Judging Reviews That Say The Club Sucks

IWantHerOnMe
I'd live this way again
I’m far less harsh on them, because what else is there to say. Now, if I see the club is we’ll reviewed and someone bashes it, unless I’m familiar with the club I’ll leave it alone. If it’s poorly reviewed it’s rare I’ll reject it.

The standards are way higher if you say you like it. To get good intel you need to say why you like it. There’s not much to say if all the dancers are fat drinks are bad and the club is dangerous

What about clubs that are burned down or otherwise inoperable?

^ There's a link you can click on each club profile to report it as closed, and/or you can message founder directly.

You can also post a discussion under the club profile to report it being closed.

well there are many clubs out there that are both popular that i consider to suck real badly in the nyc area. ricks, the flashdancers chain,, etc. those clubs are flooded with tons of positive reviews. the reality is lots of guys like suck shit clubs. but if i read a harsh review on any of those clubs it's wow it's refreshing.

even if it the review is of a club that i go to that has good itc mileage, chances are what made it a sucky club for that reviewer is the girl that he chose. but i still value that review as that informs me to stay way from that girl.

It’s easy to lose perspective when you’re in the club, but really guys it only takes one great gal to change the game, from a lousy boring visit to a great evening.

@25 - I say that a lot. I seem to have "it just takes one" luck at some otherwise low end places. If it's well written and informative, I don't care if they praise it to the heavens.

@25 I agree but I want that said in the review. I have a nice time on occasion at clubs like Goldrush Showbar or even Seductions here and there but I always note the club itself is slow.

A review is a retelling of a personal experience.

@Icey No it isn't. It should be a combo of personal experience, hard facts and an attempt to recognize how it would be for anyone. If I took the Tuscl board as a crew to a club and there's only one hot dancer I might have fun but that would show the club sucks.

Iwantheronme. Everyone is going to have a different experience and interacts differently with people. There can be a pattern of similar experiences if there are enough reviews though

IMHO, reviews are about YOUR experience. Interior description and PLs is important. I'm not into the fancy "Las Vegas" style clubs nor biker bars or rap shacks.

While the old Erotic Cafe in NJ was a true dive bar, the girls were great.

Scarlett's in East St Louis has a really nice interior yet the prices are insane.

Leather & Lace in South Dakota is like WOW a serious dive in the middle of what looks like a Ghost Town but the PLs are fine, the bartender/owner seems nice and the girls too. Then, I read about Scarlett's in Sioux Falls and could care less.

When I read a review, I look for personal experience, if it draws me in and raises my curiosity to go. Kandy's in PA is one of those places I'd like to hit on my drive trip in November to Philly.

Icey your comment has almost nothing to do with the OP, also its so simplistic and broad that its really not worth a mention, its like that thread where someone asked about buying a high end car or watch or something and you commented “save up and buy what you can afford”. Stuff like that is not even worth posting really

I generally agree with the OP, but I sometimes see a purely negative review that's long on invective and short on facts. If I knew the club, and the review seems unreasonable, I reject it for the same reason I would reject a shill review: the reviewer has an agenda that isn't about informing me.

When I evaluate a review, I want to have a sense of whether or not it makes me want to go to the club or stay away, all backed up by objective information, usually from personal experience from the reviewer, good or bad. If the reviewer just says the club sucks with no backup, I usually reject it, but if the claim is backed up, I usually accept it. Same with positive reviews. If someone just says the club is great with no backup, I usually reject it.

Poor reviews are easy to spot and reject; good reviews are easy to spot and accept. It is the ones in between that require some thought. I often read reviews and can’t come to a conclusion as to whether or not to accept, so I don’t adjudicate one way or another. I don’t want to add to the clutter on the site.

^ I do the same with accept/reject/pass and it seems to be cyclical regarding the mix of the three. There were a few months earlier this year when it was like 30/40/30, but seems to have improved a bit lately. I willing accept both positive and negative reviews so long as there doesn't seem to be a hidden agenda.

While “it only takes one girl” is a truism of the SC experience, a glowing review which consists entirely of a Penthouse Letter style report of the experience with said girl is worthless
