27-year-old virgin arrested for threatening to kill 'as many girls as I see' Police arrested a Colorado man over the weekend who allegedly threatened to kill "as many girls as I see" in a mass shooting. Christopher Cleary, 27, allegedly told police that he planned targeting women in a public shooting because he's a virgin who has been rejected too many times, according to the Provo Police Department. This is just sad, the guy is very good looking. Can somebody buy him a lapdance in TJHK.

    2 decades of war, the militarization of the police.... basically making violence an acceptable way of dealing with perceived conflict and the destruction of the nuclear family are more to blame than not being able to get laid. It was much harder to get laid in the 1900s through 1950s and these problems didn't exist. If someone can't get laid, they need to have the common sense to work on themselves and make themselves more attractive to women. If they refuse to do that, well they don't deserve to get laid.

    I think it's just luck, as there're dickheads that have girlfriends, and can do whatever they like too. But the lack of access of good looking friendly girls can be very depressing for some PLs and can drive them insane for years. Sure there're stripclubs but they're just expensive tease and won't last, and streetwalkers are dangerous and even ugly. In short, places like TJ HK solve this unfortunate problem and make guys and gals happy.

A lot of men and women nowadays (mostly men) learn about sex, not by engaging in it, but by watching videos of others on an LCD screen. Essentially, both men and women have become more aware, and conscious, of their position on the social ladder, as well as the position of others on that ladder... and these extreme behaviors are the manifestation of our animal instincts reacting to such awareness. What else would cause a young man to snap, and go on a shooting rampage, than the very real illusion of forever being at the bottom rungs of the social ladder, with no money and no status to ever catch the attention of an even mildly attractive woman? Sounds rather bleak, doesn't it? The problem, I think, is that this illusion is more than a mere illusion... it's a self-fulfilling thing. The illusion creates the anxiety which produces the behaviors that further enhance the illusion. I'm sure these incel shootings don't reflect very positively on young men, low on the social ladder. How are women supposed to respond? By rushing to every poor young man and sucking their dicks? No, they're probably more inclined to run the hell away! And what does that do but enchance the illusion for young men that they will remain single and sexless. My guess is, as you said, just like income inequality, there may be greater inequality in sexual activity (partially caused by the income inequality). The likes of JohnSmith and gawker can fuck hot 22 yr olds because of their wealth. Was it always so easy? I would guess not, because wealth was not as unequal as it is today.

When you talk about these self identified incels, like Elliot Rodger and this new guy, first consider that these are people in fairly negative places, closed social realms. These places may seem to have lots of sex, like Isla Vista CA, but it is often greatly exaggerated and typically for some people only. Second, with Rodger and this new guy Christopher Cleary, there are usually some things which have destroyed their social and civil standing.     @DC, yes I agree that money doesn't provide a direct route vers la chatte, except when used to pay for prostitutes. I think that great wealth does, however, provide an indirect route, but perhaps not the way people often imagine. I don't think it happens so often that: woman meets man, woman learns that man is wealthy, woman sleeps with man because he's wealthy. Or even: woman meets man, man buys woman many gifts, woman sleeps with man (hell, I'd bet that hardly ever happens!) Rather, I think great wealth provides so many perks in life that getting laid is just plain easier; it requires less effort. I mean, life itself is less of an effort for those who have already acquired wealth. The process of acquiring the wealth, for sure, usually requires great effort (excepting those trust fund babies). But once you've got it, I imagine it must be hard to resist the temptation of spoiling yourself! One thing I've noticed about myself is that I do better with women when my responsibilities are less. In particular, it was far easier to develop social connections and attract women during summer vacations and during those early times in college semesters when there was hardly any homework to do and no tests to study for. I had no worries! I was fed and sheltered through no effort of my own, except for some part-time low wage jobs. How much different life feels now that I have a full-blown career that requires my constant attention, as well as bills to pay, food to prepare, errands to run, etc. (and I'm probably quite lazy compared to others in my field who are married with kids). So, I imagine that there is a minority of young and middle-aged men who 1) are millionaires, 2) work few hours, 3) use their money to streamline their lives and reduce the number of their responsibilities, and 4) spend a significant portion of their waking hours pursuing and attracting women. Whether it is through spending hours in the gym every day, spending hours expanding their social network every day, or spending hours meeting, dating, and attracting new women in clubs/malls/bars/conventions etc. every day, they are spending those hours for those purposes, while the lower and middle classes spend most of their hours surviving. I suspect that this incel/redpill/mgtow subculture is most prevalent in the law-abiding lower and middle classes who strive to live healthy, settled lives. The minority of men who DON'T abide by the law, and who engage in relatively toxic and violent behavior, provide a level of excitement (albeit a very different kind of excitement than that provided by the wealthy) that gets the right type of woman's panties sufficiently wet. Biker gangs come to mind, and there are definitely women out there who fantasize about being the biker gang slut. Either way, it comes down to how men spend their time; a man is what he does. To provide a sweeping generalization that is without nuance: the "nice guys" who need more attaboys spend their time working, and the "bad boys" dominate through violence, disobedience, and (financial) leverage, and thus spend their time maintaining their harems.

    In any peer group, clout and status are what matter the most and make a man more attractive. I'd say that the appearance of relative wealth helps rather than money itself. Meaning not being broke and affording nice dates... However, trying to impress someone with money is always a disadvantage. "nice guys" are generally really jerks who expect to get laid for being nice to bitches and then throw tantrums and wallow in self pity when it doesn't work. And if you're talking about hookers, yeah the more money the more you can afford to hire them but who the fuck aspires to a life of having to rely on hookers for sex??? The key to getting any woman comes down to how you make her feel.... that's it. You want it to be like a drug, make her feel some kind of way on a consistent basis and let her crave it.

If you're in a dry spell, you just go out and find someone. Its really not hard. Dry spells are more about the guy's inflated ego or entitlement than they are about not being able to get laid.     I agree that right wing anger and racism are the reason for much of these kinds of shootings and violence... The shooters feel like they should be at the top of American society because they're white men, and they blame liberals and women,minorities, for "taking" that away from them. They think that their own shortcomings are really the fault of everyone else and that if they were "valued" and had the entitlements they deserve as white men, society would be different and they'd be better off ie could get laid, better jobs, whatever...

Problem is though that often people use "entitlement" in the same way that they use something like "spoiled", tied to the idea of someone who may have grown up rich, or something like that. And that is very different. You can't say something like that about someone who is basically living living a modest life. People should be ENTITLED to self-actualizing careers which use their skills and serve social purpose. Problem is though that often such is not there. And yes, it is most likely minorities, immigrants, and the poor who are getting short changed the worst. SJG

    That's actually a really good analogy.... prostitution is like a guy sucking dick coz he needs some extra cash.     Oddly enough, I think SJG hit the target with his last post. The guy couldn’t get laid, and he blamed it on everyone but himself. His anger towards everyone probably grew with each female who rejected him. Sadly, there are white males with intense growing hatred that is fueled by the blame game. Unemployed guys blame everyone for taking the jobs - and their hate grows. Guys at retirement age - who have no money saved - hate others because they never saved their own money. Guys who can’t get laid - blame women for shunning their advances. Rather than taking a hard look at themselves - and making positive changes - it’s easier to sit and hate. It’s fucked up, it’s wrong, and it makes things worse. This shit was here before Trump - and before the immigration issues became news. But it wasn’t accepted. Folks would say “Get off your ass and do something positive!” But now it’s become acceptable, and it’s become prevalent enough to be a real problem.

    Notice how when minorities blame society's institutions for anything they get shut down. But its acceptable for white men to blame others for their own shortcomings.... Its ludicrous that minorities are shot down when complaining about gentrification or police brutality...., yet white men can blame not getting laid on women and can claim that mass shootings could be prevented if white men were granted access to sex with better looking women, and they get taken more seriously....

    Icey, I should say something here. You posted much about entitlement on the Elliot Rodger thread. I think now that I was misunderstanding you. I thought you were talking about rich person's entitlement. I think now that you were talking about White Male entitlement. And yes, with that I agree, he was getting that from the Men's Rights / MGTOW / Misogynist movement. I will also say that with all of these angry at women shooters, they are trying to find their place in the world. They just reach a breaking point when they cannot find it. So it does no good to fault them. We need instead to look at what is wrong with our society. I can say that with life experience, I am far more liberal in my own thinking than I was when I was the age that these guys are.     SJG, entitlement comes in different forms, I did basically mean the set of privileges he had. I think when a person sees the world around them and how it affects us and everyone around us, becoming more liberal is the humane thing to do. I mean, when we talk about anything, we have to remember that ultimately it's about the impact things have on actual human beings. WIth these shooters, a lot of it is about abject hopelessness and a desire to leave some kind of legacy. There are bullied kids and social misfits who look up to them, wish they had the "courage" to do the same. I remember a case in Florida where a kid killed his bully and got off. Its complicated and complex. Likewise someone doesn't just wake up one day and decide to commit a mass shooting. It happens over time and there are warning signs... and I don't believe they're mentally ill. They just act on what they see in society.... If cops can kill someone on sight, or if our country can resolve foreign policy with decades of war, if all the heroes in movies can kill everyone.... why can't he? Add to it right wing gun culture and paranoia, the "men's rights" movement, the social acceptance of bigotry....couple it with the psychological violence they've been subject to... its a lot of conditioning.

    Maybe if we took anti bullying campaigns more seriously and focused more on teaching kids to cope with adversity but really tackled bullying and harassment when it starts, we wouldn't have all of these dysfunctional and hopeless young people.

    Notice also that the news focuses on this guy being a virgin. In prior times that would have been considered an insignificant detail. Overall I don't think focusing on this Incel movement is a good thing.

    These type of guys seem beyond extremely frustrated - I think the lack of dating/GFs is more a symptom of the problem that contributed to what they did but not the source of the problem - seems w/e it is about them that makes it difficult to date or have a GF is the bigger problem and what leads them to do what they do. Having said this, it's obvious men, particularly young men, need to have access to sex - it's biology IMO - even in the animal kingdom one sees what extremes males go-to to have sex. Many guys have trouble getting laid whether it'd be b/c they are shy, or just can't get it from whom they want, or as often as they want - IMO it def makes sense, and would def help, if P4P was legal since it'd be much safer and guys that needed that outlet would have it (even if they just needed it for a season in their life) - hell, sex is therapeutic and many guys, for various reasons, do not have as fulfilling a sex-life as they would like/need and are thus to some extent suffering from it and to some extent not being/feeling their best b/c of an unfulfilling sex-life.

    P4P exists, legal or not. But most of these guys do not seem to want that. These guys feel that they are being treated in an unfair way. So they may want sex, but lack of sex is not really the issue. Rather it is their distress and their perception of an unfairness. They are saying that something is wrong, and generally they are suicidal. But there perception of what the problem is, is ill founded. I say that much of it exists in the Right Wing and Misogynist attitudes which they have assimilated. But beyond this, they seem likely to have been survivors of some sort of familial abuse too.
