I've been to Club Erotica many...

I've been to Club Erotica many times and are good friends with the bouncers. The staff here are generally nice and really cool. The location of the club is in a ghetto of sorts (McKees Rocks, PA). It isn't a very good location, but if you're just going to the club the security is tight enough and the area is just at the edge of the bridge so it isn't too bad. The reason I'm giving this club lower marks is simply because of a few things that I used to not mind but with experience at other clubs has led me to sadly care. The club itself is medium sized: it isn't as big as Cheerleaders but it is bigger than Blush. The size is actually perfect. If you're someone who likes to drink a lot, they have free drinks for all with the $20 cover charge until 4AM. The beer is Bud Light. I'm not a beer drinker, so when I go I usually end up drinking rail liquor mixed with coke or sprite depending. The atmosphere is pretty cool - there are three main stages and 1-2 (usually 2 on weekends) girls per stage will dance fully nude for you. They'll expect a tip - a dollar will suffice - and generally you can get their name/maybe a bit of basic info. Club Erotica is very stage based; most of the crowd frequents the stage and they have a TON of stage seats. The way lap dances work at Erotica are rather strange. Since the bar is just a place to get your drink (no chairs) and go, you can't really have bar conversation with the girls. At the end of the day, if you want to get a dance you pretty much have to know someone or do what most guys do and go upstairs. The upstairs bouncer will ask you who you want a dance with ($20 - prepay which also is disappointing) and call them on the club phone. This ruins the vibe for me. There is no feasible way to talk to girls since they're on stage for a very limited time - maybe 1-2 songs - and don't really walk around trying to get attention. While I can still tolerate this, once you pay and get the girl to the dance room you can't touch. This isn't up to the girl, but is STRICTLY enforced by the bouncers. The lap dance area is comfortable but limited and sadly the no-touching policy ruins it for me. Also, the dances are hit or miss. Some girls will give you a good grind and others will almost airdance. In the $125/15 minute rooms you can touch, but there are cameras and that is even limited. The mileage in the rooms here is sometimes even less than lap dances at the other Pittsburgh venues. I used to only frequent Erotica because of the free drinks (that is still a great deal), but I find that I don't need to drink very much to enjoy strip clubs. In the end, I'll still visit Erotica because I'm good friends with the guys who work there and it is fun to enjoy a stage based atmosphere once in a while.
