A friend and I went to Show Palace after 4AM. We were not ready to end the night yet, and Show Palace was just a short hop from Gallaghers 2000. It is an after hours club open till 8AM. My friend is a native New Yorker and had been to Show Palace before. We walked in and were told to pay a $40 cover each, and then entered the club. Security is tight due to the "lower" quality of crowds. Once we were in, we sat at a table towards the back end of the club. The club itself is 18+, no alcohol. They serve fake alcohol, but it is rather expensive and probably tastes bad (as I've heard). The club has a very nice setup, probably one of the best in New York in terms of raw seating, lighting, and decor. It is quite a beautiful club, but sadly the quality inside does not live up to the looks. There were only about 6-8 girls on shift, and many of them were scattered around in the back so it seemed like it wasn't even a proper strip club. There were two stages, but after around 6AM (we left at 6:30) the stages were completely empty. Two girls came to us that honestly weren't our types and pushed us into getting a dance without even introducing themselves. In addition, we tried the Hookah which was horrible - it only lasted for 3-5 minutes each time and, despite us complaining to the hostess, the hookah did not improve. Drinks (Vitamin Water) were $12 a piece. It was an interesting experience for the decor, but not worth the $40 cover and overpriced/weak and improperly made hookah/expensive non-alcoholic drinks. Would recommend skipping this one.
