    R. I. P. I guess it was his time I always thought of him as a good man, I guess the era of WWII vets is coming to an end.

    My Dad flew with him in Pensacola during WWII. He said that Bush was an unassuming guy who was always honest. He also said that nobody on the base, including the base commander, knew that Bush's father was a senator, let alone the Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee!

    That kind of integrity never dies.

    +1 on many of the above comments, especially the 1st 4 posts. Bush 41 holds the distinction of being the longest lived US president (94 plus years), though if Jimmy Carter manages to live 112 days past 30 Nov 2018, he'll surpass Bush 41.
