"But one stripper called Sequenta admitted that many of her colleagues fail to save any of their vast earnings, and eventually have to get out of the business and get a more regular job to secure their futures.
She explained that they end up spending whatever they make, because 'you get used to a certain kind of lifestyle and there's no going back'."
Accurate. I've seen it happen. I've been there before myself (got a side job bartending at a bikini bar for a few months, then door girl at a club in Inkster, MI).
What a bunch of hog was. I have lived in the Atlanta area for 30+ years and never had the urge to go there. It gets a lot of press just because some famous rappers and rapper wanna be's occasionally hang out there dropping big sums of money.
There are no lap dances or VIP rooms. It is just twerking asses on stage.
I know a Follies waitress/dancer that got a degree in mechanical engineering while working as a dancer at Follies. She got a job with Georgia Power after graduation but couldn't live on the starting salary. So she went back to stripping and tried working at Magic City. Now she is back working at Follies.
Just read the reviews and you know this story is "Stripper Shit".
I just call bullshit and the writer is getting a con job Anyone that wants to can save some cash 💰 they a) don’t make that kind of scratch B) are full of shit
Agree, mostly BS in this article. I love the Atlana strips club scene but won't do Magic City. Not interested in a club that is just for twerking and making it rain. The clear disconnect on the money too is saying that girls can make $8k per night but then say that they can make up to $100k/year.
Clearly some rapper dude dropped a ton of money on one night and now girls walk around saying or thinking that this figure is within reach regularly.
Side story....I was at Blaze in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. Played pool with a young dude that had a huge diamond necklace on. I complimented him on it. It was gaudy as hell but worked for him. He said thanks. And then he said, do you know I'm famous? He told me who he was but I had never heard of him but he had full entourage etc. Some of the girls later told me that he occasionally drops $5k on an outing, mostly just throwing it around the club at dancers.
This article is straight bullshit as they have embellished the earning potential of strippers at that particular club. Magic City has been in decline for years as more and more individuals have recognized that the place is all flash without the substance. Parking and door fees are exorbitant plus the girls are downright indolent nowadays
I visit the A frequently for work and to visit friends who live in the ATL and we avoid this club like the plague. It's basically for tourists who dont know any better.
