at. See my reviews of the other clubs for details. Haven't been to Blush for several months so I will probably go there soon to check it out and refresh my review. But as of now, stick with Erotica or CL. Hopefully this review should help you decide based on your mood for the day! As an update to my previous review, I've been to Cheerleaders several more times and it doesn't disappoint. The quality of dancers has improved since my first visit in January, and the variety of girls are certainly excellent. See my other review for more details about the basics (entry is $10 on weekends where it is open until 3AM instead of 2AM, $5 on weekdays, lap dances are $25 each). Don't have the room pricing on hand but it is around $120 for a 15 minute, $200-210 for a 30 minute, and $400 for an hour. On par with other clubs around the area. Drinks are on the higher side for Pittsburgh clubs, as in you'll be paying $6.50-7.50 for a Corona. Not too bad if you don't drink so much, and I don't really mind paying for drinks if I want them. Club is all smoking still, which I do not mind at all, but some may not like that atmosphere. If you find the right girl, you can have a great time in the back, and they're very friendly. Suggestion to anyone looking to get the best for their money - go on an off night such as Tuesday (which is even one of the more packed nights due to their 2-4-1 specials; $2 Coors Light and 2-4-1 lap dances until 12AM) and the girls will give you some good conversations. Money can go far here, but in terms of Pittsburgh's strip clubs, it is probably the most "expensive" per-se. Lap dance mileage can vary, but sensual touching is allowed and depending on the girl it can go a bit further than that. The mileage is actually the best in Pittsburgh in my opinion, compared to Erotica (no touching) and Blush (some touching allowed, depends on the girl). The rooms are nice and private. Certainly my favorite strip club in Pittsburgh!

Silky's in Pittsburgh was recently bought out under new management. I decided to visit the club for the first time on a late Saturday night since they had a Facebook special where it was (apparently) a $5 cover ($10 normal - $5 discount for the FB special) to get in and the fact that they are open until 5PM. After some clubbing on the South Side, I visited Silky's right before 3AM on a Saturday night. The club is tiny - the smallest club I've seen in Pittsburgh (and I've been to Cheerleaders, Erotica, and Blush). The crowd is very "ghetto" and the location is deeper in McKees Rocks which isn't a great area. Erotica, another club which I've frequented, is a lot closer to the borders of McKees Rocks and a lot closer to gas stations and more open. It is also significantly bigger. Silky's was a disappointment. First, the cover was $20, but the bouncer let us in for $10. This includes free alcohol (rail liquor or draft beer) like the neighboring Club Erotica. Not a big deal if the club was good - sadly, it was not. There were scraps of paper towels all over the ground, empty and spilled beer cups, and the bathroom was dirty. There was also no bathroom attendant in the one person (dirty) bathroom, and this is a usual for the other strip clubs in Pittsburgh that I've been to. Drinks are free (alcoholic), but non-alcoholic drinks are expensive - $2 gets you a small water bottle. They also have snacks which are relatively expensive. There are two stages that are crammed into the space - literally crammed - as you enter you can barely walk because the first stage is so close to the register where the bouncer is to take your cover. The stages have 2-3 poles each yet only one is occupied at a time (despite the seats being mostly full). With the "ghetto" crowd, I often saw many guys falling over and even one sleeping on the chairs beside the stage. Dancer quality isn't great either, and there are only 5-7 girls on shift. Didn't partake in any dances or VIP, but I would find that hard to get due to the super cramped nature of the club. The sound system was terrible and they have two announcers which repeat the same statements every minute and it is quite contradictory. The valet parking is pretty shady and they store your keys in a box that is on the floor outside the club out in the open. If you are in the McKees Rocks area or want the free alcohol, definitely go to Erotica. It is a LOT better and I truly enjoy it. You pay a little higher cover ($20 to get in, $25 after 2AM, open until 4AM) but you get a lot better interaction, it is a lot more roomy, and the crowd is a lot nicer. Getting a ride back is also easier since it is right next to two gas stations. If you want truly good mileage and a classy, upscale environment, hit up Cheerleaders - the best club in Pittsburgh hands down. Blush is worse than Erotica in my opinion (also small, limited mileage and rather expensive - see my other review about that), but certainly better than Silky's. Sadly, I don't think I'll be visiting again.

As a Pittsburgh native retuning from visiting New York (I visited most clubs there), I was happy to check out Cheerleaders. Although I've lived in Pittsburgh for a short while, before my trip to New York I had only frequented one strip club: Club Erotica. Cheerleaders was pleasantly different. A friend and I went Thursday and Friday evenings and stayed until closing, which is 2AM on most days and 3AM on Friday/Saturday (although by Pittsburgh law all establishments stop serving sold alcohol at 2). On Thursday, the cover was only $5 and it was still a modest $10 on Friday. The club looks upscale, especially for the Pittsburgh market. I've visited all the major clubs here - Cheerleaders, Erotica and Blush and Cheerleaders definitely wins. The club almost seems modeled from a NYC club. Things like coat check are nonexistent in most clubs but available at Cheerleaders. The dances are $25, which is higher than the $20 at Erotica (though there is absolutely no touching at Erotica) and cheaper than the $30 or 3 for $79 dances at Blush. In terms of mileage, it is very good. In fact, if I was to judge raw mileage I would say that this club has the most out of all the clubs I visited in NYC and Pittsburgh. The girls show desperation - this could be due to the holidays - but it works well for someone who is willing to get a few dances or even the $120 15 minute room. Many guys in here simply drink and eat (they serve food until 1AM which is very reasonably priced, in large portions and generally pretty good tasting). Drinks are expensive vs. other Pittsburgh clubs, but not super expensive. A Jack and Coke will run you about $6.50. Another thing about this venue is that it is all smoking inside. You'll see a lot of the girls smoking, some more than others. I'm used to the constant club-smoke atmosphere so it doesn't bother me, but I can see how it can bother someone who doesn't stand smoke well. In the end, if you go during the early evening - even on a weekend (though a bit more so on the weekdays), the girls will approach you (dress nicely!) and generally talk to you for a long time. I spoke to a girl for the whole night Thursday from 10-2. You'll find several late night entrepreneurs here, so keep that in mind :). In comparison with NYC clubs, the girls here are not as good looking consistently, although you will find some clear 8-9s. And you will definitely get your money's worth (even with a 7-9). All in all, great value, but definitely the most expensive in Pittsburgh. Cheerleaders is definitely my favorite strip club here, and I'll be returning soon for sure!

I visited Blush for the first time on a Wednesday evening. The club is TINY. It is smaller than a club I recently visited in the heart of Manhattan! Anyways, once we got in and paid the $15 cover charge we bought a Corona for $7 and sat at the stage. The girls are alright: nothing too impressive and honestly not my type. They can't really talk to you on stage but they'll expect a tip. Since we went on a Wednesday, it was quieter and my friend was able to get some conversations for 20-30 minutes. I do like that the lap dance area is "private" but I guess at $30 a dance (or 3 for 79) that is to be expected. Mileage on dances is good and the grinding is nice. I was a little drunk and stupidly purchased a room with a girl for an hour at $360. The vibe was good but it wasn't really worth that price. The rooms themselves are nice - they even have a private bathroom - and the mileage is sufficient. Though after being to Cheerleaders I can say that it's much lower here ;). At night, downtown Pittsburgh dies so it is impossible to find a cab and a bit sketchy walking. I would definitely recommend visiting another club in the area.

I've been to Club Erotica many times and are good friends with the bouncers. The staff here are generally nice and really cool. The location of the club is in a ghetto of sorts (McKees Rocks, PA). It isn't a very good location, but if you're just going to the club the security is tight enough and the area is just at the edge of the bridge so it isn't too bad. The reason I'm giving this club lower marks is simply because of a few things that I used to not mind but with experience at other clubs has led me to sadly care. The club itself is medium sized: it isn't as big as Cheerleaders but it is bigger than Blush. The size is actually perfect. If you're someone who likes to drink a lot, they have free drinks for all with the $20 cover charge until 4AM. The beer is Bud Light. I'm not a beer drinker, so when I go I usually end up drinking rail liquor mixed with coke or sprite depending. The atmosphere is pretty cool - there are three main stages and 1-2 (usually 2 on weekends) girls per stage will dance fully nude for you. They'll expect a tip - a dollar will suffice - and generally you can get their name/maybe a bit of basic info. Club Erotica is very stage based; most of the crowd frequents the stage and they have a TON of stage seats. The way lap dances work at Erotica are rather strange. Since the bar is just a place to get your drink (no chairs) and go, you can't really have bar conversation with the girls. At the end of the day, if you want to get a dance you pretty much have to know someone or do what most guys do and go upstairs. The upstairs bouncer will ask you who you want a dance with ($20 - prepay which also is disappointing) and call them on the club phone. This ruins the vibe for me. There is no feasible way to talk to girls since they're on stage for a very limited time - maybe 1-2 songs - and don't really walk around trying to get attention. While I can still tolerate this, once you pay and get the girl to the dance room you can't touch. This isn't up to the girl, but is STRICTLY enforced by the bouncers. The lap dance area is comfortable but limited and sadly the no-touching policy ruins it for me. Also, the dances are hit or miss. Some girls will give you a good grind and others will almost airdance. In the $125/15 minute rooms you can touch, but there are cameras and that is even limited. The mileage in the rooms here is sometimes even less than lap dances at the other Pittsburgh venues. I used to only frequent Erotica because of the free drinks (that is still a great deal), but I find that I don't need to drink very much to enjoy strip clubs. In the end, I'll still visit Erotica because I'm good friends with the guys who work there and it is fun to enjoy a stage based atmosphere once in a while.

I went here to check out the place with a friend. I was visiting New York and my friend (who lives in Manhattan) said I should check out Penthouse. The club decor is very, very nice. In terms of a strip club, it is pretty much the best you can get. As Penthouse is a steakhouse, they attract a lot of clientele looking for a meal overlooking the club. The atmosphere is very cool. For 8:30PM on a Friday, the club was pretty dead. We were told it picks up and there were currently 10 girls on shift, but we were actually the only guys in the club (there may have been one other, this is also excluding the people upstairs in the steakhouse). Two girls approached us after we had purchased our LITs (which were almost $30 each) and started talking to us. They were extremely good looking, and the girls here are consistently 8-9s. At Penthouse, you'll definitely find some of the hottest girls in NYC. We talked for a good 20-30 minutes before they proceeded to ask us to a room, which costs roughly $2000 for an hour. At that rate, there are plenty of other things you can do OTC and it really isn't worth it monetarily. We talked for a few minutes, my friend got the number of one of the girls and left to another club. It was an interesting experience, but unless you have a very large budget this place won't go far. You can tell that the regular lap dances (which I believe are still just $20) are very tame and the mileage isn't worth it. The rooms, again, are just too expensive, although this is how Penthouse runs their business. For the atmosphere it might be worth coming in and getting a drink, but it isn't the club for me.

I didn't really experience this club fully but this review is based on the value of the happy hour. It's a great value. For $5/drink you can get a ton of drinks, including LITs and Black Label. These are quite nice deals, especially for NYC (and even for Pittsburgh where I live). A friend and I entered the club and definitely took advantage of the happy hour. The bartender was very sweet and made the drinks strong. I usually prefer it that way, but for $5 I somewhat expected them to be watered down. This is not the case. I did glance over and at 7PM when we went the club wasn't super packed. There weren't very many girls on shift, but they were decent looking. 6-7 was the average here at the time. My friend who has gotten dances here before told me the mileage was decent but definitely nothing special. In terms of the happy hour, this place gets five stars. The actual atmosphere isn't too bad either. Also, none of the girls (there weren't many on shift - probably like 5-10 at the time) were pushy at all so that is great. If you're looking for a place to pregame and enjoy a strip club setting without spending too much money on drinks, come to Sapphire. The happy hour runs 6-8.

While visiting Chicago, I checked out Admirals. Admittedly, I was planning to go to VIPs but I was with a friend who was 18 so this was the only club available. I have heard mixed reviews but this is quite a Chicago classic. It is 18+, no alcohol and open until 6AM which is kind of cool. We walked in and payed the $25 cover charge sometime close to 1AM. I spoke to a bouncer because 60% of the club seemed to be VIP seating, which were the comfy sofa-type seats. He said "pay whatever" and I'll get you up there, so I gave him $20 for our group of 4. At $5 a person, I thought it was fair, though you could give whatever you wanted essentially. Once we sat down, we were given a table and a few chairs. You're technically supposed to get one drink (non alcoholic of course), but they don't really enforce it (at least in the VIP area). The drinks are like $6-7 for a soda so it is somewhat expensive, though it is Chicago and a strip club in general so you have to expect inflated prices. In VIP, the girls come up to you semi-frequently. A lot of the girls are masseuses that charge $10 for a decent massage with/without lotion. I partook in a few but after a while they get repetitive. The lap dances are $20-25 (forgot which one - sorry!) a piece and they usually do them right there are the chair where you are sitting or at a large sofa in the back. Mileage is average, generally full nude. A lot of the girls are not my type, but I saw a few 7+ and an occasional 8-9. They have a $75/3 song "special" which is worth it if you are planning to buy three lap dances. They take you into a private room with curtains and the mileage is better inside, you can talk a bit and it is a better vibe. Overall though, even with the rooms the mileage here is just OK. It exceeded my expectations and if I ever visit I may return, but I am curious to check out the other clubs in Chicago as well (my time was limited on this trip). All in all, and despite its large size and nice decor, it is alright value and just an average strip club for me.

A friend and I went to Show Palace after 4AM. We were not ready to end the night yet, and Show Palace was just a short hop from Gallaghers 2000. It is an after hours club open till 8AM. My friend is a native New Yorker and had been to Show Palace before. We walked in and were told to pay a $40 cover each, and then entered the club. Security is tight due to the "lower" quality of crowds. Once we were in, we sat at a table towards the back end of the club. The club itself is 18+, no alcohol. They serve fake alcohol, but it is rather expensive and probably tastes bad (as I've heard). The club has a very nice setup, probably one of the best in New York in terms of raw seating, lighting, and decor. It is quite a beautiful club, but sadly the quality inside does not live up to the looks. There were only about 6-8 girls on shift, and many of them were scattered around in the back so it seemed like it wasn't even a proper strip club. There were two stages, but after around 6AM (we left at 6:30) the stages were completely empty. Two girls came to us that honestly weren't our types and pushed us into getting a dance without even introducing themselves. In addition, we tried the Hookah which was horrible - it only lasted for 3-5 minutes each time and, despite us complaining to the hostess, the hookah did not improve. Drinks (Vitamin Water) were $12 a piece. It was an interesting experience for the decor, but not worth the $40 cover and overpriced/weak and improperly made hookah/expensive non-alcoholic drinks. Would recommend skipping this one.

This has got to be my favorite strip club in New York. I visited pretty much all the clubs in Manhattan and most in the Queens area, and Gallaghers does not disappoint. Since it is in Queens, the venue itself is rather large with lots of comfortable seating. The drinks are reasonably priced for the area and the bartenders are very friendly. There are three main stages: the bar stage, the "middle" stage and the back stage. The back stage is rarely used, and although we went on a Saturday it was quieter than usual (most likely due to the upcoming New Year holiday). A friend and I immediately entered and took the seats towards the middle stage, where we quietly talked and sipped on our drink. The girls here are not pushy and will generally give you a good conversation. They are consistently good looking and you'll definitely see some 8-9s. The average would be about 7, but that is a consistently high number for me. Lots of Asian/Latino/Eastern European if that's your type. I enjoyed the conversation with many girls, and purchased about 10 lap dances from different girls. The mileage is also consistently good, which is definitely a plus. It is the best you can get in NYC, and for the reasonably priced club (only $15 cover and $20 lap dances with postpay, which is better than a lot of places), it is definitely worth the time. I couldn't ask for more: a place with respectable, good looking girls and great dances at a reasonable price. If you're in New York, Gallaghers is the place to go.

Located near Times Square in the heart of Manhattan, Flashdancers is a very upscale, trendy club. The club itself is rather small (I'm from Pittsburgh, where our clubs our generally rather large), but that is to be expected for its Manhattan location. The girls here are among the hottest in New York and definitely experienced. The cover is fair at $20 and the drinks are expensive - a LIT ran me $22 + tip/tax. I'm alright with that, however, because it is to be expected for its location. The bartenders here are extremely friendly and good looking, and the girls will attempt to start conversation when they can. On weekend nights, the club gets pretty packed so conversation is harder to get, but my friend is a regular so he knows a lot of the girls here. Many Eastern Europeans and Latino girls. In terms of the dances, they are fairly priced at $20 each and the mileage is good. Sensual touching is generally allowed but varies girl to girl, although I had no issues with any of the girls I partook in dances with and it seems that is the way with most girls here. Flashdancers is definitely the high class club that many who visit NYC expect, and if you have a decent budget I would definitely recommend checking the club out.
