Hey guys I’m new on here and in Ga. I have been dancing for about 3 years on and off now. I am curious how clubs typically work in Atlanta when it comes to hiring. I have gone to follies day shift. Follies said I was beautiful but there is a hire freeze. Is there anyway to get around that, A guy told me outside that I need to know someone to get hired there or come with a male to even get inside. How true is that? It seems like all the clubs are saying it’s really slow right now and that they have too many girls. HELP!! Lol
I dunno for sure. I keep seeing new faces. They seem to have a shortage of decent looking white girls and too damn many over weight Cubans. They certainly have no shortage of dancers.
I do know that you will need a permit from the city that the club is located in. For Follies it is Chamblee and a permit costs $100. For Atlanta city clubs it's $350. The only exception is Club Wax because they are a bikini club.
@shadowcat thank you so much for telling me. I think you are right business is just slow in atlanta right now. I typically work at diverse clubs considering the look I have and recommend to go to follies, pink pony, and oasis but they all have said the same thing about being slow or rumors of clubs being shut down. I used to work at Mardi Gras but it wasn’t my favorite
If that's you in your avatar pic I'm sure several of our Atlanta PLs could invite you for some dances outside the club so you could make some money until the hiring freeze ends.
@whodey lol yes it is me. But I hope so that would be great if the Atlanta men messaged me. Because the strip clubs right now do not seem the way way to go. I’ll be better off being a sugar baby or private dances
I’m not telling you anything you didn’t know, but all clubs like to maintain a diverse group of dancers ( not just ethnicity, but looks and styles ). That way, every customer can find someone that appeals to them.
If, as shadowcat said, there is a “ shortage “ of white dancers at the moment, they may be only hiring white dancers until things get back in balance. Which, of course, they can’t admit. So, it’s a “hiring freeze”.
The employment laws are different for self-employed entertainers, so they can get away with this.
Young, pretty girls having trouble finding work in strip clubs ? I may have just discovered my Calling. I"m going to open a "placement" service for strip clubs. I find all kinds of "positions" for these girls . :-)
Alana, do you like to do crabby style? I'm a badass suit-wearing coconut crab and I just might come visit Atlanta when your weather improves. Right now I'm still in Hawai'i, scuttling here, scuttling there, scuttling everywhere!
You kind of remind me of Vivica A. Fox. I've never been to Follies but I don't see why you'd have a hard time since you're probably a high 7 or an 8. You would be one of the better-looking girls in the strip clubs I've been to
I don't know how familiar you are with the strip-club industry but not uncommon for black-dancers to have trouble getting hired in mixed-clubs even though Follies is one of the more AA-dancer-friendly clubs I've seen.
Seems many "mixed" clubs have an unwritten black-dancer quota - many hire only a handful or less - I thought this was mostly b/c the custies at those clubs preferred white-dancers; but it seems clubs may also minimize the # of black-dancers as for the club not to become black/"too-black" - i.e. more black-dancers may mean more black custies and soon it's a black club that drives away white dancers and custies - not saying this is right or for sure happens; but ... and why AA dancers often have a hard-time getting hired.
Follies is more mixed on dayshift and more AA at night - perhaps you can go at night and talk to the nightshift manager in case he has any say in hiring and maybe you can get on the nightshift and eventually transfer to dayshift.
[I'd try to go early at night around 8 pm on a weeknight like Monday when it's less hectic]
And yeah - many clubs don't allow un-escorted women b/c they are concerned they may be working-girls taking biz away from the club.
My first evening at my permanent duty station, my roomie was in a school and had to get to sleep early, so I was shining my boots in the laundry room. Ab eight guys hung out in there w me while they all did their laundry. They even ordered pizza to the laundry room! I thought ppl just hung out in the laundry room, but it was a new girl thing.. that’s you guys when a new dancer posts here. ;P
@papi_chulo thank you :-) but yes I just don’t like the more urban clubs here. I wanted to work in follies because I liked the reviews and knew it would be a good club for me during the day

Business does appear to be downright now.
... you may want to check out the Stripperweb website. It's a discussion forum primarily for dancers.
