The 4 Hour Rule

IWantHerOnMe
I'd live this way again
I don't know if this is only true of my area but I feel like strip clubs change every 4 hours. It's like a different business at different times.

Noon to 3 - Cheapest time, older crowd, music turned lower, everyone is there for dances as opposed to drinks or whatever else, way more extras and mileage, PLs know the non dancing staff and tip the staff, dancers ages 26-40 plus, more regulars.

4 to 7 - Price for cover/parking may go up some, crowd still older, music louder, more guys there to chill and drink as opposed to get dances, still a lot of extras but touch and go mileage, less people know non dancer staff but still tip, dancers range 22-40 plus, still lots of regulars.

7 to 11 - Prices go way up, crowd gets younger and more hip, possibly a walk through of a celeb, music will murder your soul in volume, some people there to just be seen or make it rain, way less extras/dances/mileage, people know there friends and no staff, tip the dancers and maybe not the staff, dancers range from 18-early 30s, not many regulars.

Midnight to 3-4 am - Prices are higher than Pookie, crowd is mostly 21-30, possibly a walk through, music will cause ear bleeding, people there to be seen and making rain on whoever, shockingly little mileage and sometimes even nudity, almost nobody knows most staff just there click, no dancers that can't pass for 25, and almost no regulars.

How do clubs in your area change depending on the shift?

Good clubs are like what you describe OP. Shittier to mid clubs are like:

Noon to 3 - 1-2 dancers wandering around if you're lucky. No one on stage.

4 to 7 - Finally some dancers show up and start working.

7 - 11 - The only time really worth going.

Midnight - AM - Terrible Dancer/PL ratio, and it closes at 1:30 AM

This applies to most clubs but there are exceptions. Club 205 in Portland Oregon gets packed early. It's not uncommon for there to be more people in the club at 2pm than at 10pm. The reason for this is they have killer breakfast, lunch, and happy hour drink prices. Due to this you can expect low milage dances but by far the best looking dayshift in the city with a great show at the rack since they're making $40+ per stage.

My current favorite club is Hong Kong in Tijuana, there it's like:

Noon - 3 - Amazing, and good deals
4-7 - Amazing but with even more chicas
7-11 - You might as well be in heaven at this point really
Midnight - early AM - Still incredible

Swing shift (4-8) can be weird. Some of the day shift girls, especially those with kids, start leaving at 4. If it was a slow day sometimes 2/3 of the day shift dancers bounce early. And sometimes they are still there and hungry to make some money for the day any way possible. You can also sometimes catch night girls who want to do a 4-midnight and want to start their day off right.

One other thing to note is usually around 6pm the manager switches, and the night manager often enforces the rules regarding contact and mileage much more strictly than the day shift manager.

I was gambling in a casino with a rather "frequent" visitor to the blackjack tables.... he told me that you can "feel" the casino shift about 3 or 4 times a day. According to him, from overnight to morning is the biggest difference.

Yes, yes... only the "bad people" are at the casino at 5:30AM on a sunday morning... guilty as charged!

The cards play better... the winning goes up.

He wasn't sure if it was psychological... or the decks shifted after running through the overnight decks... I don't know... something sounded like it might be true...

I just know that my winnings did noticiably change... I won more hands for more money at certain times...

Any thoughts on if this is true.. and why it might be?

@grrlgonebad I don’t know enough about casinos. Could it be a weaker dealer? A quieter room also might make it easier to focus.

@JamesSD The swing shift at Vivide and Tattletales in ATL are rough and awkward for me. Such a mix of dancers with different expectations.

I can tell you that the casinos on most cruise ships usually loosen the slot machines on the last evening of a cruise, and some loosen the slots on the first night of a cruise.

This is good, but as others have mentioned, it doesn't account for the swing shift. IME this is usually a 2-3 hour stretch beginning anywhere from 5 to 7 (depending on club, city, etc.). The clubs often get slow as the dayshift girls leave and the nightshift girls slowly trickle in.

Many clubs try to mitigate this slow period with happy hour promotions for the guys and discounts on house fees for the girls. This works well in some clubs and not so much in others.

My main club is the outlier of clubs in that the day shift has the same number of dancers as the evening, the same number of customers and the dancers are simply 5x hotter during the day than at night. I was sitting there on a Tuesday at 4:30 and was stunned that by my standards, there were at least 10 dancers who'd I'd target as #1 anywhere else. I will say that while the mahority of customers are older white guys, there are a lot of older black and hispanic men as well. All the same imo because 90% of the clientele is simply older white/blue collar workers with time to waste and money to spend.

@rickdugan I’m normally out the club by 5 pm at the latest. I think nightshift chick that trickle in on swing shift can tell guys with dayshift temperament. You can almost tell like they see me touching on a dancer and even if I pay well they’re like I’m not doing that.

Plus there’s still less regulars on swing shift. Early shift is slow but it’s all spenders. I agree that it’s the deadest time.

4 to 7 is the "happy hour" crowd. They'll nurse a beer at the bar and are more interested in monopolizing the bar maid with their bullshit than being with the dancers. They never buy a dance. Older white/blue collar workers.

Mid to AM is the younger under 25 crowd. They arrive in groups of five to ten and were probably bar hopping earlier. They look lost and don't seem to know why they are there. It's the place to be, I guess.

I'm out of the club by the time the "happy hour" crowd shows up.

Yeah clubs change depending on the shift.
    In my experience lately.

Day shift is pretty much gone. The places that have it its the most beat girls and broke tricks

Start of night shift. Very few girls. Mostly blue collar guys and guys getting paid in cash getting off work. Happy hour prices.

Early night. before midnight. Its slow. Crowd thins.

Late night. More of an after hours vibe. Or completely dead.

To keep girls working lots of clubs require girls to work a few day shifts so they can work nights. Require them being there for their full night shift or fining them.

Lots of promotions are scams now. Like great happy hour prices but needing to buy hookah to sit down. No happy hour pricing on dancer drinks.

As far as dancers go. Day shift is for beat hardened hoes.

Night shift starts out okay. Everyones high af by like 1 am. A smart girl can make more money selling drugs in a club than anything else.

The 4-hour rule is how long 25iq strains on the toilet before he gives up and craps his pants later.

First hour and a half or so you can get dancer attention
Then gets busy until rush hour over
Then quiet for a couple hours
    Then post-dinner busy
    Then party busy
