I'm not into street-racing much but I think I saw this guy being interviewed on ABC Nightline a while back - I think he's kinda internet-famous for owning a whole bunch of supercars which he races against other people with fast cars.
I wonder how he's able to afford all those very-expensive cars.
As one that has "drag raced" in the pass at a championship somewhat lower level, I can attest that a drag race is 1/4 of a mile, other than the fuel cars which is 1000 ft. These sorts of "tests" are often dumb in what they say. Our car is the fastest! 0-60 in 9.9 seconds. That is QUICK not fast. All these things are is publicity and name recognition.
My brother worked in advertising and once had to pick up a Ford GT which had raced at LeMans hitting 213 mph on the backstretch. He then had to drive it from Boston to Albany for a photo shoot. He got stopped a number of times by State Troopers who wanted to know what it was. It must be tough driving a supper car on a regular basis. But I’d like to try.
