Why go to "meh" clubs when you have better options?

As i become picker and my standards and expectations continue to increase as i continue this hobby/habit, i find i tend to almost only frequent my favorite clubs. Whenever i go to the other familiar clubs, i often feel i didn't get very satisfactory value from my visits. Sometimes i feel i need a change in scenery, literally eye candy and i do make an exception to these types of clubs a few times a year, knowing that i'm not likely to spend a whole lot, and i'll be satisfied in a you get what you pay for kind of deal. Or sometimes i'll try to scope out new talent at other clubs, even if the mileage is known to be lesser over there. Then when she brings up if i go to any other clubs in the general area, i might suggest that she try out one of the "better" clubs where we might have more fun (i don't tell her that last part though).
So for you non-travelers (and heck, even the travelers), why would you go to a club that you already know is likely to be worse, even significantly worse, than another club you could visit?

In a lot of places "meh" is the best thing available (Tennessee from circa the last five years comes to mind). Personally I tend to skip clubbing entirely in those markets, but locals don't have the option or know any better (witness positive reviews on this site for what experienced PLs recognize as a mediocre experience).
As I get older though, if I can’t get a nice lapdance I won’t even go anymore, as if only eye candy is the only thing I can get, it’s not worth the effort.

However, if I’m in an unfamiliar area (while traveling), I’ll consult this site, before making a trip out.
Reviews are very useful, and they provide good insight, but one person’s meh can be another’s WOW! So that’s important to keep in mind.
So I go to crap clubs to see if there’s any improvement going on.
I used to rotate around 10 clubs, but the more/longer one SCs the less of a novelty it is and the less we settle for a meh/avg visit - right now I'm down to about 3-clubs that I rotate and 2 of those are getting more miss than in the past.
Liking variety I don't like hitting the same club every time and seeing the same dancers although the small black dives I hit usually have a fairly high turnover which helps in the variety aspect.
- My preferred club is mostly that because of one or two strippers there. Without one of them, I just as soon be anywhere else. So if they aren't available and I feel like hitting a SC I may elect to hit another one.
- My club isn't the closest. Sometimes I hit a club closer to home or on my way back from somewhere. Sometimes convenience is a bigger priority than quality.
- My club isn't the best at everything. I usually like to sit with my fave and do our thing, but occasionally I want some variety. While I consider my fave stripper to be outstanding, the overall girl quality isn't great there. So if I want to sit and watch the stage and/or grab a couple dances from a new hottie, my club isn't the place to do it.
- I like finding diamonds in the rough. A lot of shittier clubs seem to have one or two dancers who are remarkable. Its fun to find them and they often tend to be high value.
There's probably a few other reasons, but thatch what I can think of now.
2. Because a "meh" club (Cheetah's ATL, Camelot DC, even Trails SLC) with top shelf scenery is better than "nothing" IMO.
