The “actual danger” to ordinary foreigners (Americans, Chinese, Ukrainians etc) in Tijuana Zona Norte is statistically insignificant.
The rival cartel members shoot each other and the police, like the warring Mafias in America--and all those groups that have some power because they carry arms, are morally indistinguishable.
So the average citizen or tourist has little to worry about; as long as they are not looking for trouble, and mind their own business.
I heard Chicago club was open again. evidently no fire damage to speak of to the Chicago club itself. the fire was primarily to the roof of the hotel jalos above Chicago bar.

Currently, @HongKongGC is closed, but may be opening soon.
However, our sister bars are fully open. @LasChavelasBar is directly next door, and @TropicalBarEng is directly across the street.

UPDATE: Saw HK's Instagram page late last night, and it said it had reopened. No word yet on the status of Chicago Club.
