I am thinking of taking a road trip next weekend and I am wondering what is the current state of affairs in AZ. I have a pretty good bead on what to expect in TJ if I go there instead, but if you have any inside info on that I would be interested in that also.
I want to pick one or the other by Wednesday.

Except the nude ones that sell only non-alcohol. Those clubs are notorious for being clip joints. Just keep on driving, unless you’re desperate to see naked ladies giving air dances.
@623 - to the best of my knowledge, only Blue Moon, Centerfolds and Le Girls are open. I have heard that Blue Moon has reduced hours (evenings only) and jacked up prices to take advantage of the situation.
The border to Mexico is officially losed to tourist and is only open for essential travel, the level of enforcement and requirements tmfor entry will vary.
It is possible to cross the border into Mexico but you may have to verify your reason and length of stay.
HK and the other bars are not open but the hotels still are and there are still sSGs and now HGs (hotel girls) working the lobbies where the prices seem to be the same as preCovid.
The medical office gas been closed since April, thus nobody has a current medical card.
The major changes in TJ will be the number of girls working is a fraction of normal (10-15%), so the quality and variety is lacking. And another major change is the process, which means there is no warm up and get to know the girl time, which for most TJ Mongers is pretty important.
The ficha was the opportunity to find out if there was some chemistry and her time to tease and/or persuade you to take her arriba.

The border has been “officially closed” for months . That’s just a deterrence. You can cross but the waiting times can be long as hell because bags in CBP want To limit entry to essential travelers. Well, that’s gonna be me. I got a dentist appointment

@623 - Doug Ducey - governor of Arizona - has been giving corona virus updates every two weeks. These update newsconferences have been his venue for announcing changes in policy.
The next update is due Thursday 8/13.
Since bars (and gyms, movie theaters, and water parks) were ordered closed at the end of June, our daily new virus counts and percentage positive are near their lowest point since the lockdown ended in mid May.
Before the restrictions were put in place, we had one of the worst outbreaks in the country.
Now that things are getting better, will Ducey end the restrictions? I've long ago given up guessing what he is likely to do. The only thing that can be done is wait until Thursday at 3:00 pm and see what happens.
Well, a lot depends on what you want to do on your trip, but all the bars in Arizona are closed right now. The only clubs that are open are the ones that don't sell alcohol.
