Hello, all! Long time, no read. Just checking in to see if that asshole who was always crowing about Bitcoin has shut up yet.

Those dudes always get out right before the crash. In fact they never, absolutely never, lose money on any investment. Ever.

There are some still around. I don’t mind their posts. I sleep well at night based on my investment allocation. I wouldn’t sleep so well if I was heavily into crypto. So it doesn’t bother me at all.

Dougster is not posting any more. Here's an interesting story on Bitcoin's price rise.

LecherousMonk, don't invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is so last year!

Invest in wipecoin, the brilliant cryptocurrency!

Others have suggested investing in shitcoin. But that's crazyjoe's cryptocurrency so I'll let him do the sales presentation. ;)

I stand counted. I bought and held Bitcoin over $7k price and have held. Its a small part of my portfolio. Not a volitility trader just a hodl'er. I do have some faith in the growing application of crypto currencies and cryto assets. Talk to me in 10 years.

I'm not sure about Bitcoin but I did read one big bank talked crap about certain cyrpto currencies then went out and bought a lot after the price dropped. I don't remember which currency. When big money gets involved , someone may have plans to use it. The plans could involve screwing over retail investors so be on guard. I read Bitcoin will likely be talked about in history books as a bigger mania than the tulip mania.

Blockchain as a technology looks like it has a lot of potential with applications well beyond cryptocurrency, but is fairly high in the hype cycle. Bitcoin in particular, I think has as much risk as upside potential. I am not planning to buy in, but if I did, I might do what Uprightcitizen is doing and hold it as a (very) small part of my portfolio -- although I'm not sure I'd hold it, I might sell if there's another upswing, bubble, or manipulation. I'd probably not buy into any but the top 2 currencies -- the rest are getting hit with 51% attacks, which are just too easy to do.
