Is it easy to walk between the two? Or is it just one border but two ways to cross (with that long pedestrian bridge in between them)? The entrance by the Jack in the Box, which one is that?

last commentThe entrance to TJ is behind the jack in the box and typically the cross back over leads you in front. I've been across maybe 100 times without any issues. Cheers

brw it is interstate 5. the 805/5 split is one half mile north of the border.
pedestrain entry into mexico is 24/7 on the east side by jack in box / mcdonalds / trolley.
the west mexico entry is closed late at night. the west ped entry is also known as chaperall / virginia street / new crossing.
crossing back into usa is 24/7 at either side. it is one huge crossing.

You can easily walk between the two entries, about 15 mins. The entry at Jack/McDonald is also called San Ysidro, the city. It's very crowded because of the train station.
