One person is dead and three others were wounded in a shooting at a strip club on Bragg Boulevard early this morning, Fayetteville police said.
Police were called at 1:51 a.m. to Diamondz Gentlemen’s Club on the 2800 block of the boulevard.
One of the people shot died at a hospital. Another is in critical condition, and the fourth is in fair condition, police said. Homicide detectives are investigating. Police haven’t released the identities of the people shot.
The club is on the boulevard near the intersection with Fort Bragg Road. Its Facebook page describes it as “Fayetteville’s premier spot for adult entertainment” with “exotic entertainment and celebrity appearances.”

There is definitely a strong correlation between being at a club when it closes - and the likelihood of being involved in a very bad situation. Sad when it causes folks to lose their lives.

Just from reviews and club home pages, Fayetteville has always looked to me like the most interesting of the NoCar metros. This may be because it is the most Black and may be the lowest average income. But it does look interesting.

On the local news tonight, they said a guy was kicked out of the club at 2:00 a.m. He went out to his vehicle, got his gun, came back and shot the owner of the club and the others. It was the club owner who died.

^^^^ Though of course the actions of this customer were of course illegal and immoral.
But was an escalating factor the way it was handled by thug bouncers? And were these shit heads who acted the way they did because they were carrying a concealed fire arm?
Locally, Sporty's Bar usually does hire shit heads as bouncers, and they do escalate things by their bullying.
On the other hand, the Brass Rail has the owners much more involved and always on site, and they hire bouncers who are quite nice. I have never seen any real trouble there and I have never seen them escalate anything.
Same could be said of the Hip Hugger, though it is now gone.
