As a Pittsburgh native retuning from visiting New York (I visited most clubs there), I was happy to check out Cheerleaders. Although I've lived in Pittsburgh for a short while, before my trip to New York I had only frequented one strip club: Club Erotica. Cheerleaders was pleasantly different. A friend and I went Thursday and Friday evenings and stayed until closing, which is 2AM on most days and 3AM on Friday/Saturday (although by Pittsburgh law all establishments stop serving sold alcohol at 2). On Thursday, the cover was only $5 and it was still a modest $10 on Friday.

The club looks upscale, especially for the Pittsburgh market. I've visited all the major clubs here - Cheerleaders, Erotica and Blush and Cheerleaders definitely wins. The club almost seems modeled from a NYC club. Things like coat check are nonexistent in most clubs but available at Cheerleaders. The dances are $25, which is higher than the $20 at Erotica (though there is absolutely no touching at Erotica) and cheaper than the $30 or 3 for $79 dances at Blush. In terms of mileage, it is very good. In fact, if I was to judge raw mileage I would say that this club has the most out of all the clubs I visited in NYC and Pittsburgh. The girls show desperation - this could be due to the holidays - but it works well for someone who is willing to get a few dances or even the $120 15 minute room. Many guys in here simply drink and eat (they serve food until 1AM which is very reasonably priced, in large portions and generally pretty good tasting). Drinks are expensive vs. other Pittsburgh clubs, but not super expensive. A Jack and Coke will run you about $6.50. Another thing about this venue is that it is all smoking inside. You'll see a lot of the girls smoking, some more than others. I'm used to the constant club-smoke atmosphere so it doesn't bother me, but I can see how it can bother someone who doesn't stand smoke well.

In the end, if you go during the early evening - even on a weekend (though a bit more so on the weekdays), the girls will approach you (dress nicely!) and generally talk to you for a long time. I spoke to a girl for the whole night Thursday from 10-2. You'll find several late night entrepreneurs here, so keep that in mind :). In comparison with NYC clubs, the girls here are not as good looking consistently, although you will find some clear 8-9s. And you will definitely get your money's worth (even with a 7-9).
