Liberals stoke violence

Avatar for rickdugan

What we are seeing in modern politics is what happens when one party turns to extreme rhetoric to stoke the flames of anger among its supporters.
.
Two attempts to assassinate Trump; the killing of Kirk, bullets shot indiscriminately into an ICE detention facility; multiple other attacks on ICE agents; the rise of rabid antisemitism and violence against American Jews; politicians unable to use restrooms or eat in public without being accosted by mindless angry people who disagree with them; riots where homes and businesses are not safe...the list goes on.
.
This is what happens when one party instills never-ending victim mentality in its followers. And when you teach them to demonize their enemies as colonizers, fascists, oppressors, etc. And when you treat every policy disagreement as some great existential crisis. And when you position yourself as the resistance to all things evil. And when you teach your followers to view traditional concepts like family values, self-dignity and religion with scorn and derision.
.
Then, when it all comes to a predictable frothy head, you tacitly approve of the resulting violence and other bad behaviors through silence and inaction.
.
The Democratic Party is truly an ugly sight to behold right now.

So Trumps Republican Party is just an innocent babe in the woods.
This independent non affiliated voter thinks you need to look both ways before trying to cross the street.

Trump has certainly not helped I'll readily admit.
.
But the orders of magnitudes cannot be compared. This Dem party is going off the rails. Also, their descent into an "ends justify the means" approach to politics and policy started long before Trump arrived on the scene - it began during Obama's Administration and has only worsened since.

25iq is a dyed in the wool, hatd- leftist, social justice warrior. He has pretended to be otherwise since Biden's earliest actions in office, which were disastrous. He is one of the first to accuse MAGA - affiliated posters, like myself, of being Nazis, fascists, and threats to democracy simply because we speak out for beliefs which differ from his.

In short, people like 25iq are the problem. They refuse to admit the rot and failure at the core of the democrat party the complete failure of all their policies, and the hate-based rhetoric they use to create violence and dysfunction on our society.

Leftists are the problem. The democrat party is the party of hate, violence, aggression. A patriot would never support a democrat candidate in their current form.

Might the rhetoric we hear, be exacerbated by the President of the United States, inflaming both his supporters and his detractors with his daily incendiary rhetoric and his never ceasing chaos, or perhaps just plain stupid remarks about events that never occurred.

Trump is a necessity in this political climate.Kinder gentler republicans like Romney and McCain did not get kinder gentler treatment by democrats. So we got Trump. This isnt a decent political environment that will attract good people to want the job.

I often read comments about 'why do republicans want such a bad person' and the answer is that no matter how bad he is, we would never vote in favor of democrats. Besides, we find the complaints of democrats for what they are, political.

What happened in nineteen thirties Germany was that the moderate middle disappeared, leaving the choice of Nazis or Marxists to vote for. There was still a small Catholic party and, even though I am non-religious, I would have voted for that.

The same is happening here. If you go back and look at the Kennedy and Nixon debates, there was not the same level of hostility as recent presidential debates. We really do not all belong in the same country anymore. The last time Americans came together was after 9/11.

I hear what you’re saying, but you are ignoring recent history. Despite Trump’s considerable bragging the limited success that he has achieved is due to Mitch McConnell, the former Senate Majority and Minority Leader who managed to pack the Court with judges who were inclined to side with POTUS, whether you agree or not Trump would be nowhere without those justices on the Supreme Court.

pbs.org. 75 to 80% of violence is by the right wing as can be seen by the data. Violence could also include Republicans taking health care away from people causing people to needlessly die. The Big Beautiful Bill is going to kill many many people. It will cause rural hospitals and nursing homes to close and all of our health insurance costs will skyrocket needlessly.

Dusty, you can pull out all the math for morons you want. You can also say utterly stupid things about deaths caused by taking away tax payer funded healthcare for young able bodied people who can find health insurance using a number of other channels. But that doesn't change what we can see right in our faces about where most of this violence is coming from.
.
But thank you for serving as Exhibit A for the problem with hyperemotional morons who treat every policy agreement as an existential threat. Sadly, since people like you are just smart enough to read and absorb melodramatic click bait, but too damned stupid to do your own research and conduct a broader dispassionate analysis of the issue, it is up to your leaders to set the right example. Sadly though they are not.

The idea that the Supreme Court was "packed" or that their recent decisions haven't been 100% constitutionally correct, is why there will be no compromise. It is simply a lie and an admission that the Democrats did that. I know when a prospective client is sitting across my desk going on and on about their spouse cheating, that hile the spouse might or not be cheating, it is 100% assured that the complainer is. Just like the Democrats cannit fathom that Republicans didn;t pack the court because that is what they have been doing since the murderer Ted Kennedy started making everything about the court political with Robert Bork.

Dusty is lietrally an imbecilic robotic left-wing drone without an original thought. No one's health care has been taken away, just the free ride. The abject, effeminate hysteria among leftist males is appalling.

Watching America die at the hands of the left is sickening, but I knew this 50 years ago and planned for it. 16 people coming over for poker league tonght, desires tomorrow, climbing Mt Jefferson saturday and pats game Sunday. Routine weekend in this hard-working, native american republican's life.

I love all the anecdotal evidence, devoid of facts, presented by progressives as an "argument" Perfect example: All of Gaza is starving. They have been for a year. One day I might see a thin person there, but for people who don't work and contribute nothing they all seem to be eating.

The way I see it is that someone is making progress securing the border, removing illegal aliens, fixing our purchasing power and giving us Tax relief. The other side is complaining, pouting, suing, dancing and chanting. One has policy and 1 does not. I am an independent so I do not have a side I have to support no matter how much I disagree with it. My biggest beef with America is media. Media is pouring out lies, mis-information, etc., to create hate. They do this for money and I firmly believe it is hate created by media which is spurring people to commit crimes.

It is indeed. Maybe this is what happens when we have a generation of boys growing up without stable father figures in their lives, Idk. But what I do know is that it's been fertile ground for the rise of all sorts of bad behaviors, including some really extreme stuff on the fringes.

The beginning of the end of the masculine male in America began on April 22, 1993. Everyone in the divorce bar knew it. The simple fact is that the woman killed in Charloyte, Charlie Kirk, the children in the church school and on and on are 100% on the democrats. They intentionally use nazi imagery in the hopes one of their sicko base will be compelled to kill.
In fact the court I appeared in this morning was infected by progressives blocking the way. Shouting out their Jew hating Nazi slogans and suppoting the criminals known as illegals. Cost my client $450.00 due to delays. Nope, I always make out why would anyone other than an idiot think I would eat the money?

Rickdugan being dumb enough to believe that Trump gives a flying fuck about anyone but himself is utterly amazing. What a fucking moron! Trump wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. Trump's only agenda is to settle scores and to enrich himself as much as possible and he'll break whatever laws necessary to do it. Wake the fuck up!! The super rich getting richer and everyone else getting poorer makes our country much much weaker. That is exactly what is happening thanks to Republicans.

Charles Krauthammer put it this way: The GOP believes Dems are wrong. The Dems believe the GOP is evil.

Calling people Nazi, Fascists, racists, Hitler are words that fuel the potential evil in weak minds suspectable to brainwashing. Charlie Kirk was a serious threat to the Dems who feel they own anyone from 5-25. The outpouring from the age group that the DNC thought they had on their "Plantation" shows just how wrong & disconnected the DNC/Dems is/are. This age group, especially the 13-29, was turned into Charlie Kirk and he gave them a different perspective to think about. They knew what they were being told in public school, like feeding geese to make foie gras, wasn't right. Charlie was a serious threat to the DNC Machine. And, the rhetoric that spawned brainwashed weak minded people into "Monster from the Id" that decided killing the only solution, not debate/discussion, are now on autopilot.

Look how conservatives are treated on college campuses. Colleges claim they can't book them due to security worries as the Leftist "Blue Shirts" can't be controlled.

Tell me again how people on the "Right" are a problem. Or that Trumped "packed" the court with "his" people. He got Constitutionalists on the SC who don't always rule in his favor. Meanwhile, Obama got SC Kagan on the SC, she was an architect for ObamaCare and designed it so it wouldn't be taken down by the SC and YET she has never recused herself. And yeah, I blame all Senate Republicans who voted to conform her.

The latest SCJ, the DEI/Woke "appointee", couldn't even try to define a woman and her rulings/opinions had been overruled by the SC like 78% of the time, and now she is on it?

I don't think the difference is so much in the rhetoric, both parties do it. The difference is in the reaction of their respective constituencies. The leftie libs call people fascist, Nazi, etc., and their mindless base interprets that to mean they can (and should) be murdered like rabid dogs. To them, every concept, every word, every reaction, can only be black or white. They don't understand nuance or sarcasm.

Trump calls people losers, animals, monsters, scumbags, shithole countries... and his base simply agrees with him. They don't set out to commit murder.

Why this difference? Because most of the leftist fringe have almost nothing to lose, with their purple hair and bizarre desire to cut their dicks off. And the concept of victimhood has been drilled into their thick skulls for so long that they believe they have even less to lose than they actually do. And that's a mindset that opens the door to violence. Hell, if you truly believe the only thing that will give your life meaning is to leave a legacy of murder, you've got serious problems.

@rickdugan the left absolutely engages in more violence domestically, i agree with you there. I remember years back, there was a KKK rally somewhere and people were complaining about it… the complaints were all about the fact they are marching with hate speech. Because even the most extreme fringe element of the right, was still basically a more peaceful gathering compared to many BLM antifa gatherings.

Now that said, the right is absolutely more violent when it comes to foreign policy. People on the right are much more likely to be warmongers, to want to bomb a bunch of foreign countries etc. so its almost like both sides have their place, if you look at it from the perspective of the people at the top want to encourage chaos and violence… they have the left for domestic violence and the right for foreign violence. People on the right are much more likely to want to deport immigrants/be okay with attacking them/support the idea that immigrants have less value as a human than non immigrants etc.
so when it comes to this specific topic of which side is more violent it becomes hard to really say. Also the pro life thing is kind of a gimmick… if your against abortion but you want to bomb random countries or shoot people for attempting to cross the border, that s not really an overall pro life stance.

Republicans want to debate dems. Dems want to label Republicans.
If I say that we need a secure southern border and should deport illegal aliens, the dems call me a "racist."
If I say that we should be more strict and careful in vetting refugees from Middle Eastern countries with active terrorist problems or antagonistic governments, the dams call me "Islamophobe."
If I say that young children should not be allowed to take puberty-blockers, receive sex-change surgeries, and other life-altering, irreversible medical procedures which they may regret later in life, the dems call me "transphobic."
When I say I voted for Trump because the democrat party candidates have been unqualified, dishonest, or radical while Trump has had more success fixing the economy, restoring national security, beating our enemies, and building a stable world order in 5 years than the dems have in 12, I am a "nazi."

You see what's missing, right? The dems have no argument or warrant to introduce against my opinion. They do not want to debate, because they cannot debate, because the facts are against them. So, they label us instead. If they label us, they can avoid debate. This is why so few liberal democrat new shows feature capable Republicans, or at least feature RINO guests. When they do feature true conservatives, they risk honest debate and that is a risk they cannot take. That is why no democrats show any evolution of their thinking on TUSCL. It's a consequence free zone where they can simply ignore or skim over posters who would make them consider their positions. Then they label us, because they would fail on the facts.
