Here’s another one for you.
Let’s say you graduate college at 21 and have a good enough job that you find someone willing to let you finance a $50,000 car over 5 years. But, instead, you buy a $10,000 used Honda and drive it for 5 years. Plus, you take all the money you would have used for payments and contribute aggressively to a 401k.
The month you invested, instead of car payments for that one car, would be worth over $1M at retirement.

A: Not mathematically possible, it does not add up, is just common sense.
Here’s the math. Someone who invests $500 every month, earning 10% per year ( the historical stock return ), will have over $1M after 30 years.
This would be the case for someone making $60,000 per year and consistently putting 10% into their 401k from the age of 20 to 50. If they did this from 20 to 65, they’d have over $3M.
Not everyone has the discipline to do this. The people who do are called millionaires. Some of them are plumbers,or accountants, or any other average American.

Dave Ramsey uses the term “ everyday millionaire “. These are people who have a net value between $1M and $5M. The vast, vast majority of these people earned every dollar they have. They worked long, stressful hours for decades, led a modest lifestyle, and invested every spare dollar. Along the way, they raised a family, gave to charity, and plan on leaving something to their children and grandchildren.
These are the people the left calls the 1%, implying this money was handed to them, or they mysteriously stole it from those “ less fortunate”. The left believes this money should be taken by the government to be distributed to people claiming to be victims.

The Wild Goose south of LAX. It was a topless place with a full luncheon buffet. The place was packed with aerospace workers on their lunch break M-F. When it closed, it was the end of an era.
We’ll never see anything like it again in todays environment.

I had business partners, ostensibly smart people, who made $500,000 per year and had to take out loans to finance their lifestyle. I think a lot of people think they can spend their way to happiness. People at every level.

Another years-ago study correlated happiness with income. It found a correlation between happiness and income up to about $60,000 ( probably $80,000 in today’s dollars ). After that, more money didn’t make people happier over the long haul.

There was a study, years ago, that asked people at all income levels, how much money they would need to be comfortable. The answer was 20% more than they were currently making. People making $50,000 wanted $60,000. At $100,000, they needed $120,000. And, so on.
This suggests to me that false expectations about spending and poor money management are as consequential as income levels.

4:30 is about the worst time to go to S44, along with many clubs. A lot of the day shift is gone, especially the more popular dancers who have met their goal for the day.

“There's a lot of keeping up with the Jones going on“
It’s worse than that. People are keeping up with the lies the Jones tell on social media about how perfect their life is. In fact, it’s possible that a small number of TUSCL members slightly exaggerate their sexual exploits. Difficult to believe, I know.

The internet changed everything about our lives forever. For one thing, it changed our view about what is an acceptable level of ( house, car, sex partner, vacation, job, etc ). It used to be, an average guy was happy with an average level of all these things. Now, a guy in the 50th percentile is only happy with the upper one percentile ( like onlyfan models ). That’s why so many people are miserable.

The hunt can be part of the fun. When a club disappoints me, I’ll still stop by every few months to see if anything has changed. Eventually, you’ll discover a hot dancer to put a smile on your face.

“The Fed is charged with keeping interest rates as low as possible without causing inflation. “
Wrong. The official mission for the Fed is
“conducts the nation’s monetary policy to promote maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates in the U.S. economy”
It’s a balancing act which has conflicting goals, which is part of the problem.

The discipline to delay gratification is the key to long term success, whether for strippers or PLs. If, in your 20s, you put effort into building marketable skills while living within your means, it’s likely you will have a comfortable life in your 30s and beyond.
Many strippers do the opposite. They make great money in their 20s, spend it all, and have no marketable skills once they age. Not all strippers, but many.

I’ve noticed that Fancy has become quite popular in recent months. I suspect that comments about her ( including mine ) on TUSCL have something to do with that. Bummer.

The narrative that there is a shortage of homes in the US ignores the fluid nature of household formation. During good economic times, people can afford to live by themselves or own second and third homes. When times are tough, they get roommates, move back home, or sell their vacation and investment properties. As a result, home prices fall, rent drops, and there is ample housing available. We have entered that period.

People with STEM or healthcare degrees are thriving. So are the trades.
People who think trade and technical jobs are beneath them, or don’t want to work hard enjoy enough to get a STEM degree, are failing.

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
While we know it was a communist who pulled the trigger on JFK, it was someone with organized crime ties ( Jack Ruby ) who killed Oswald before he could talk. The mafia had helped JFK “win” Illinois. Then, JFK and his attorney general brother, RFK, turned on the mafia. So, they had motive too.
We’ll never know what really happened.

Lee Harvey Oswald. An avowed communist who had lived in Russia and had ties to communist Cuba. Didn’t you learn this in school ?

JFK was an early example of the media falling in love with a politician and doing whatever they could do to help him. Even after his death, at the hands of a communist, the media blamed his death on right wing hate in Texas.

“ we both agree that absolutely no regular citizen needs an assault rifle”
What’s an assault rifle ? Seriously, define it.
If you mean an automatic fire weapon, those are already illegal.
As best I can tell, people who use the term assault rifle mean “ scary looking gun”.

Covid wasn’t the disrupter, it was the political decision to lock down the country for two years and mandate vaccines. Sweden did none of that and they weathered Covid better than most.
