Was Gen R E Lee a "Gentleman", would he have gone to a strip club if there were any in the Confederacy? theatlantic.com

Only in America is the losing side honored with statues and this kind of crap he was a traitor to his country in any other country in the world he’d have been hanged next to Jefferson Davis and the other ringleaders of the treasonous confederacy

100% wrong Twenty Five. We are a collection of states, with States having all rights not otherwise enumerated in the Constitution. The Constituion is completely silent on the issue of whetrher or not states can leave the union and as such leaving is a right retained by the State. You need to look uop the definiton of traitor after you learn about the Constituion. Yes, he'd have been hanged in Iran, Russia, China and Saudi Arabia, given their know ledghe of state's rights. Robert E. Lee is one of the five finest military minds in the history of humanity.

^ You should read your copy of the constitution, where does it say secession and what is the proscribed method of of punishment for taking up arms against the United States.

R. E. Lee was known and loved as a clean living man of integrity and clean living.

And as far as this country, what ever it may once have been, now it is a united and unbreakable nation.

Interesting article. I did not know that Lee was such a disgusting douche.

Not read the article, but Lee seems not to have been like that.

Did support slavery, but not secession.
