Miami Strip Clubs Opening Friday?

I don't have a link for this, but local journo Andy Slater said that clubs in the 305 will start to reopen Friday. According to Slater Booby Trap locations will be first. Dancers have to wear masks and gloves for performances within six feet of customers (so I guess laps are allowed) and "high-touch" areas will have extra hand sanitizer. Booby Trap's site doesn't say anything about reopening. However, Slater said earlier in the day that Hard Rock would also reopen Friday...which the Hard Rock website does say. We might be a step closer to TUSCL going back to doing what it does best.

*Yes, I know HR isn't a strip club...he mentioned the two in separate tweets (the HR tweet was yesterday, the club tweet was late this afternoon).

I would not be surprised if clubs open all of a sudden no matter what that day is (some of those club owners have a lot of $$$ and I would not be totally surprised if they were having negotiations behind the scenes with the powers to be, I'm not saying they are but would not be surprised) - but it's odd that if the date is known there is no mention of it on social media. Could be that Slater was speculating that if HR opened it meant SCs would open; which is a reasonable thought. Seems almost everything is opening up so hard to imagine they'll keep clubs from making $$$ for too much longer, but for now I haven't heard anything on the news nor from the clubs themselves.

Here in West Palm Beach Monroe's and Rachel's are open for the last week and on Tuesday past Spearmint Rhino opened, I can't tell you what they are like now because I've not gone in, but I have received a few texts so yes it's true.

Let's see how the action is once they open - are they gonna open as glorified breastaurants or will they be similar to biz-as-usual

I went by Rhino this Tuesday & it was closed. Cop car out front, but that was it. Didn't hit Rachels or Monroe's, just went on home. I too have heard BT on the River is going to open, from a few girls at the BT Pompano. Not sure what to make of it, I know a lot of the restaurants w/ Bars in WPB aren't following any guidelines or restrictions, despite what may be in place.

Didn't see this thread until just now. I opened a new one before I saw this one. Foxy Lady Lounge is open right now. Friday afternoon. Scarlett's is opening Monday.

Went to Foxy yesterday and it was business as usual. You had to have the obligatory mask in case they asked but that was it. Dances were great as usual.

Don’t go to Booby Trap Doral! Total scam. My friend and I went last night and they wouldn’t let us in unless we got a table and agreed to spend $1,000 minimum. We thought they were joking at first. So we left as they tried to con us and went to Gold Rush. Gold Rush was amazing as E11even is still closed so a lot of girls from E11even worked there last night. Fun time. No BS to deal with. Have to wear mask to get in and they do a temp check. Once in you don’t have to wear a mask at the bar or table but do if you walk to the bathroom. Full contact dances available.

Hopefully this doesn't affect clubbing, but there's a decent chance it will: Miami mayor Francis Suarez said the city will not enter Phase 3 of re-opening due to the recent spike in cases. [view link] Some clubs have opened, but I can see them being forced to close again - especially since city and county officials across South Florida have largely been acting in collaboration on re-opening. If you want to get a dance, you may want to do so quickly.

Up to now the city of Miami has been a bit more stringent than the rest of the county (faster to implement lock-downs, and slower to take off measures) - i.e. city of Miami may affect certain clubs but there are many clubs not within the city limits - the county mayor has been more hesitant than the city mayor w.r.t. lockdowns although in the end they often end-up on the same-page - and then there are the Broward County clubs (Pompano) where Broward has typically been a bit ahead of Miami-Dade w.r.t. openings. Yeah - I guess the spike in cases is def not a good sign for clubs that were taking steps to opening in recent-days; but a bit on the bright-side, the # of deaths seems to be low as well as hospitalizations, and if this remains so it may be enough to give the local-clubs the go-ahead along with most of the local-economy.

I had an afternoon appointment that took me right past Booby Trap Doral/Miami (the club is next to the highway and it, and its parking-lot, can fairly easily be seen from the highway especially heading northbound) - there was a decent # of cars in the parking lot kinda typical of BT Doral dayshift (BT Doral is more of a nighthshift club but dayshift is doable with late-week dayshift typically having a better vibe but still not close to a typical nightshift) - as we all know, seeing a certain # of cars in a club parking lot can often be misleading but the # of cars I saw seemed about right for a midweek dayshift, if perhaps a little lighter but not by much.

My info on Scarlett's opening up on Monday was obviously wrong. There are several clubs that are opening up. But a lot of them seem to be black clubs? Am I wrong about that? Though Tootsies is opening up tomorrow (Wednesday).

Scarlett's is in Broward County (near the Miami-Dade/Broward line) - I have not heard much w.r.t. Broward (Hallandale Beach, Pompano) clubs opening - most rumors seem to be w.r.t. Miami-Dade clubs - but no SoFlo reports yet.

I went to booby trap Doral on Tuesday. You don’t need to get a table unless all are purchased and you want somewhere to sit. There were 15 girls and the dances were as per usual pre-Covid. VHM. I just heard body club was opening today from a Dancer.

^ Thanks: I was thinking to ask Papi if he heard anything about BC earlier today. Might consider a trip tomorrow if a couple things break my way. To actually reply to what Papi said, during that drive-by Cheetah and Solid Gold had cars in their lots (they weren't open, but they might be working on it). BT had nothing, like DD. Also happened to drive by Goldfinger and Vegas this AM. Too early to tell if either was opening, but I think Goldfinger changed their marquis so they may be close. Vegas didn't look like they were close to anything.

I was thinking of driving-by Body Club mostly out of curiosity but it's not that close to my house nor do my normal travels take me near that area - and I kinda have to drive thru some hoods to get there which I'm trying to avoid based on the current protests climate. I'm also thinking that many dancers may be happy collecting unemployment-benefits and putting the club on the back-burner till conditions change; thus making it less attractive for menl to risk Corona by hitting a subpar club-scene.

I heard from the same stripper that gave me bad info about Scarlett's opening up on Monday, June 15 that Scarlett's was opening up on Friday, June 26. I'll believe it when I see (hear about) it. I asked her if she was sure since her last bit of info was bad, and she said she was told by "an inside person" that the problem was that they didn't get approved to open, but now they have. I don't believe her info is reliable until proven otherwise. Any of you So Flo guys hear anything about the clubs north of Miami opening up?

Other than Tootsies that is. We know Toots is open.

One would think clubs opening in most of SoFlo is overdue given most other businesses have been allowed to open - but given the recent spikes I'm not so sure now - I have not heard anything definitive and anyone that says it's supposed to be "X date" is probably just repeating mere hearsay - once I see credible reviews of someone that has physically been in the club (not even a drive-by), it'll just a wait-and-see situation (could be that the owners/operators don't even know themselves and it may be dependent on how conditions on the ground are trending w.r.t. Covid). Most SCs are not that great about updating their social media - the better clubs usually do answer the phone though so that could be one way to try to get some possible info (and if one can't get thru on the ph at an upscale club then that is likely a sign they are closed)

I was told Body Club is open, from a girl who dances at Porthole & Body Club. She said not much in terms of restrictions, mask at the entry & temp check, but it can come off inside. Dances/Rooms as usual. Not sure if she was just angling for OTC, but she made it sound like she wasn't comfortable working at BC and wanted to be there as little as possible to get enough to get by.

Just saw on the local news (Channel 10) that Club Climaxxx got shut down yesterday due to violation of social distancing mandates. It was the only SC on the list.

I jut read that the Italian company medical diagnostic company, DiaSoren, has developed a walk through doorway that can test for covid-19. Seems perfect for strip clubs. One for customers entering, one for dancers coming out of the dressing room and out of the lap dance area. Pricey at $5 K a shot, but as demand grows and bulk purchasing evolve, the per unit price will be much lower. The main drawback now is temperature. Fever is a common accompaniment of the virus. Since Italian women are so HOT, they can't be used anywhere else!

Bit of bad news: Andy Slater (whose tweet started this thread) says lap dances will be banned - I assume temporarily, but 'banned' is the word he used - in Dade clubs effective at 12:01 AM. Dancers will have to be 10 feet away from customers at all times. No word on whether Broward or Palm Beach will enact similar measures, but it's entirely possible.

@IHearVoices Lap dances Banned? Why exactly are we supposed to do at the Atrip Clubs? Just stare at the Dancers?

Sorry: they have to perform 10 feet away from customers (there's a lot of "same difference" here, but still).

@Evasparkling: I have no clue, but I do know I'm not going to be the guinea pig to find out. I guess stage shows are still allowed, but I could just as easily see a lot of clubs - particularly smaller ones - deciding it's not worth it to be open.

Stands to reason - opening bars and strip-clubs which are geared towards *socializing*, the opposite of social-distancing, while the virus was not in check, was gonna have predictable results (indoors, close contact, close-contact for an extended period of time)

They're apparently banned now. County Mayor Carlos Gimenez said he didn't know they were allowed and put the brakes on that when he found out. Dale Holness (Broward) will probably do the same thing, although it doesn't seem like too many Broward clubs are open anyway.

South FL is relocking-down Some of the latest Miami-Dade county ordinances: + county-wide 10pm - 6am curfew (for a county of close to 3-million - ouch) + all entertainment venues must close including casinos (I would assume SCs as well)

When totalitarian China cannot even keep the virus under control, you know its bad. The only country with stricter controls is North Korea, but they're so dishonest we will never know what is actually happening in the DPRK. Is sore throat a symptom? Mine's been kinda scratchy the past two days.
