Anyone under 21 is not allowed in the club where alcohol is served. So, does that mean dancers who are under 21 cannot work? Wow. So does that mean Paris at Oasis is getting fired?

Since Oasis is located within the City of Atlanta and the ordinance prohibits any person younger than 21 from BOTH entering or working at businesses where alcohol is consumed (with the exception of restaurants where alcohol is served, or supermarkets, or convenient stores) - and since the Mayor's office has announced the ordinance will not be vetoed, then if Paris is under age 21, her employment will be terminated when the law goes into effect next week. The answer is yes

I don't think the drinking age should have ever increased past the age of 18. If you can go fight a war and die for your country at 18, you should have a right to drink a beer as well. I don't believe parents should be prosecuted when they give alcohol to those who are 18 and over either. However enough people went along with the new laws and now you're effectively considered not a full grown adult until you're 21 now. But it's ok to do almost everything else. We're putting adults in jail now for giving beer to those who had been adults several years ago and arresting others who aren't 21 yet. But they can go die for us. I say it sucks and people should try to change it.

Oasis isn't in the city of Atlanta. It is in Doraville, outside the Perimeter. So this ordinance won't apply there.

Brad is right. It affects clubs like goosebump and others like the ones on Cheshire Bridge. Doraville is not affected. If it was, then Oasis would too. Both are outside the perimeter. Not everything inside the perimeter is affected either. Pink Pony won't be affected. It is basically fulton co. However, would this law or ordinance spread?

I thought I heard somewhere that the drinking age had something to do with states qualifying for federal funding. Anyhow, I know the Cheetah has a full-service restaurant in it as well as the Pony. Does that make them exempt as well?

Apparently this site, and others, lists the club as both being located within Doraville and Atlanta - apparently to make it easier for patrons doing an Alanta Strip club Google search to get a hit for Oasis - however it is no doubt in Duraville, and I agree the ordinance is not applicable
