Why go to "meh" clubs when you have better options?

Tuesday, May 22, 2018 11:38 PM
As i become picker and my standards and expectations continue to increase as i continue this hobby/habit, i find i tend to almost only frequent my favorite clubs. Whenever i go to the other familiar clubs, i often feel i didn't get very satisfactory value from my visits. Sometimes i feel i need a change in scenery, literally eye candy and i do make an exception to these types of clubs a few times a year, knowing that i'm not likely to spend a whole lot, and i'll be satisfied in a you get what you pay for kind of deal. Or sometimes i'll try to scope out new talent at other clubs, even if the mileage is known to be lesser over there. Then when she brings up if i go to any other clubs in the general area, i might suggest that she try out one of the "better" clubs where we might have more fun (i don't tell her that last part though). So for you non-travelers (and heck, even the travelers), why would you go to a club that you already know is likely to be worse, even significantly worse, than another club you could visit?

For one thing the "better" clubs have more pl competition. The best dancers are more likely to pass me by w/o a glance in my direction for one of their whales or regulars. It gets old. There are other reasons as well. The "better" clubs are farther than i care to travel unless i happen to be in the area.

I guess i've just become too familiar at my favorite clubs over the years that i don't really have a problem with PL competition. I'm not a whale, but probably one of the better spending regulars of some of the "best" (subjective) dancers there. The distance thing is definitely a factor, but literally every club is more than a hop, skip and a jump away, so what's another 15-30 minutes?

In an "extras" market (COI, Detroit, etc) a "meh" club can still provide a high level of service, and has the potential up-sides of being less expensive and offering variety (with the rare occasion of finding a "diamond in the rough" - i.e. dancer of the premium club caliber working in an otherwise "meh" place). In a lot of places "meh" is the best thing available (Tennessee from circa the last five years comes to mind). Personally I tend to skip clubbing entirely in those markets, but locals don't have the option or know any better (witness positive reviews on this site for what experienced PLs recognize as a mediocre experience).

Hmmm to me just about every club is ‘meh’ except for certain cities (Detroit, PHX, Toronto, Dallas, Vegas) and I can’t always be in those cities, so at times I take what I can get. As I get older though, if I can’t get a nice lapdance I won’t even go anymore, as if only eye candy is the only thing I can get, it’s not worth the effort.

I know the clubs nearby - that provide the services I want. I only go to those clubs. However, if I’m in an unfamiliar area (while traveling), I’ll consult this site, before making a trip out. Reviews are very useful, and they provide good insight, but one person’s meh can be another’s WOW! So that’s important to keep in mind.

Club quality tends to be cyclical in this area. At the moment, there’s a couple of clubs that were shining stars a couple of years ago, but are crap now, and vice versa. So I go to crap clubs to see if there’s any improvement going on.

I like variety and have about 50-clubs in the SoFlo tri-county area. I used to rotate around 10 clubs, but the more/longer one SCs the less of a novelty it is and the less we settle for a meh/avg visit - right now I'm down to about 3-clubs that I rotate and 2 of those are getting more miss than in the past. Liking variety I don't like hitting the same club every time and seeing the same dancers although the small black dives I hit usually have a fairly high turnover which helps in the variety aspect.

I do it mostly just for a change of scenery.

I go to clubs that aren't my current preferred one for a number of reasons. - My preferred club is mostly that because of one or two strippers there. Without one of them, I just as soon be anywhere else. So if they aren't available and I feel like hitting a SC I may elect to hit another one. - My club isn't the closest. Sometimes I hit a club closer to home or on my way back from somewhere. Sometimes convenience is a bigger priority than quality. - My club isn't the best at everything. I usually like to sit with my fave and do our thing, but occasionally I want some variety. While I consider my fave stripper to be outstanding, the overall girl quality isn't great there. So if I want to sit and watch the stage and/or grab a couple dances from a new hottie, my club isn't the place to do it. - I like finding diamonds in the rough. A lot of shittier clubs seem to have one or two dancers who are remarkable. Its fun to find them and they often tend to be high value. There's probably a few other reasons, but thatch what I can think of now.

Yeah, my general club rotation used to be about 4-5 different clubs a month. So usually a different club every week. It was once 6-9 clubs, but a couple clubs just changed so much for the worse, one was sold, and one even closed. Now it's pretty much two clubs twice a month each and two of those other clubs maybe once every few months or more. The other club completely fell out of the rotation. Besides seeing most of the same girls every time, there really is no desire for me to go to the other clubs except to see how things are after a long time. I'm usually not pleasantly surprised.

I'm gonna guess for "meh" extras prices and "meh" drink prices.

It has a lot to do with convenience (i.e experienced monger) and/or not knowing what's out there (i.e locals). For me, I would want the SC to at least be above decent and under 45 minutes to get to. You can do fine with those decent SCs as long as there's that one or two dancers that you think is a "unicorn." I think any more than 4-5 SCs in a PL's regular rotation is too high

    1. Because I don't have the time or the stamina for the 2.5 - 3 hour (each way) commute to better clubs. 2. Because a "meh" club (Cheetah's ATL, Camelot DC, even Trails SLC) with top shelf scenery is better than "nothing" IMO.

it is the possibility of finding a gem that is the challenge to me. this is because i spent all my savings and now i have had to seriously limit what i can spend. so i seek out venues that have better possibilities. and IF i find a gem... AM I SATISFIED? no. onto the next.

^A "meh" club you should at least be able to get a lap dance for a reasonable price(less than $30).
