I think the movie is as much a tragedy about Cameron's plight as it is about Ferris's day off.
Mia was a babe back then. I liked her in Legend best - a spoiled princess that basically fucked shit up just because she wanted to pet a unicorn. GPS has no bounds.

I remember they tried to make a sitcom of Ferris Bueller using some c-list actor who made a body swap movie with George Burns. I don't think it made it past one season.
I never found Ferris that relatable to begin with, but it's a good guide of what to do in Chicago when you go to visit.
It is being shown on NETFLIX presently. I enjoyed seeing Jennifer Grey again because she looks like the girl next door that baby sat for my kids.
