There is no difference between the parties. And politicians don't really care about solving problems. If they did they'd have to attack the corporate and private sectors that they really serve. I think when people realize that cops are there to protect the rich from the poor and property from those who don't have any and that taxes and debt are like slavery, nothing will change. Racism is capitalism's biggest cultural contribution and until capitalism is addressed nothing will ever change.
