San Francisco's prostituion proposition failed.

Proposition 8 was the costliest prop ever on the ballot. As for supporters and non supporters. Only the state of California can legalize prostitution. Frisco tried to circumvent this by making it illegal to investigate or prosecute prostitution. It failed but only by 16%. I was shocked that it did this well. There two states that allow prostitution. Yes, you know Nevada. It is by county option. Clark county (Las Vegas) it is illegal. The casino operators are do not want the competition for your buck and make a powerful lobby. Now, What is the other state? If you said Rhode Island. You are correct. It is legal because there is no law to make it illegal. Bordellos are illegal and some other laws meant to discourage it.

I really had my hopes up for San Fran. It's already my fave place to visit, and decriminalized hooking would've made it heaven-in my eyes.

Pimps would love to have no prostitution laws. Kidnap girls from Nebraska and sell their ass on the streets of San Francisco. Yay for San Francisco!!!

As much as I hate to Agree (I supported Prop K) I DO think that ANY measure that makes Prostitution must ALSO make Pimping HIGHLY ILLEGAL with a MINIMUM 5 - 10 Years Prison with NO POSSIBILITY of CAROL OR PROBATION (Fuck you, you POS Corrupt Eastern European Judges!) Prop K as it stood was not a Perfect Proposition BECAUSE it didn't make Pimping Illegal, so Kidnapping/Sex-Slave Trafficking would be rampant. There are Sex-Slaves in Tampa Florida. Next time you're at your Local Strip club, notice that BEAUTIFUL stripper who doesn't speak ANY English and consider how she got to America and passed the Visa Process without knowing English. She is most likely Illegal, was placed in the club by a pimp, AND for the right price, he will loan her to you for a few hours. Some of you will probably be happy to find this out, but I for one, will NEVER knowingly sleep with a women is not a FreeBorn. Karma everyone, she's a bitch, and she's in EVERY major religion. ALL of them.
