I've traveled a similar road. I remember living in WDC when you could pick up a hooker on the street about as easily as a cup of coffee, and SCs where the dancers (not the LDs, the actual dancers on stage) would shove their twats in your face and then take you "upstairs" to the on premises brothel. Ah, those were the days. My feelings are somewhat mixed. For ASPs, you get a longer session, more involved, greater privacy, etc. That makes it more likely to get a wider range of FS, DATY, BBBJ, greek, etc. On the other hand, really good ASPs require decent advance booking, sometimes days or even weeks in advance for the really popular ones, plus lots of advance planning to rendevous at the location, etc., etc. It's a little hard to explain to my wife why I suddenly need to disappear for several hours. At SCs, the range of service is generally less (I've gotten FS, DATY and BJ, but never greek), but it requires almost no advance planning, just a little luck. I can hit a joint on the way home, and if the right girl is there, get it on and be on my way with no one the wiser. I think the cost is pretty comparable if you are talking similar service -- i.e., a session in the back room is much the same as a session with an ASP. I also agree with you that the right SC can afford a nice atmosphere to socialize. Last but not least, SCs provide the possibility of OTC relations, which I think are pretty hard to develop with ASPs, unless you are prepared to spend thousands of dollars. On the other hand, just watching naked girls writhe or having someone rub against me is no substitute for actual FS, so you have to be at the right SC with the right girl.

Clubs -- strip clubs where you can get something "extra" -- are, by far, much much more appealing to me, than a typical (usually internet-arranged) escort encounter.

Strip clubs offer the following advantages:

1. spur of the moment decision-making (could be a disadvantage)
2. bartender, staff, parking lot attendants who "look after" you
3. the thrill of the chase -- you start at a low level of intimacy and build upwards, rather than just diving right in
4. the opportunity to sample the merchandise before committing to buying it
5. comparison shopping under the same roof
6. opportunity (if wanted) for more than one encounter in the same location in serial on the same evening
7. opportunity (if wanted) for more than one encounter in the same location in parallel on the same evening
8. reliability, sexiness, and now, even price, are getting to where they match an escort
9. no need to plan far in advance. Want to monger now? Go monger now! Horniness therefore is a factor in choice. (Could be a disadvantage, obviously. But a really weird one -- what's that, you DON'T want to monger because you're afraid you'll use your lust to make decisions for you? What the hell ELSE do you make decisions with, while mongering, other than lust?)

Disadvantages tend to include:

1. price. Escorts are usually cheaper, all things considered.
2. planning. You can't guarantee that so-and-so will be available for you when you want, at a club, but you can with an internet appointment.
3. reliability. Girls on the internet are reviewed and discussed more than girls in a strip club, so you can feel more assured. (I haven't found this to be a problem with dancers. They tend to give exactly what they claim they'll give, in ITC and OTC extras encounters. But you might worry about it anyway.)
4. amenities. You can clean up with a paper towel or a handi-wipe in the back of a musty private room, or take a shower in a nice hotel bathroom. People might watch you, in the strip club back room; etc. Escorts allow you a full array of bedroom and bathroom facilities, with full opportunity to disrobe, while strippers only allow the rapid and direct stimulation of parts of an unclothed body, most of which remains clothed most of the time.

All in all, I'm going to have to say that escorts don't give what I most likely want any better than strippers, and strippers give a lot more of a lot of other things that I want. Escorts are better at escorting; but that's not why I would call a call girl in the first place. Strippers (well, at least, the ones on the program) are generally better at all the other things that I seek.

Oh, and strippers (the ones that I get to go extra with me, at least!) are guaranteed to have a dancer's body; while escorts are more likely to be a bit older, more jaded, with a kind of "professional" body of a porn star. I prefer the former.

Book Guy: To what you say about the advantages of strip clubs, I'd add (or rephrase) a couple that I consider crucial:

• The risk of failure. There's always the chance that you can't connect with the stripper you crave or that the stripper who's with you will leave for some other guy. This gives the club experience an edge of excitement and versimilitude to singles bar type reality.
• Serendipity. Strip clubs are set up to provide surprises and happy accidents. Without that, life is dull dull dull.

Think of it this as a possible strategy - sort of a balancing act, taking advantage of each segment.

Primarily Brazilians in the strip clubs, preferably ATF deals, and for escorts: perhaps asians with maybe multi-hour monthly or bi-monthly sessions with super quality providers that one can develop a true GFE arrangement with (I think Yoda does this) or alternatively (what I am more familiar with) find exceedingly beautiful AMP girls for quick hits. The AMP girl I was with mere hours ago I (just) noticed a TER reviewer (commenting earlier this month) stated "this woman could have been a Korean super-model, or movie star" In fact after experiencing her in person, the reviewer is very close to the mark, so one must always be looking at AMPs too.

In this discussion of the relative merits of sc's v. escorts, I have to bring up the issue of LE involvement. LE is much less of a factor with sc's because, ostensibly, the activities said to be found at a SC are legal. Escort services are, by their nature, illegal (NO ONE, including people you find on juries, believes that men pay beautiful women half the mens' ages just to hang out with them, or that "any compensation is for time only, and not for sexual acts." Sorry.). I have never heard of a patron being arrested for extras in a strip club (I have sometimes heard of the dancer being arrested). The worst that I think will, realistically, happen to a patron who gets caught with his unit under a dancer's thong is that he will be kicked out of the club, and quite possibly banned for a period of time, maybe indefinitely. On the other hand, I have often heard of men getting arrested, charged, convicted and sentenced for acts having to do with procuring the services of a prostitute (escort). Even escorts who operate out of hotels tend to get busted when they set up for a long period of time ( a week or longer) in the same hotel, and LE gets a chance to draw a bead on them.

Granted, the frequency of action is less predictable at a strip club. But I have never heard of a man having to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life due to activities that happened at a strip club...but that can very well happen as a result of a solicitation conviction.

I think my "perfect" monger location would be one of those Rio de Janeiro "termas" as I've read about on the internet. They are roughly set up like half of a public (men only) sauna, and half a strip club. You go in and relinquish nearly all your stuff, including clothes, to a locker (you keep the key) and then you traipse about in a white terrycloth robe and shower slippers. They take your credit card number for "security." Once beyond the check-in, you are at a strip club, where the girls come out and greet and meet you. Some places, they have a regular rotation at a stripping pole, with music to dance to. Others, the stripping act gets basically ignored. You interact with the girlies, get a little tipsy, and choose to take one or two back to a "cabana" for long-time or short-time service. It's full-service in there. Depending on the US-dollar-to-Brasilian-Reai exchange rate, you can get out at about $100 a pop. I'm sure the drinks are more expensive than down the street at Joao's Futebol and Carioca Paradise, but really, it sounds ideal to me. And there are showers for you to use before you dress back up and go on your way.

The thing I most like about a "terma" and the strip club, for extras, is this business about MEETING the woman first. I would say that about 33% of my internet-escort encounters have included trying to interact with a woman with whom I just didn't "click." Either she was nervous and skitting because of the potential of a police sting (I am perhaps too clean-cut looking?), or she was just not very well-spoken or highly educated and my own cultural background meant we couldn't "mesh" well, or something else led to a failure of communication, where she and I were talking at cross-purposes. That kind of bullshit just does not arise in a strip club. If you don't click with the girl, then you simply don't engage her services for money. You move on. You certainly don't have to try to get extras from her. That, for me, is by far the biggest advantage.

A close second, is the opportunity to see and feel her nakedness before engaging further money. I guess the internet almost provides an parallel for the garden variety escort, but she can always hide a few flaws with a carefully photo-shopped picture, whereas in the strip club she has to have whatever I want her to have when viewed from ALL angles. And touched. Lots of girls have large breasts, for instance, that look great in a push-up bra, but when I see that they dangle to their knees, or that they are spheroids invented by Dow chemical and bolted on by a team at the Jekyll and Kervorkian clinic, I don't want to touch the uncovered manifestation of them no matter how nice they look when covered up.

All of my experiences with escorts/prostitutes were over 30 years ago. Before I got married. And before strip clubs became a reality. I had some great times in Japan, Mexico (especially Acapulco), Germany and Denmark. I had some bad expierences also. In Mexican border towns and with street walkers in the U.S. My last expierence with a hooker happened in Atlanta about 8 years ago. I was leaving a strip club to go back to my motel. The cabby asked me if I was interested in some female company. I said sure. He asked black or white. I said either is ok as long as she is young and good looking. We drove about a half mile down the street and into a parking lot of a closed business. There were at least 50 street walkers there. All black and they swamped the car. All begging for a date. I picked out a young good looking girl and she jumped in the taxi but so did a fat old bitch. While I was trying to explain to the unwanted bitch that I did not want her, a police car pulled into the parking lot. Both hookers got out of the car and split. So did we. He drove me back to my hotel and told me that he would be back with something that I would like. He never came back. I have not had any expierences with hookers since then.

Over the last 30+ years, I have watched the strip club industry grow. It started with GO GO dancers. Next came topless and then bottomless. Then about 15 years ago I got my first lap dance in Memphis. Then came ITC extras. Then came a period of about 3 years that I was trying to get FS OTC but all I got was stripper shit. My experiences mirror those of jaywalker and njscfan. I will still see an escort occasionally, but I'm definitely enjoying the strip club scene again. With dance fees, tips, drinks etc - I would guess the girl would be lucky to clear $100 to $120 - and give up 1/2 her entire shift. With that kind of deal, escorts or even AMPs wouldn't have a chance, however not sure how common that kind of deal is. The key weakness of escorts and AMPs vs strippers is the lack of socializing and comaradie and strip club vibe. The strip club vibe cannot be duplicated however some of the other factors may be able to be. I've been to Japanese, Chinese, and Korean AMPs but Koreans tend to be the best, I think FS in such establishments (some not all) is part of their culture in some way. I thought it might be a good strategy to learn some key Korean phrases, focus on one particular girl each time, spending (lets say) if you can afford it min $1000 a month and maybe a bit more (with less on strippers) so eventually you could skip the time wasting sauna and table shower, and ratchet up the GFE things which they tend to be very weak on anyways, and maybe eventually they might show you a possible secret room where (instead of tables) the real beds could be - like some AMPs in New York City appear to have.

Escort services/AMPs, and SC services for that matter, appear to be legal in Canada and at least RI...if not in other places. There are some sound reasons to favor escorts. I actually think LE is more of a concern for me in a SC. Re LE risk with escorts: when I read about men getting busted, they are picking up streetwalkers or Craig's List girls. It seems low risk if you find an escort with reviews on multiple boards over the last two years or more; from reviewers who have posted reviews of multiple girls over a couple of years. That plus pix of the escort on her website help to verify that she isn't too fugly; and I can't imagine a cop posting pictures of her p**** on the web. If the girl didn't match the photos, I'd be very hesitant; think I'd just say, uh, I must be in the wrong place.
