Oh, come on. Those renos aren't going to pay for themselves and they lost a lot of business over the last year and a half after they committed to those renos. I can't see it lasting long because that buck in change almost always goes to the mesero as a tip, so brace yourself -- if their tips go down, it wouldn't surprise me at all if fichas go up to $11. :-)

I've raised my prices twice this year so far, hoping to push the third increase to next year. Our suppliers have done the same, and have promised more price hikes are incoming. Shipping containers cost like 12.5k just for freight right now, and are expected to increase with no relief in sight until well into 2022

I kinda look at a ficha drink as the equivalent to about 3 high mileage lap dances. When I went over Labor Day, Hotel prices had gone up (but I had my reservation at the old price luckily), but fichas were still $9. Once they started finishing those penthouses, they started to raise the prices. I was able to negotiate a smoking hott BG from $130 down to $100, and I figured she prob would not try hard upstairs but was I ever wrong!! Lucky me! I got a BG from Adelita's too for $80.

I don’t think a $1 will deter anyone here from enjoying HK or any bar. This was just an FYI. When mesero gave my change back, i though he was trying to keep an extra $1, basically rob...a few, especially smaller clubs will do this and try to get away with as much as possible. I call it out if it happens and no tip for you for being an ass. I don’t want to be considered a mark. So i keep meseros on a tight leash.

@PutaTester I thought so too. But there are machines that take dollars still. At SY go north a little. Not the machines as soon as you walk out of CBP building. There is a second bank of machines past the little kiosk store, same side thought, basically across from McD, they take bills and coins. Also the machine on the west side, beach side of America plaza takes bills.

Shipping costs have gone up for a number of reasons.

1. There aren’t enough containers to hold all the crap coming from China and other counties. The price for containers go up same as when seats on a plane start to fill up. Same issue with ships and planes, space is limited so price goes up.

2. Not enough containers, and they can’t even make new ones fast enough, there is also supposedly an issue with finding materials to build the containers.

3. Ports are backed up, taking longer for containers to pass through customs making the travel/ship time longer, again raising prices.

4. Several ports have had COVID outbreaks where workers had to quarantine slowing customs even more.

5. Lastly, once those containers hit stateside now they need to be loaded on trains and trucks and railed or driven to their final destination. Good luck on finding a truck driver. I’ve had guys on their way bringing me a load, drop my load and go grab another load and deliver it while mine is sitting in some random truck parking lot for a week before the driver comes back and gets mine. I can’t bitch too much, I’m at their mercy, at the moment and everyone else is too. It’s starting to get a tad better but still a long way to go.

Strangest part is things went much smoother last year when everyone was sitting at home. Shipping ran smooth, at least for me.

I think the biggest problem with the dollar hike is the change. Before you handed the waiter a ten and your done. Now, you will need to remember to have a bunch of ones to hand him eleven. You hand the waiter a 20, half the time you will not get any change back.

A lot of the stuff people are posting about recent visits to places like Dulce Gabbana and Bar Tropical, to me at least, they sound pretty bleak.

Guys are not having good experiences, and they are being asked for amounts of money which seem unprecedented.

Part of it, as I read it, is that the guys are not demonstrating generosity up front, and they are not treating the women as they would any other woman, they are treating them like vending machines.

And they are not looking for one they will see regularly, and this is always the problem with sex tourism.

And of course it never gets to front room makeout session.

The girls now get 50 pesos ($2.50) with the $1 increase. RE: time and wild - entirely up to her and you. This very trip, i had the ‘ass job girl’ (see review) that was only 1 ficha and went to work convincing me how good she would be. then the other extreme, barely a tit grab, all basically in the same day. On my previous trip, chica only had 2 fichas and i bought her a fruit plate ($10) cuz she was working me for a good 45 min before we went up. Tipping helps but not necessary.

Gotta wonder why the women don't just work as paradas if the clubs take more than half the money.

@illbaicnl the paradas charge anywhere from $20-$40 per appointment. ALL bar girls are charging $100, with the rare $80. Like 623 said, portion of ficha is the only thing the bar get its paws on from the BGs. Ficha = $10, girl gets 2.50, with a ticket for redemption. Club gets $7.50 for a 8 oz (?) lady drink that probably cost $0.60. So they take most $ of off that + all the PL drinks. From $4 waters to bottles of don julio ‘42. Chaching! $$$$

It is the reason why if a BG stays overtime in an arriba, they will come looking for her; they want her back in the bar selling drinks.
