NY Post Now Denouncing Trump

wld4tatas
New Jersey
The NY Post just published a scathing editorial on Trump. Of course, it's based on new information that has come to light from the January 6th hearings, which most Americans are following to some extent.

For those who don't know, the NY Post is a print and digital tabloid owned by Rupert Murdoch, the same owner as Fox News. It ranks in the US Top 10 by circulation. It is unquestionably conservative. And it's well known for constant slander and attacks on the left.

They wrote:
"It’s up to the Justice Department to decide if this is a crime. But as a matter of principle, as a matter of character, Trump has proven himself unworthy to be this country’s chief executive again."

This is pretty huge.

Trump’s silence on Jan. 6 is damning

They are all in on DeSantis. I think he'd be crazy not to run, he the one guy that could beat Trump. Trump is a funny dude and love how he triggers libs but I think we need somebody a little more professional in there.

As far as the Post is concerned, they can have some left leanings, gun control and abortion. Either way best paper around, especially for us New York City area folks. Best sports section, they are one paper to call out these ASSHOLE NYC politicians on a daily basis and for that they deserve some credit. They also bring in some great writers like Douglas Murray, Victor Davis Hanson, Heather Macdonald, they hired Jon Heyman recently all these people. And at the end of the day it's last free paper in America. I read everyday. While the NYdailynews has faggots writers like the old Shaun King race baiting and taking it up the ass, I ain't reading that shit. And don't even get me started on the NYtimes. LMAO. It's not even a question what normal people read around here. And btw how many times is it linked too on this site alone?

NY Post is owned by Fox/NewsCorp - although Fox leans right; they don't necessarily lean Trump - rumor has it there is some bad-blood b/w Trump and Fox - there's plenty of never-Trumpers on the right - no-doubt DeSantis is getting more and more popular each day and Trump has seemingly made a lot of enemies. As long as there are fair-elections (none of this mass-mail-in shit and unsupervised drop-boxes that are susceptible to ballot-stuffing; etc) then let the chips fall where they may – hopefully it’ll be a *Republican* (and it not be a rhino) since the current Dem party has pretty-much fucked-everything-up and they have double and tripled down on going down the same path.

No matter who the Republicans nominate in 2024, the media will declare him/her to be a crazy bigot lacking the temperament to be President. McCain. Romney. Trump. The media loved all of them when they were democrats or RINOS. Once they were nominated, the media launched attacks. They are already attacking Desantis, just in case.

Trump is a disaster for America, that's clear.

According to a recent poll sponsored by NPR/PBS, fewer than one in five Republicans say Trump deserves a great or good deal of blame for what happened on Jan 6, compared with nine out of 10 Democrats and 57% of independents.

^ You like to assign labels to people, do that same poll and leave out the labels, then give us a number how many people say Trump deserves a good deal of the blame, of course the new Republican Maga group will deny and obfuscate, but overall how many are they, my guess is fewer than 25% actually don't agree that Trump is complicit.
Bet that poll would not be among our talking points.

The hearings are legitimate? Yeah, Congress has nothing better to do. Since 2016 all the Democratic House has done is gone after Trump while this country slides down the shithole. They should all be fucking shot.

As a conservative, I was never of big fan of Trump the person. But during his 4 years in office the best the liberals could come up with was to attack his hair, weight and appearance.

Now my liberal Facebook “friends” are doing the same with Bannon

Y’all need to step your game - the Republicans never called RBG hideous although she was perhaps the ugliest woman ever to exist on the planet

The biggest issues on American minds are inflation, the economy, and energy cost. Meanwhile, Democrats focus on a group of Trump supporters entering the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

In related news, President Joe Biden in June achieved the highest disapproval rating in the history of modern polling. This month, his popularity declined even further. About 60 percent of Americans disapprove of the president, acc

DeSantis is already showing his lack of character by using the disrespectful name "Brandon" to refer to the President. Conservatives with class and integrity like Romney and many others wouldn't do that. If he becomes the Republican nominee, I'd like to see him say that to Biden's face in a debate.

There are a lot of videos on YouTube, with millions of views, of Black people discussing the teachings of Thomas Sowell ( black conservative author and professor from Stanford ). I think the days when Dems could take Black voters for granted are over. Same with Hispanic voters, who are traditionally conservative in their culture. Dems can no longer win elections by pointing at Republicans and screaming “racist”.

2022 should be an interesting election.

You fellas keep going but Joe Biden, I'm not defending Jo Biden nor do I intend to, Donald Trump lost the election fair and square, it's over, the facts are in, he did try to overturn the election by every legal means possible and he lost over 60 different court cases, he also tried several extralegal ways to overthrow the legitimate results of the 2020 election and those were exposed and discredited, for that he deserves condemnation, and he should never be allowed to stand for election again that's clear. When all is said and done and the history is written of this chapter of American politics, I have no doubt that this will be nothing more than a footnote, and distraction.

This all goes back to President Clinton who embraced Wall Street billionaires and Hollywood celebrities, while ignoring the working man. That’s when the Democrats became the party of the elite. Republicans, the stupid party, didn’t realize this put working class voter, from all races,up for grabs. It took Trump to finally reach out to them. Now, a lot of the younger Republicans realize this is the new base for the party.

As polarizing as a guy like Trump has been, I think there's one thing all of us can agree on, and it's that nearly every establishment politician is corrupt, rotten, and not to be trusted. So they can conduct all the investigations and recounts they want, doesn't matter Democrats or Republicans leading them, and I'll take the result NOT with a "grain" of salt but with a "pound" of it.

What I do trust is simple common sense and my own intuition. And my intuition says that while Obama was also polarizing, he was WILDLY POPULAR among enormous swaths of voting groups, so it was no surprise that he set a new all-time vote record in 2008. On the other hand Joe Biden, even before the election, wasn't popular among anyone, and yet counted almost 12,000,000 more votes than Obama's previous record. And there are only two conceivable ways he could have done that:

1) More people hated Trump than the number who previously supported Obama, since every vote for Biden was not a vote FOR Biden at all, but simply a vote against Trump
OR
2) They cheated

I can't see #1 as even remotely believable when you look at Trump's popularity despite his polarizing effect, as demonstrated by the massive attendance at his rallies AND the fact that Trump ALSO exceeded Obama's previous vote-getting record. And while many accuse Trump of trying to "overturn" the election result, I never heard an accusation that Republicans tried to pad the vote count in favor of Trump.

In other words, I just can't imagine that 12,000,000 more people came out to vote "against Trump" than ever voted "for Obama", especially when it meant voting for a stupid oaf like Biden simply because they didn't like Trump's boorish personality.

Sorry, but no one will ever convince me that vote tallies compiled by a bunch of corrupt partisan scumbags are more reliable than common sense and what we can deduce with logical reasoning.

Meanwhile the Biden family is corrupt AF (including Jill with her fake Phd which was basically handed to her bc she was Joe's wife and she wanted to be called Doctor) and all that corruption is centered around "the big guy" and not only will the media not touch it with a 10-foot-pole but they actively try to protect Biden.

Just because you want it to be true doesn't make it true. 50+ court cases all determining there was no evidence of widespread voter fraud. If really believe there was a case to be made then be mad at the incompetants who brought the cases.

IMO there is one person that got substandard Joe Biden elected and that was DJT. DJT just has no ability to control himself from his own worst impulses. Regardless of his early successes his later term poor leadership created enough disgusted voters that a ham sandwich could have beat him.

Well however it happened, we are all stuck with the result. And we will be in an even worse pickle very soon when this fuckin jerkoff either drops dead or has to leave office because his mental health gets SO bad that they can't possibly keep covering it up. It's nearly at that point now.

I have absolutely zero doubt that Kamala will enjoy at least one full year in the top job. Even if old Joe manages to hold himself together and his mind doesn't get any worse, they will push him out just for no other reason than to make history with the "first woman" in the office. And if you think it's embarrassing with Biden pretending to be President, just wait until that cackling fucking hyena takes over.

"IMO there is one person that got substandard Joe Biden elected and that was DJT."

It wasn't one person - it was "a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information." according to Time magazine.

It's fundraising when it's your big $ supporters and a cabal of evil oligarchs when it's the other guy.

Seriously it's not like the Republicans (The party of business) are lacking big money support.

Conservatives need to pick the right guy and simply win. DeSantis can get votes in the middle Trump lost. Pick winners and leave yesterday's old garbage at the door.

Dems focused on the person of Donald Trump and getting their emotional release. Sure, make a martyr out of him, force him to go whole hog for DeSantis, and watch him waste Biden in 2024. All according to plan.

Dems not thinking strategically.

DeSantis has turned a purple state solidly red. It's because the guy exudes competence and common sense. I think he will play well on the national stage.

The trick is beating Trump in the primaries without alienating his base. You know what I mean, those stupid shits who still cling to the "stolen election" nonsense even though not one shred of truly solid evidence has been produced to support the narrative. DeSantis will also need to do it in a way that doesn't alienate Independents. It's a tricky obstacle course to navigate, but IMO if anyone can do it he can.

If I were Trump, I’d form an alliance with DeSantis. Trump would be more like a Chairman of the Board for 4 years, keeping DeSantis on track and getting in plenty of golf, while DeSantis did all the day to day heavy lifting as VP.

The problem is that if Desantis were to somehow beat Trump in the Republican primary, Trump would never concede that he lost, never endorse Desantis and since he would view Desantis running against him as an act of disloyalty and betrayal would basically act as a political suicide bomber to Desantis' campaign in the general election out of spite. And ensure a Democratic win in the process.

@JimmyMcNulty

That's an odd story. First of all, the guy is the CFO of some company so he's probably not a complete idiot. And why would anyone, honest guy or a fucking liar, have any concern at all that he didn't receive a ballot for his wife who's been dead for 3 years.

The article says, "Rosemarie Hartle, of Las Vegas, died in 2017 at age 52 from breast cancer, Kirk Hartle, told the I-Team last November. A ballot for Rosemarie was issued in October 2020 and later received by the county, but Kirk said the ballot never came to his house. The I-Team found even though Rosemarie died in 2017, her name appeared on the active voter list."

So let's try to follow the apparent lie that he told and whether it's something a guy who's not an idiot would try to pull off.

He claims it never came to his house, so then how would he even know that a vote was cast in his wife's name? And after those ballots are separated from the envelopes, there's no way to know who voted for whom.

So... First of all, there is an on-line tracking system which ONLY shows that a vote was cast, not who it was cast for, so he would have to use the tracking system to look for whether or not a vote was cast by his wife who died 3 years ago. Why would anyone do that or even think that a ballot would have been generated for a 3-years dead person? Anyway, no matter how odd it might seem, he reported it, and then they were able to show that it was a vote for a Democrat? How? As soon as it's received the ballot is removed from the envelope and there's no way to match them back up. None of this shit makes any sense.

I'd really like to see an article with all the fine details of how this fraud went down and what this guy's story was.

I love how the leftists on this site and in this thread are so hung up on Trump. They are so cognizant of the fact and so afraid of acknowledging the truth that the January 6 bullshit and impeachment were all fake and made up. They also all know that voting for Brandon was a massive mistake, but are too weak and afraid to acknowledge that as well.

Most Conservatives and Republicans were reluctant to vote for Trump. After eight years of choices like McCain and Romney, how could we not be? Trump won because they were more democrat voters who were reluctant to vote for Hillary. Everyone, especially democrat voters, were surprised at how well Trump governed. The country was stronger than it had been in a long time, and prosperity was more widespread than it had been in generations. Of course, this was a problem for the democrat party and they leftist leaders. So they manufactured strife, sowed hatred, and fueled class warfare and social indoctrination for four years. They were unconcerned with his badly it hurt society, the American psyche, or individuals, their goal of taking back the White House justified the means. And here we are: America is sicker, weaker, and poorer than it had been in decades. Of course, the leftists cannot rest on the laurels of their victory - they are to petty and small-minded for that. They have to punish those who resisted. They have to show that free will and individual expression which runs counter to their dogma will result in the destruction of you, your family, and your legacy.

For that, I am glad that Trump is refusing to go quietly. I would like to see someone else step forward to challenge the establishment and be the disruptor. Washington is still sick; the swamp is still the democrat party excrement it was before. DeSantis is the obvious choice, but I really, really, really want to him to govern Florida for every minute he is lawful allowed to.

@orange

I only pulled one story. Google his name. Hartle cast the vote in his wife’s name for Biden so that he (Hartle) could claim voter fraud. He gave interviews saying his wife’s ballot was stolen as ‘proof’ the election was compromised. He had the support of the Nevada GOP while he was being believed. They caught him, he confessed and pled guilty. It was a simple story and I just posted it because it’s funny.

Yeah, I looked up a couple other stories and mostly they said the same thing. I'm just saying that based on what I've learned about the mail-in voting system (and I spent over an hour talking to two voting officials in my district) that the story just doesn't add up. If the guy lied, he must be the worst liar in history. And the apparent fact that a bunch of politicians (who notoriously are the BEST liars) supported a story that makes no sense sounds fishy to me.

Is this guy a lying scumbag? Sure, he probably is since he pleaded guilty. But there's more to this story that we'll never see. These days it's not only possible, but commonplace, for one media outlet to write up a story that's 10% true facts, 50% half-truths that are twisted to fit a narrative, and 40% complete made-up garbage, and then it's mimicked by a dozen other "reporters" who regurgitate the same crap. The bottom line is that usually no one questions whether or not it's true or if it's even a believable lie. They just accept it as gospel.

I mean stories about computer controlled voting booths where the servers are in different countries, or video of poll workers, after hours, pulling large crates full of paper from under a table and feeding them into counting machines... Those could be total bullshit, or they might be part true and part embellished, or they could be entirely true, but whatever it is they are at least believable enough to make you wonder about it.

That this guy concocted a crazy story that can't possibly be true, just to show evidence of one single vote being cast fraudulently, doesn't seem to make sense.
Hank Moody

Or, sometimes a story is so simple it’s true. Occam’s Razor and all. Everyone is saying this is what happened, including the guy who was convicted. Let me know if you find evidence otherwise. I didn’t mean for it to be a Sherlock Holmes whodunnit. Just thought it was funny that the moron got caught.

For decades, a recession has been defined as 2 quarters in a row of negative growth. We’ve already had one quarter. Later this week, the 2nd quarter GDP numbers come out. They will almost certainly show we are in a recession.

The Biden administration has just come out and said the definition of a recession isn’t as simple as that. It’s more nuanced. So, even if GDP declines this week, we really aren’t in a recession.

It will be interesting to see how the media treats this. Will there be headlines about recession, or obedient silence ?
