Great question! When it comes to stripper or sex worker movies, some of my favorites are Hustlers for its empowering storyline and Magic Mike for the pure entertainment value and insight into the industry. Both films show a different side of the profession, with engaging characters and stories.

I really liked that flick too.
Also came here to mention "Leaving Las Vegas", Elizabeth Shue was hot in her prime.

Wow, I hadn't thought about "Leaving Las Vegas" in a long time, but I do remember that being a good film...
Did Marisa Tomei once have a role where she played a stripper???

There are so many great films that explore the world of strippers and sex workers, each bringing a unique perspective. Hustlers (2019) does a great job showcasing the power dynamics and survival instincts of women in the industry, while Magic Mike (2012) gives a more playful yet surprisingly emotional look at male stripping. Belle de Jour (1967) is a classic for its psychological depth, and The Girlfriend Experience (2009) offers a more intimate, almost documentary-like approach to escorting.
For those who enjoy discussions about the portrayal of sex work in media and real-life experiences, sexobello.com has some interesting conversations around these themes. Always great to hear different takes on how these stories are told!

^ Ah, thanks. I guess I need to add that film to my watch list, and I've never seen Hustlers either, so clearly I have some research to do on this topic... :)

Not really stripper movie, but Marisa Tomei portrayed the kind of milf stripper I love:

Hard to believe Marisa also played Aunt May in Spiderman. Sorta like Sally Fields playing Forrest Gump's mother.

Here’s a pair of oldies “Sweet Charity” starring Shirley MaClaine, and Klute starring Jane Fonda.

Maya Rudolph as the hooker "Rita" in Ideocracy, a comedy which sadly turned out to be a documentary on the future of America.

Shadowcat beat me to it.
Dancing at The Blue Iguana is by far the most accurate and best strip club movie.
It’s my favorite movie.

Some good ones mentioned. Showgirls with Elizabeth Berkley was decent.

Although the sex and nudity is disappointing, Closer (2004) is a legitimate good film and my former stripper FWB really identified with Natalie Portman's Alice character

“Blue Lagoon” - absolutely.
“Showgirls” was seriously bashed that now has cult status. I too liked it.
Take a try on “Looking For Mr Goodbar” - one of my favorites of all time.

“”American Gigolo” is also good, shows a different side (1980)

Though not a stripper movie per se. there’s a pivotal scene in “30 Minutes or Less” that takes place in a strip club. Much of the movie was filmed in Grand Rapids, Michigan and they auditioned actual Michigan dancers for the background cast and I knew a dancer who got a non speaking part.

Not a movie but the book Stripper Lessons is also by John O’Brien. He is the author of the book for Leaving Las Vegas. Recommended read.

Love this topic! “Anora” definitely deserves the buzz — raw, honest, and surprisingly tender. Some of my other faves:
Hustlers – great performances and a unique look at empowerment through survival.
Zola – wild, stylish, and based on one of the most iconic Twitter threads ever.
Secret Diary of a Call Girl (okay, technically a series) – loved how it balanced glam and reality.
Also, for those who appreciate the real-world side of high-class companionship, diva-escort.com offers a fascinating glimpse into that world — classy, professional, and full of stories waiting to be told. ✨

"Dancing at the Blue Iguana" for sure.
I know they were fake, but I fucking loved Demi Moore's new tits and abs in "Striptease."
The ba-da-bing dancers in Sopranos and the dancers in Californication, while background extras, were always top notch.

I feel sorry for you. You can't get anything right, and you are so beaten down and defeated in life you no longer even try. That still doesn't excuse the chip on your shoulder, nor your jealousy for those of us who are squared away.

Vote #4 or 5 for Dancing at the Blue Iguana.
Also an honorable mention to Hustlers. I found their portrayal of strippers and the clubs to be a bit over the top at times, especially in the early scenes. But the shark like mentality of the NYC club staff, including their willingness to play fast and loose with credit cards, was right on the money IMO. NYC clubs were my playground for several years in the 2000s and they're the reason I haven't put a credit card down in a club in almost 20 years.

^ Ooooh, look at the internet tough guy hiding behind a keyboard. You've already told us you're deaf without your hearing aids and too damn blind to walk around a dim club without tripping over tables. I'm supposed to worry about kicking your geriatric ass? You are a known loser. You're a known small-penis energy loser who begs others to help him in online feuds. You're a known sad, lonely, bitter, old man with a chip onnhis shoulder. Even Founder has described you as an angry old dick. You're not worth an elderly assault charge, which you've already threatened when shit got too real for you. You keep bluffing on the internet, though everyone knows that's the real loser move.

We were in trouble with ignorant, bitter old men like Biden- 25IQ's more successful homosexual fantasy- running the government.
My generation, Gen X, has successfully worked with Millennials -Sinclair, for instance- to red-pill other Millennials and guide Zoomers and Generation Alpha (no real name yet) to understand the damage which liberals and leftists have done to our nation. We care about the future and the country we leave for future American generations.
25IQs obsession with hating others underscores what a sad, lonely, bitter old man he is. No wonder he is rising on the ignore list. It does not matter to me, but it seems very important to him. For my part, if you do not want to read what I write, then you cannot be helped and are not part of the solution. 25IQ needs validation from fellow perverts and incels because he has no family or friends offline. The thought of touching grass makes him crap his pants.
