I went here to check out the place with a friend. I was visiting New York and my friend (who lives in Manhattan) said I should check out Penthouse. The club decor is very, very nice. In terms of a strip club, it is pretty much the best you can get. As Penthouse is a steakhouse, they attract a lot of clientele looking for a meal overlooking the club. The atmosphere is very cool. For 8:30PM on a Friday, the club was pretty dead. We were told it picks up and there were currently 10 girls on shift, but we were actually the only guys in the club (there may have been one other, this is also excluding the people upstairs in the steakhouse). Two girls approached us after we had purchased our LITs (which were almost $30 each) and started talking to us. They were extremely good looking, and the girls here are consistently 8-9s. At Penthouse, you'll definitely find some of the hottest girls in NYC. We talked for a good 20-30 minutes before they proceeded to ask us to a room, which costs roughly $2000 for an hour. At that rate, there are plenty of other things you can do OTC and it really isn't worth it monetarily. We talked for a few minutes, my friend got the number of one of the girls and left to another club. It was an interesting experience, but unless you have a very large budget this place won't go far. You can tell that the regular lap dances (which I believe are still just $20) are very tame and the mileage isn't worth it. The rooms, again, are just too expensive, although this is how Penthouse runs their business. For the atmosphere it might be worth coming in and getting a drink, but it isn't the club for me.
