What's up with all the "Cuban" strippers?

ilbbaicnl
Keep it in my pants when I do OTC. If I were a stripper it would stand for I like big bucks and I can not lie.

Over the years, most of the Cubans who came to the US were well educated and often had good business skills. Not the most common demographics of the families that strippers come from. Is there some reason Latina but non-Cuban dancers want to pass themselves off as Cuban? One "Cuban" sounded to me like she was either from Spain or a very wound-up Argentinian. The only non-dubious Cuban I've come across was also part Venezuelan. She had been a Pharm Tech. Guessing she ended up dancing due to sales at premium prices to those lacking a prescription.

Since the 80s most have been criminals or economic refugees. They're not that bad. They're very flirty and have a Virgin whore complex. Make her laugh be masculine and sincere and she'll melt

Years back most Cubans that emigrated to the US were wealthy people that could afford the journey, and most were the children of those wealthy families that came here for college and stayed, then the revaluation happened and Castro came to power and basically seized the wealth making instruments that had been owned by families, that caused an exodus of the more educated upper classes, then in the early 1980s Castro emptied his jails in retaliation for what he claimed were US provocations, and a large group of criminals left and ended up in the US, if you want more background, look up the Mariel Boatlift in April 1980 you'll get a better explanation.

I haven't seen any Cuban strippers here in Indiana so I'm a little surprised they have migrated to Illinois but not the state next door. I generally like Hispanic strippers. I'm physically attracted to them and they also seem friendly and don't have that "I'm doing you a favor giving you a lap dance" attitude I get sometimes from other strippers. Two of my favorite regulars right now are a Puerto Rican girl and a Mexican girl. I've done lap dances with girls from Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. That sounds like a lot but that's over hundreds of strip club visits. Most Indiana clubs may have only one Hispanic girl on their roster.

I was the regular for a while of an escort who said she was Dominican. But she did the Ls for Rs thing, as far as I know, that's only a Puerto Rican thing.

@ilbbaicnl I will play along and comment on your discussion. The first Cubans to emigrate after the Fidel Castro, Camilo Cienfuegos and Che Guevara 1959 Cuban revolution that ended the Spanish colonial and American imperialism periods in Cuba, were those Whites who were the descendants of Spaniards and Americans associated to the old Dictator Batista regime. Batista's repressive government was a puppet of the USA and profited from the exploitation of Cuba's commercial interests, by negotiating lucrative relationships both with the American Mafia, who controlled the drug, gambling, and prostitution businesses in Havana, and with large U.S.-based multinational companies who were awarded lucrative contracts. The emigration of Cubans, from the 1959 Cuban Revolution to October of 1962, has been dubbed the Golden exile and the first emigration wave in the greater Cuban exile. The exodus was referred to as the "Golden exile" because of the mainly White upper and middle class character of the emigrants. Remember Desi Arnaz (Ricky Ricardo) from I love Lucy fame? The impact of US sanctions (American Embargo) after the Cuban Revolution has continuously inflicted serious harm on the Cuban economy But the embargo has never been effective at achieving its principal purpose: forcing Cuba's revolutionary regime out of power or bending it to Washington's will. Because of the “American Embargo” on Cuba in recent and not to recent times Poor Young Beautiful Cuban women of all races of Cuba White, Black and mixed are lured to the USA because the false advertising and globalized propaganda that makes them believe the USA is the land of economic opportunity. Remember Voltaire — 'Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.' In recent times due to the changes in immigration policies and as a means to flee poverty in Cuba, beautiful naive young women agree to work in the USA as exotic dancers to pay off a $20,000 smuggling fees, and instead of simply stripping often times they are forced into prostitution to try to pay the money. It is ironic that in a country that promotes “equality” people like those beautiful naive Cuban girls are being treated as disposable sex objects. Many immigrants like the Cubs Girls produce billions of dollars in revenue every year by being exploited and abused in America. It is the “American Way” of profiting by victimizing millions of vulnerable people from countries around the world.

Are FL (actual) Cuban strippers generally the daughters or granddaughters of Marielitos?

My understanding is that Cubans didn’t immigrate much pre-Fidel/pre-1959 – post the “glorious revolution” in 1959 is when there was a massive exodus of mostly the upper-class (I assume b/c they had the most to lose) – I once heard Cuba lost half its doctors to exile soon after the revolution – the Bacardi Rum company is one example of the upper-class that had to flee Cuba and set up shop in exile. w.r.t. Cuban strippers; it used to be they were mostly just in the Miami clubs and even then it wasn’t the massive influx of newly arrived Cubanas stripping in Miami clubs – it wasn’t common to find lots of Cubans in clubs outside of Miami-Dade county in the neighboring SoFlo counties – even in the Miami clubs it used to be one could find American girls and non-Cuban Latinas and Cubans that had been raised in the U.S. and spoke English perfectly. In my mind something had to trigger this massive influx of newly-arrived Cuban-dancers that spread not only outside Miami to other parts of SoFlo but has spread to many parts of the country – as I’ve posted in the past, when I lived and SCed in Dallas in the 2000s, I don’t recall ever having ran into a Cuban-dancer – it wasn’t till circa 2015 or so when I started reading reviews of Cubanas in clubs in other states which I found odd at first – and with time Cubanas started being mentioned in more and more clubs and in different states. There’s always been a lot of immigration from Cuba – in my mind something had to have triggered this massive Cuban stripper invasion – it used to be if Cubans were found in international waters they’d be brought to the U.S. and given asylum – that law changed sometime in the 90s I believe to where if you were found at sea you’d be returned but if you stepped foot on U.S. soil you were allowed to stay – I think after this 90s wet-foot/dry-foot law, a lot of Cubans started making the trek to the U.S. over land instead of by sea – they would enter at a particular Central American country that would allow them in, then they would journey thru various Central American countries, then into Mexico, then to the U.S. border where they would be granted asylum if they crossed the border into U.S. soil (this was changed in January 2017 when Obama left office to where they are now not automatically granted asylum if they touch U.S. soil) – anyway the only connection I can make w.r.t. the Cuban stripper influx is that they have coyote debts from having made the trek over land to get to the U.S. – and somehow the word got out to the Cubanas they could make fast $$$ stripping and thus pay off those debts? Or maybe the word just got out they could make fast $$$ stripping when they got here w/ nothing whether they had coyote debts or not, IDK?

"... Are FL (actual) Cuban strippers generally the daughters or granddaughters of Marielitos ..." No - Mariel was in 1980 - most Cuban strippers these days are recent-arrivals whose parents may still be in Cuba - the daughters/granddaughters of the Marielitos would likely speak English - if you meet a Cuban dancer that barely speaks English it's likely she's a recent arrival and that she grew-up in Cuba; and most Cuban-dancers these days fit that profile.

^ Not necessarily, the daughters of Marielitos, any young Cuban-American or American women living in impoverished neighborhoods may have the necessity to work as strippers...

"... Never been to Ybor Strip. Wen in Tampa I enjoyed the the MV too much. I’ve heard it’s the best place for extras in Tampa. Is it all Cubans? ..." I never been to Scarlett's Ybor - from reading reviews it seems to be a mix of Cubans, some AA, and maybe some white - seems there is a similar mix in other popular Pasco county clubs where there are Cubanas but not exclusively.

Interesting. I was under the impression that, with European and Canadian tourism, sex workers can do pretty well in Cuba.

I wonder if Latina dancers without a visa feel like Trump-leaning PLs are less likely to call La Migra on them if they say they're Cuban.

@ilbbaicnl It is all about what people are tricked to believe, like religion, Capitalism, Santa 🎅, the tooth 🦷 fairy, the gold rush, the red scare of communism, the law and the constitution etc etc In some instances prostitution is seen as a possible route to a better life through marriage and emigration. There are a few movies that touch on this subject, all based on the Cinderella story. Cuba deteriorating economy, thanks to the USA embargo and the fall of The Soviet Union, forced Cuba to introduce elements of “market capitalism” into the Cuban economy, and prostitution re-appeared mainly catering to “wealthy” tourist. Some sex workers in Cuba, like any place in the world, can do relatively well, but “The grass is always greener on the other side”, and the tales of rags to riches abound. The massive amount of propaganda from the USA to attract cheap labor is well documented in our history.

I feel like there is a small # of Cubans all over the map, but in places with not too many of them maybe they speak perfect or good English and aren't total dirty hookers like in some known cities. I think a lot of minorities just wanna assimilate or act/be treated the same. I see more of american girls who look typical American and speak no other language trying to pass as something they aren't. Idk necessarily all the motivations of people to lie about nationality, but there are many. I've been told it would be to my advantage to lie and say I am Bulgarian but forgot that language. Won't say specifically why, but the reasoning made sense 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've never seen Cubans pretend to be something else. But keep jn mind there are Cuban minorities in Puerto Rico the Dominican Republic Mexico etc. I've met Cubans raised in other countries. And they don't come to the US to be hookers. They get drawn to it like any other girl here. A drug problem. A pimp. Desperation. As far as people pretending to be what they're not. I've seen middle eastern and black people do it the most.

Many of them learn the trade long before they leave Cuba. There is still a lot of sex tourism from Europe, Russia and South America. There is no restrictions on travel from those places. I first visited from Canada about 20 years ago and there were dozens of extremely good looking young girls outside every club waiting to be asked to join some rich(ish) tourist for dancing and a night of debauchery. Many were as young as 14 and it was well known throughout the world that Cuba was a place for sex tourism. More recently the Cuban police have been driving the sex trade underground to some extent. That may well be the motivation some of the girls have to flee Cuba to places where persecution is less, money is easier and, if they already speak English, the transition is quite simple. Not too long ago I met my first Cuban found in a German FKK so they are not just migrating to the USA.

Cuban strippers fill a void. Most Mexican and Mexican-American dancers I ever see in clubs are at best "thick". Half of them are easily obese. Cuban dancers usually are slimmer and also taller it seems. But you are right. Mexican-American strippers weren't like that twenty years ago. But now they are almost always fat, if not down right obese.

Hookers aren't fleeing persecution to work illegally in the US. Pros will emigrate bto countries in Europe where its legal if they want to. Girls of every ethnicity become hookeers in the US for the same reason. Except those who are the victims of human trafficking. Although yes there are some trafficked Cubans as well.

“… Interesting. I was under the impression that, with European and Canadian tourism, sex workers can do pretty well in Cuba. …” Cuba is a 3rd-world country economically – no one really does well – the economy is so messed-up that the quality of life is poor – getting essentials can be hard even if you're lucky-enough to have some $$$/dollars, and getting luxuries even harder – it’s not as if you can go to a BMW dealership and get/lease a new Beemer even if you had the $$$; a Cuban stripper can do that here in the U.S., but not Cuba - most young people are very disillusioned living in Cuba and see no future living there. The connection b/w Cuban women and sex-work started during what the government called “El Periodo Especial” (The Special Period) – typical of the Cuban leftist government, they try to twist words and reality and refer to a totally fucked up period as a “special period” vs what it was, a totally fucked up period. “The Special Period” started in the early-90s after the fall of the Soviet Union and thus Cuba lost a huge chunk of subsidies they used to get from the former USSR and at that time Gorbachev was not a fan of Fidel Castro – thus Cuba went thru its worst episode since their 1959 revolution and that is when the “balseros” (raft people) occurred with 1000s of people hitting the waters in anything that would halfway float in hopes of making it to the U.S. or being picked up in international waters and taken to Guantanamo Bay and subsequently brought to the U.S. During “The Special Period” is when Cuba opened up to international tourism out of desperation – prior to this there wasn’t much tourism as Fidel wanted to keep the “pristineness of the revolution” and didn’t want “his people” and his revolution “corrupted” by outsiders let alone capitalists - but by the early-90s he had no-choice and that is when major tourism started in Cuba (post revolution) and that is when the sex-trade kinda exploded and the government had no choice but to look the other way b/c of how bad things were economically. Cuban women, like most Latin women, are actually more conservative than American or European women – they turning to the sex-trade is mostly out of necessity, and sometimes desperation like the early-90s – for most Cubanas it seems mostly necessity or something they use as a stepping-stone – IME I don’t see that many Cubanas that are lifers (w.r.t. stripping) or in the game a long time; nor do you see that many born-here/raised-here Cubanas, stripping – i.e. most of the Cubanas I talk to have not been stripping for years and only been in the U.S. a few years and seem to only strip for a few years to more quickly get on their feet upon arriving – many I talk to have plans to move onto something else (study; open a business, save for a house, etc) and many seem to actually move on to better things – being conservative by nature I don’t think many of them see themselves stripping once they decide to marry and have a family; by nature most of them take motherhood very seriously.

Hmmm this was pretty interesting to read. I haven't ran into any Cuban dancers, but there is a British girl who works from time to time at the club I am working currently ( Though I am not sure for how much longer I will be there.) We have had a few other girls come in that were from other places as well but they clearly had been living in the states for sometime now though.
