I miss the good old days before cameras in every corner of a strip club. I remember how once the curtain or door shut pretty much anything went. There was one club I frequented quite a bit when I was younger that you would put the chair against the door to prevent someone from peeking in. I remember the first time I saw a video camera in a private room at a strip club and at that moment knew it was the beginning of the end. Now if I go to a club and find out there are cameras in the back I don't even try, knowing someone is most likely watching and waiting. Don't get me wrong, I now of clubs where the cameras either don't work or nobody cares, but for the most part they have ruined clubbing IMO
Why not bring a ball of silly putty and put it over the cameras. It's an easy way to tell if they actively monitor the cameras or not, and it's not that expensive if it gets confiscated.
Cameras - hmmmm mixed emotions. Don't get me wrong, they have NO PLACE in any strip club lapdance area (lol), but they are changing a lot more in our lives than just our VIP visits.
I recently read something on the internet that in Great Britain that any business that has security cameras will need to have the feed available to law enforcement by 2020. Now I know it's not here, but if it happens there how long till it happens here
Over that past decade we have seen stationary security camera's go from VHS to wireless HD, body cameras as small as a button, live stream eyeglasses, police body cameras, Go Pro everywhere, camera memories capable of storing 72 hours of action, game cameras in HD - IR - 1080p - night vision - motion sensored, and secured broadcast capabilities that stumps the CIA. Within the next decade tiny camera drones with zoom HD/IR video and sound capabilities will be everywhere. A single security camera in the corner of VIP, that nobody is really watching, is NOT a current issue!
Dallas, I know what your saying, but there is something disconcerting to me when I see a camera staring at me. Did you ever read the book 1984 (don't waste time with the film), big brother is watching you and knows what's best for you!
impala, 1984 was supposed to be a dark warning, not the prophesy it has become! I understand your concern about that stupid camera up in the corner - it used to bother me too - but within a few years a club owner (and everyone else) will be able to buy very inexpensive tiny drones that can see in near dark conditions, go just about anywhere, inside or out, record or transmit both sight and sound and hover silently or attach itself to walls or fixtures. That big blocky CCTV camera is a caveman wall painting next to what will next be used to spy on extras in VIP! 1984 on steroids with a hit of PCP!!!!!!!!!!
I completely agree. We are starting to live in a world where privacy is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Think about it, how many people would allow cameras into there homes if they were told there rent or taxes would be lower. How many would allow a camera and a GPS transmitter into there car if told there insurance would be lower. How many business owners already install cameras for lower insurance rates. Cities are being told to install cameras on the streets to help lower crime. If you use a credit card or have a discount card for a store it knows your purchasing habits. And all it takes is an over zealous government to tie all these cameras and all this data into one location for monitoring "for the public good". And before you say it wouldn't happen think long and hard, and remember how stupid people can be and how willing they are to give up some civil liberties in the sake of security (the patriot act).
impala, some of your "would allow" are already forced upon us. Most new cars sold in the US already have a GPS tied into the system that can be accessed by authorities and receivers that can be used to disable the vehicle. The sick part is the owner cannot disable these "add- ons" without rewiring the car and voiding the warranty.
On the other hand, I have been to a club that has been remodeling and taking cameras out of the new rooms. If the clubs don't let customers take video of the dancers, it's only fair.
Ppwh, were they taking them out or did they replace them with micro-cams. One of my customers has several very secure areas, was shown the video feed of the room (6 different angles) I was working, when I went back to the room I'd be damned if I could find any of them
@impala, they said they had taken them out. If they hadn't, they may as well have given the difference in dancer behavior between the rooms with and without visible cameras.
Camaras are everywhere in the Detroit clubs and it makes no difference. I doubt Alan Markowitz is jerking off to it. Maybe they just sell the content on pornhub or something...

Cameras are everywhere now - and I have pretty much assumed that I'm on camera - most of the time. It's intrusive - but it's becoming the new norm.
I try to avoid using the ATM enclosure as a glory hole - but otherwise it hasn't had much effect on my life...
Unless you are a priest or part of the moral majority - I doubt that anyone cares what you do in VIP and a strip club.
