Why has Vegas strip clubs gone down hill?

It feels like the past 5 years of Vegas experiences on this front have not been like they were the 5 years prior. Why high cost and less anything? Haven’t seen more lawsuits, violence, or patronage. Other cities feel like they are thriving. Now there’s one club I have never been to but I’ll try it top of list next time….

last commentMore like 20 years, Cheetahs, Crazy Horse II , Olympic Gardens were awesome, day and night. Low entry fees, Cheetahs would give you a year pass, loaded with girls, $20 lap dances, always stage action, OG would have several stages going. It was like a big party. What happened is the corporate clubs took over and jacked prices like never seen before. Last time I went to one, which was a long time ago, I spent $100 just walking in the door and talking to a couple ladies who of course ordered drinks
I only get to club once or twice a year, for a few days at a time.....and NEVER in my hometown, hence, Vegas.
I REALLY miss the old Cheetah's and OG. We would go in there and pull work shifts at a time....8-12 hours. Order food in with the girls on shift, do our drugs all day.....it was amazing.
Now we get by with Chica's and daytime Spearmint. This next round, I'm going to try Las Toxicas, and maybe Play it Again or that other little one with no day cover. Haven't found much happiness at CH3, Sapphire, Peppermint Hippo, or Sophia's (is that still open?). Never tried Treasures or Little Darlings.
Dumb Ass story: My very first strip to Vegas after turning 21, we got suckered by the cab driver to hit the Can-Can Room. Total scam out (clip joint). That turned me off to the clubs for a solid decade. And then.....Cheetah's.....
Same reason why the rest of Vegas has gone downhill… everything has turned corporate and big business and those entities are all about one thing… making as much money as fast as possible… little value given back to the customer and long term investment in that customer for repeat business is not even close to a priority for these businesses.
One of the issues is the casinos dont want customers going to strip clubs so they have always been low milege.
I've only been once. Has Vegas shifted more towards hosting conventions over the years, versus vacationers? I would guess there are more newb-rubes among the conventioner PLs. Which makes for more bait-and-switch in the clubs.
Robert DeNiro was right in "Casino," the whole city has been set up to take your money.
Most overrated city I've ever visited.
I love Vegas. Been going for 20 years or more. The clubs have definitely deteriorated. Cheetahs $10 daytime dances were awesome and some shit would go down in the common dance area. Ch2 was awesome. Fun at rhino and OG as well. I had a good couple times at palomino and ch3 but that was nearly 5 years ago or more. That said, I still love the town. When I’m out there I have 3-4 days to not worry about anyone but myself. Thanks to chicas, a hostess bar and the civvies at the pools and bars, there’s still plenty of fun to be had.
Covid put the nail in the coffin for Vegas clubs. Ch2 going down by the feds certainly was a sign of the downturn. Add in that the large amount of tourist numbers can sustain the ridiculous costs, they don’t care if you have a good time or not unlike south Florida. I’m sorry guys but the democrats ruined Nevada it is a mini California. The governor now in Nevada is trying to clean up the state but the legislature blocks a lot of his proposals. The truth hurts sometimes.
All very helpful. Of course the urge and opportunity is still there, thanks for the tips on where you are heading next when there….
“Covid put the nail in the coffin for Vegas clubs.”
So true.
There was a time when I was going to Vegas almost once a month for years. Flights were cheap, comps were good, food and booze was priced “cheap” to “reasonable.” I could get a top tier room for under $150 a night, no resort fee, I didn’t have to pay $25 a day for parking my rental car, I could play in 5 $50 poker tournaments a day, and I could sit on the Palazzo casino floor at Laguna bar and drink glasses of Dom Perignon for $14. I don't know anywhere else in the country you could do that at that price.
I feel like after COVID Vegas jacked the prices on everything to make up for lost time and…
People flocked there and didn’t care what it cost because they were locked in their homes for 2 years, especially Californians.
With all these people coming and still coming long after COVID Vegas was like “well we’ll keep the prices high.”
Getting (soon) most professional sports that just brings in more people every week. If someone wants to see their favorite team on a road game who wouldn’t pick Vegas as the road game to go to? They’ll have a NBA team by the end of the decade.
The craziest result (I think) is with giving almost every person in most states in America easy access from their phone to gamble 24 hours a day, I would have thought it would make people less interested in going to Vegas. Nope it did the exact opposite, you have all these new people who never legally gambled in their life that got a taste of it in their home state now interested in gambling in Vegas. Legalizing gambling nationwide did not hurt Vegas one bit.
I talked to a waiter who said it was the convention business, which is way up after shutting down from covid. We were once a month a while back, but you are correct, just too expensive now so more like twice a year. I can get on a plane in Long Beach and be in Hawaii for lunch for what it cost to go to Vegas these days
Like all businesses. Clubs went on a price gouging rampage.
Im actually seeing vegas clubs get better now. More and better promotions. Lots of perks for locals.
The convention people are cheap as fuck. They're the types to see how far $1 goes at the stage 😂 😭 🤡
^ The convention attendees are generally working folk who are attending a convention because their work demands it, they aren’t necessarily wanna be ballers or pimps.
Last year when I was in Vegas I found most of the businesses were gouging and I’ve never had a bad time in Vegas, but I’ll say that I was disappointed like never before.
Nothing in Vegas is worth it. And its not just the touristy places.
But clubs are getting better. $2 happy hour drinks are catching on. Spearmint rhino has a burger with fries and a beer for $5. $1 tacos and wings at las cariñosas. Free burrito day at play it again sams. $25 vip dances. Never oay more than the price displayed in the club.
Vegas was over priced before… I think Covid has really messed things up in so many clubs.
Covid allowed the best looking girls to make money online and elsewhere. The quality.of girls is nowhere close to what it used to be overall
According to this site, www.escoffier.edu , employment in "Cafeterias / Grills / Buffets" has dropped 35% since before the pandemic. I guess it's cringe true that a strip club is a chick buffet.
When I drove down the Las Vegas Strip last week coming back from my bad trip to Chicas Benitez I noticed that the Gordon Ramsay Hell Kitchen hamburgers are like about 35 bucks.
I think I'll stick with getting a cheap burger for four bucks at Carl's Jr or 6 bucks at In-N-Out.
Has In-N-Out gone up alot? I don't remember them being so high.
In n out is almost $6 for a double double. Carls jr is insane. Like $10 for a sandwich. Del taco is the cheapest fast food in vegas. Their nachos are probably the best item, and milkshakes
Luv the milkshakes!
