Wedding rings?

Miked92it is what it is
I have a question for the married mongers among us: when you go out, do you take the wedding ring off, or keep it on? Why or why not? Any difference in connecting with the girls?

last commentOn. Can’t risk losing it and the strippers could not care less.

Even if you remove it, the leftover pale ring of hairless skin will expose you as a married liar. Mine hasn't left my finger for 43 years.

More questions arise…why not get to better questions?

I doubt I could get mine off, it’s kinda ingrown now, after 40+ years. Only time I’ve been asked is when out of the country and the answer is “yes, she knows where I am and what I’m doing”. And she usually joins me if we can get our schedules aligned.

I don't wear one and never have. It's in the top drawer of my nightstand for the past 29 years. I don't do jewelry, tats or piercings.

Similar, I hate jewelry. I never wear a real wedding ring. I bought a 10 dollar stainless steel ring to ward off skanks when I am in a dive bar. But the bar has to be really low end to contain any women that would look twice at me.

I do both, but more without. Normally, I don't wear my ring , so there isn't a tell tale ring mark on my finger. Another reason I don't wear it at the club is because my fingers swell when I get fucked up (and I like to get fucked up at the club).
In terms of conversation, there really isn't more or less of it because of the ring....it's just a piece of visual information they have on entry to the "game."

SkiDumb and I have several things in common when it comes to his last post, even left out the antiquated hatred towards our youth! There’s hope for humanity after all.

I lost my ring 20 years ago on a job site.
Asked the wife about replacing it and she said why bother. So I don’t have that problem

^I have lost my ring on a job site one time, and it was a minor miracle that I found it pressed into the gravel. It had obviously been driven over and the platinum band inlaid to the gold was a bit scuffed. I went out and bought a gold-plated stainless steel ring after that, less than 1/10th the value of my actual wedding band, to wear on a day-to-day basis. The one my wife gave me sits in my jewelry box next to my dress watches for social occasions.

Pretty sure I know where it is. Never wear it - except a few hours on our wedding day.
My finger gets claustrophobia.

I kept min on the entire time (37 years) we were married (she passed away 21-Feb-2024 from 24 years of MS), EXCEPT, when I had a quad-bypass 19 months ago. Strippers didn't care, in fact, I think it is an attractor to them.

^ it shows dancers that you've got money, your dick works, and at least one woman can stand you. I'm sure that can't be said for a lot of guys on this site.

I always wear mine. One older dancer got judgey about it out of the hundreds (thousands?) I’ve seen or talked to. Most know the drill. A couple younger dancers didn’t realize I was married right away even while wearing it but they quickly moved on to other topics. I do take it off for otc dates in public. Let people stare because I’m with a younger woman. I don’t need to advertise that it’s anything other than that.

I always wore it when married. I agree that it was a net positive. Women def value men that have been approved by other women. Now I don’t wear it they assume I’m still married and lying so it’s actually a little worse. Not like strippers have any standards and won’t take my money either way.

Ring on. It has very occasionally been mentioned in conversation, but only in passing. Nobody cares

The couple of times I went to a phoenix strip club in the mid-90s (while I was still married) It didn't seem to make any difference. At that time I wasn't pursuing anything more than just the visual.

Keep it on. And until this question came up here, I never even thought about it. Neither do the strippers. Occasionally a stripper will ask me if I’m married. I always say yes, and maybe, just maybe strippers are slightly more willing to blow married guys uncovered, or maybe I’ve just had a run of good luck lately.

I take it off when I lift weights, shower and go to strip clubs. Force of habit mostly.
