At one time my favorite strip club in Denver (PT's World Famous) had male strippers on Saturday evenings, and also had an open floor for couples to dance. I think that feature vanished with the corporate homogenization of the Evil Empire. At an earlier time I walked into a strip bar in downtown Montreal and misread the sign "Danseurs Nus" as "Danseuses Nues" and got quite a surprise. I finished my beer and no one harassed me. Interesting experience -- watch the endings in Romance languages.

As for the last two decades, I stay at home and watch the ball drop. On New Years Eve, if the cops don't get you, the drunks will.

In some of the prairie provinces a bar that has entertainment license must be affiliated with a hotel...thus the name.

As a retired teacher who attended all boys schools and never saw a schoolgirl, especially a Caatholic one, riding the bus, or coure I am charmed to see these delightful scholars showing off on stage. However, I have been informed that some of these perky pupils are wicked girls indeed, and should be thoroughly spanked

It has always bothered me that you can marry for love (a fairly recent invention) or money or social position or for instant passion or revenge and they are all considered good and sufficient reasons, but if you say, "I will marry her so I can come and live in the greatest country in the world", that will get Immigration and Customs Enforcement banging on your door and asking which toothbrush you use.
