This has to be 30 years ago plus. There was a small dive club in the city, that was a neighborhood bar setup, gated parking and what always seemed like armed security to get you in the club from the lot and to make sure your car was still there when you left. Mixed customer base and mix of dancers. Trying to remember the name... something "trap" seem to ring a bell but that could have been a different place.

Sounds like Bev's, but there was an 8 Mile clube called Boobie Trap.

Thanks Jacksslash.....it definitely was not on eight mile. Once I heard Booby Trap I remembered that place, this joint was near downtown, maybe even as close as where MGM sits today.
There was a place called "the Grind" near MGM, but it burned down a number of years age (supposedly a stove was left on).
Do any of you veterans know/remember a bar on 8 Mile, I think called the Zoo? Had mud wrestling? It was my first strip club experience when I was 17.
