Nobody will watch Miss America without the swimsuit competition, the best part. That would be like trying to sell Oreos sans the cream in the middle. Feminists and the #metoo crowd are out of control.

Some designers would fight to get the chance to show case there swim wear for these events. It the older ones in the years past it was crazy all the different styles in the early 90's.

Sounds like laying the groundwork to drop the "contests must be female" requirement to be announced in 2019. A man-bulge in a swimsuit would make it a bit too real.
The swimsuit contest will be replaced by a parade of contestants wearing pajamas with their hair in curlers.

Those swimsuits weren't very flattering any way and the rarely showed good ass shots. I would prefer they switch to yoga pants.

I was hearing the show has been struggling with ratings over the last couple of years, I'm sure they are now gonna knock it out of the park.
I'm willing to bet if they actually put them in g-strings the ratings would be way higher.

The reason that there is a feminist conflict with Miss USA is that it is presented as being normative, rather than only for those who make the choice.
So just ignore Miss USA. And what is shown in that should not be normative. That is not how women should be judged, and their social and civil standing should not depend on such things.
Instead, look to things completely beyond the pale, like the Sunnyvale Brass Rail Banana Eating Contest.
