From a recent review of Tootsies Miami: "... Took some of the bad with the good on this one and made some rookie mistakes. I was here a couple of months back with a group of guys for a bachelor party. We arrived later in the evening, got a booth upstairs and ordered a couple of bottles. We were throwing a fair amount of money around so we had quite a few girls visiting the booth. Good lookers overall with most in the 7-8 range. Mix of Latin and white girls. Took several girls back for private dances and was offered extras from every single one. I'm an extra seeker at clubs; night isn't done without busting the nut. There is some buyer beware here. A girl was propositioning me aggressively within a few minutes of my arrival ($750 for BBBJ and FS in VIP). I would have taken her up on it but wanted to ease myself into the night. She warned me that the local girls pulled bait and switches and that I should stick with the import latins: I brushed this off as competitive posturing. Later on, a young, local spinner drops herself in my lap at the booth. She was absolutely smoking. Went for a few private dances and she offered me full VIP for $1200. I wasn't in the mind to spend that much so I offered here $700. She wasn't interested and left. She came back an hour later and said she was game for $700, so I said let's go. Rookie mistake, I didn't clarify services. Pay the VIP security their payoff and the VIP fee for a half hour (don't clearly remember the price but 200ish total). Get in the room, she starts dancing, takes of her top and starts negotiating for more. I was pissed and done with her. Called her a pure bait and switch artist and walked out. Some more private dances later with different chicks, took a different latina up on her offer. Damage ran me about $600 total with VIP charge. All in all, had fun, got drunk, got mileage, but, spent way too much money. As mostly a rookie on the club scene, was still a fun night despite the expense.     I need one of San Jose Guy's calculators to figure out how much this guy spent. So did he walk out of the $700 VIP and not pay or only pay a fraction or did he pay the whole thing? Why does going to a strip club sometimes feel like I'm at a used car lot negotiating a price? Just tell me how much it's gonna cost for what I want. Do a decent job and I will come back... again... again... and again. Rip me off once and I will never see you again, and even warn other guys about you if I'm in the club and see you working.

    Holy crap. I'm glad I go during the day. The cost is significantly less and no bait&switch. So have we confirmed that the curtains are still up at Tootsies ? There was a Review last week that had said they had been taken down.

    $700 seems a little steep to me. I'd get a escort and a hotel room if I were gonna spend that much,but I don't know the going rate in your area.

    I think the Tootsies sharks spotted easy-meat - group of guys sitting in VIP popping bottles and throwing around $$$ and they probably saw a first-rate fleecing opportunity - the one chick quoting him $1200 I would have not even considered b/c that outrageous price is usually a ROB looking to just make a killing and not deliver and sure enough she ROBed his ass when she came down to $700 (which is still too-much). Tootsies having a rep gets a lot of out-of-towners and infrequent SCers that are easy-prey and thus the club is kinda a tourist-trap w/ a fairly high ROB-factor.

    That sounds like SF prices out here in CA. Girls are straight hustlers.

    One should be able to get almost any girl there for $300 to $400 if one stands firm ($500 at the most for a top-bitch) - but it's a large-club w/ lots of customers some which have deep-pockets and may not mind paying big-$$$ and many that don't know any better - w/ so many potential targets many of them quote sky-high and sometimes hold-out for that since there are often large-crowds and the club closes at 6 am so they have a lot of time to find a couple of suckers - but many will come around to $300 or $400 offer after striking out throughout the night.

    I don't think Tootsies is for me. The Cubans at Follies don't charge that much.
