Statistics on rejected reviews??

Any way to get some statistics on REJECTED reviews? I would estimate that reject 25-30% of the unpublished reviews that I review, mostly because of inadequate details. Presumably, if a review is rejected, it simply "disappears." It got me wondering about the % of unpublished reviews that were rejected and the most common reason for rejection.

Would be interesting to know - perhaps Founder can add it at some point (I like seeing stats) - not a must-have but IMO would be interesting

My guess that the top three reasons would be: -- Not enough details. -- Too explicit. -- Incoherent.

Here in Indianapolis there are several clubs that haven't been reviewed at all since 2019. One club finally got reviewed after a long period of no reviews. Two of the adjudicators gave it a thumbs down and said there were "not enough details". I thought the review had useful information. In situations where there are few reviews coming in I think you need to apply different and slightly lower standards for what is an acceptable review and I think some of the adjudicators don't take that into account. I understand that no one wants to waste time reading bad reviews but sometimes I'm wasting time looking for the new local reviews and then finding there aren't any, possibly because they were rejected.

If I see a borderline review I check to see how many recent reviews there are for the club before I reject it. But I'm more likely to reject a review because they're bitching about the review process than for being mediocre.

Like wallanon, I'm more lenient if it's an infrequently reviewed club. But if I review is linking a dancer by name to extras, then I reject it regardless of anything else. I know that's unpopular with some here, but that's the standard I choose to apply.

In general, i agree with Ishmael about NOT linking dancer names to explicit details about extras. But there is some room for judgment, especially if the extras are not described in any detail (e.g., "had a satisfying private dance with xxxx) and if the club is well known for extras.

it would be helpful if a rejected review could be emailed or messaged back to the writer with the reasons that it was rejected.

I thought the feedback did get sent to the reviewer if the submission didn't make it through.

That was my impression too. For most of them that I reject, I just tell them to read the review guidelines because it is obvious that they never have.

I have suspicions that some may block bad review for $ reasons.

^^^ Okay, I'll bite. Where are those suspicions coming from?

Most common seems to be not enough club details. Lots of people submit 5-line wonders. Then too explicit. I automatically reject anything that has a name and reference to extras. Or when people get into pornographic details, because it's tawdry and creepy and could bring heat on the club. Really, why do you act like you're some stud because you nailed a stripper?

For me, if I see a review that's 5 lines or less, it's rejected without even reading it. Longer reviews, I'll reject if there are a lot of spelling errors. Its ok if there are a few. We all make mistakes but too many get to the point of being unreadable.

I use my phone for all of my Internet ever since my laptop got stolen. siri can be a real pain with posting. I will type or dictate and it will first come up the way exactly i say and then Siri sometimes fucks things up just as i post. even now it’s fucking up what I have said and typed. just like proofread and proofread. and then post. Later to find out that siri fucked things up still.

===> "I have suspicions that some may block bad review for $ reasons." I'm pretty cynical about some of the shenanigans that go on here which are clearly motivated by commercial interests, but even I wouldn't go that far. I've posted more than a few derogatory reviews of favored clubs over time and never had a single one rejected. What is much more common is to suddenly find troll responses in the review comments, which some morons believe detracts from the reviewer's credibility, or a handful of shill reviews popping up in a matter of days to bury the bad review.
