I know they are two total different things. I know that men go for strippers instead bc some want a performance or like club environment. But for those times where men literally just go to get off, why not see an escort instead?bc of price?

A big difference between the two is the minimum cost of access. An escort is going to require you to pay $300, $400, or more up front just off her photos, emails, and phone conversation before you have a chance to see if she's legitimate or not. You can have a stripper in your lap for free (minus the cost of cover charge and minimum drinks) and can see if the stripper might be worth it or not; a stripper that lets you do something for free is going to let you do it in exchange for payment.
Strippers also cost less if you get ripped off. Strippers tend to be pay as you go so as soon as you're not satisfied, you can stop payment. Escorts need payment up front and if she sucks or you get robbed, you're out a whole lot of money.
I personally don’t use escorts as such, strippers, are a lot more fun as a group and you get the opportunity to see if there is a connection before plunging into the deep end of the pool. I don’t like getting intimate with a woman I don’t know at least superficially. But that’s just me, I’d guess that those folks that see escorts regularly have their own reasons for doing so, I only speak for myself.
For me, it boils down to what kind of time I’m looking for. *Most* of the time, I’m looking for a longer, more relaxed, less scripted experience than most escorts provide. In addition to being able to meet and talk in the club before even considering meeting up outside the club, strippers are much more likely to offer that type of experience.
Make no mistake, I have no illusions about exactly why a dancer would stoop to having sex with an old, fat, ugly guy such as myself. It’s the money. However, strippers (at least the ones in whom *I* am interested) are much more likely to be open to adding “fun” to the mix, whereas escorts, IME, are much more about getting the job done and getting gone.
When my ATF/SB/mistress/girlfriend was still around, we spent a lot of time together, and not all of it was fucking. I still gave her money, but she never watched the clock beyond “I gotta be home by x:xx.” It was as often me wrapping things up as it was her.

It started with us meeting ITC a few weeks prior. She is hot as hell and healthy looking, seemingly free of hard core drugs. She was also a blast to spend time with and we were able to chat easily. After seeing her a couple of times, I was moved to seek out OTC. She refused at first, but eventually relented. On the night of the meetup, we got together for a couple of drinks and had a fun chat. Then we went to my hotel and she had sex with me like I was her long lost boyfriend just returning from deployment.
None of the handful of times that I dialed an escort were ever remotely like that. The meetings were transactional and rushed and rarely did the girls look as good as their pictures. OTC strippers and escorts simply don't act the same in most cases, unless of course one picks up his date from one of the high volume extras clubs. Also, the sad reality is that a high percentage of escorts have substance abuse problems, which you often do not see until they show up at your door. It is also far easier for some anonymous escort to run a grab and dash than it is for a girl who lives in the community and has been dancing at the same club for a length of time.
I could go on, but there it is. Meeting the girl in person and getting to know her is a huge advantage. I didn't even get to the LE issues with dialing up random escorts or even just being listed in their contact databases. Go on a site like usasexguide and not only are they complaining about all of the other shit discussed above (drugs, ripoffs, bait and switch), but they are also constantly sweating exposure to undercover stings or escort agency prosecutions. Those of us who find girls in clubs, however, have virtually no realistic LE exposure and have a much easier time managing the other exposures. I pay a bit of a premium to pick up girls from the clubs, but it is 100% worth it to me.
The whole "you don't get to preview an escort before hand" argument is solved by doing your research, making appts with escorts with incall locations, and having the backbone to turn around and walk out if you get there and she is nothing like you were led to believe.
I've been involved with strip clubs and escorts a long time, and haven't seen any indication one group is more likely to be I to drugs than the other. If anything, the escorts I knew had their shit together better than most strippers.
Excellent point, and it works in the other direction as well, at least in clubs where one is known. I’ve been going to local clubs since I moved here 20 years ago, and even if a specific girl doesn’t know me, somebody else, e.g. the bartender, will at least know I’m not LEO or ABC.
The OP asked about seeing an escort when we just want to get off. That’s a really good question given how much angst gets expressed here about trying to fuck strippers.
With going to a strip club it is normally a same day or even spur of the moment event for me.
SA has replaced seeing escorts over the past three-four years but again unless you have someone you are seeing as on a regular basis and you live in the same area it isn't as spontaneous as going to a club.
That's not always true. In some clubs, completely false.
Classically it was for sugar baby/sugar daddy relationships but it is more like tinder with payment these days. Possible types of arrangements there run the gamut.

However, the mix of dancers in NJ clubs also provides a mix of offerings. Some dancers are escorts who parade around on stage. They give a nice look at their bodies - for the customers who want to take them for FS ITC. Only when you work them ITC and develop familiarity - will you get them to consent to OTC sex.
This is my preference. I don’t live in NV where there are legal brothels - with a line up to select from. I don’t like taking chances on escorts - and dealing with bait and switch tactics.
If street whores were better looking - and there were less issues with LE - that might be an alternative - but it’s not good in the rough NJ areas.
By taking the dancer out of the club - she gets all of the money. There’s no additional hands taking cuts of her cash. So it’s money well spent too.
Once a price is negotiated with a stripper, the price isn't going to change. Whatever she lets happen and how ever long it goes on is covered by the agreed upon price. An escort will bring up the extra charges.
A stripper is more likely to get into it. To tell you what it is she wants, what gets her off. An escort is there to get you off. A stripper is there to have sex with you.
As for how common it is for dancers to meet their customers outside the club for whatever activities. It depends on the city and the club. In most clubs I would say it's under five percent if of the dancers. The places where it is common it's over 1/3 the dancers, and often dances in the club are just for both the dancer and customer to get an idea if they want more later.
Some cities ITC is fun enough, and most dancers that work in such clubs, while they may offer everything in the club, are very picky with who they see outside the club.
Most of the dancers who have offered to see me outside the club, mentioned they would rather not give the club their cut. Many make the mistake of asking for twice the half hour rate for an hour. The ones I consider seeing just want a small amount over a half hour price for a full hour.
