OT: Supreme Court rules in favor of allowing states to legalize sports betting

Since people will bet on sports whether it is legal or not, might as well legalize it so it can be regulated, and at the same time states will be able to capitalize on revenue generated from it.
I’m wondering how this ruling will affect the sports books in Vegas. I think they will suffer due to a drop in tourism. If you want to bet on a sporting event, why travel to Vegas if you can now legally do it at home?

I am in favor of sex.
But I would prefer if gambling, drugs, and alcohol would vanish.
Specifically about legalizing sports betting, I would prefer if they would not do that.
And even more focused, I want to eliminate all of these state lotteries, starting with California's.
And then about the laws against prostitution, while it may be legalized, I think there are far more ways around it which could be put into practice right now, than people realize.

And then there is absolutely no reason at all for states to be in the gambling business, with their lotteries.

When you go to Vegas you can only bet on the current games (and a few futures) anyway. Think about it, you think some fuck in Erie PA is gonna say "damn I can sports bet at Presque Isle Downs & Casino, now I'll never have to go to Vegas again!" I don't think so.
Also, bookies are also still going to do fine since they won't be giving up 10, 12 or 20 percent to the state or the sports leagues as well.
This doesn't affect people who are already betting, this affects guys who currently don't know anyone to bet with, and may get a few new fans interested in the leagues now that they can legally wager. Look at what sites like Draftkings did for Nascar and MLB. Since when did most people south of the Mason Dixon line give a fuck about Nascar? "Oh I can bet on the races now? sign me up!"
I guess my inquiry is whether the sports books will get hit at all. Will this be a win for the states to grab a piece of that pie?
All of my friends have done the Vegas thing enough, now we can meet in other locations to mix things up a bit.
I casually have used Bovada, mainly for college basketball (which I personally feel is the best sport for big money parlays). But now, if a legal physical sportsbook
I just don’t know if I will gamble any more or any less. Playing poker with friends scratches my gambling itch, much like how strip clubs scratch that womanizing itch we have even though we can be in committed relationships.
Good call Shailynn. I’d bet on the Indians making it back to the World Series soon, maybe this year.
