OT: Netflix WTF?

Kamala, you're FIRED!
What the fuck is wrong with Netflix and live events? Did they learn nothing from their disastrous coverage of the Tyson-Paul fight?
Trying to watch the Chiefs-Steelers game. In real time, the game is over, but on Netflix, halftime just started. And the hosts aren't even addressing the problem, as if they're not aware of it. Apparently, CBS isn't showing the game in the NYC area so Netflix is the only way I can watch.
Ravens-Texans is scheduled for 4:30 also on Netflix. It's 4:00 now. I wonder if they'll shut off the 2nd half of the Chiefs game so they can start the next one.
I read they payed $150 million for the rights to each game. SMH.

I watched the entire KC/Pitt game and the first three quarters of the Ravens/Texans game until I got tired of the blowout and they were both in real time with no issues.
Because it makes companies money and many people are now probably paying about the same as they were back in the cable days for monthly streaming subscriptions. Or they're paying for monthly subscriptions *and* cable.
That's why the majority of homes in the US have streaming services while well under half of American homes have cable or satellite. Soon cable will go the way of home newspaper subscriptions and landline phones where the only people with them will be curmudgeonly old farts yelling at technology to get off their lawn.
Overall, I'm not a fan of live sports on streaming, but for other content it seems just fine. I also often use the comcast streaming app with a portable projector and screen to watch regular televised games and stuff outside. It's nice this time of year. I'll also use that app to keep an eye on a 2nd game on a tablet too.
And I'm pretty sure with cable or Fios you can DVR stuff, although I've never cared to use that. I do admit I'm a curmudgeonly old fuck.
Yes, DVRs are good if you know ahead of time what you want to record to watch later. What if a friend tells you about a show that they've been watching? You can't go back and watch previous episodes on your DVR because you didn't know to record them.
