It's so long past time for us to finally defang Iran. They are a menace with no plans of stop[ping. Over these past several years, they have:
- Funded proxy terrorists spreading violence all over the Middle East for decades, not only in Israel but also in other Arab countries.
- Refused to stop trying to develop a nuclear weapon.
- Lied to us at every turn through countless Presidencies.
- Been responsible for countless American deaths over the last several decades.
- Made their feelings about Israel crystal clear in countless ways, notably including when they called it "a one bomb country."
- Killed 30,000 of their own people just to suppress protests.
- And now, when finally being held to account for their ceaseless aggression, are indiscriminately attacking their neighbors as well as ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
This regime can never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon, no matter what it takes to stop them. They have made it crystal clear that they were never going to stop.
This is as righteous a cause as there ever was and maybe ever will be. The world will be a much safer place once Iran's industrial base is completely leveled.
We will probably not know until years in the future if this war was a mistake. It could end with a victory or it could become another Vietnam style quagmire. North Vietnam was another country we were going to bomb back to the stone age. The Iranians will most likely retaliate to massive American air strikes by bombing the oil production facilities of our Middle East allies. If they are successful, we are likely to see higher prices here in this country, followed by a recession and the Republicans doing badly in the midterms.
