layin low but staying high
I don't think women will get into them in big numbers but I do think that robots may start playing a role in threeaomes.

Join SJG's one man organization and you get a turn with a robot, because there is zero chance of any woman being there willingly.

John, no self respecting woman(wife or GF) would do that. The robot is creepier than a real third women.

It could be lucrative for family law. I imagine the wife's next move would be to take the robot to court with her, sit it next to her, and tell the judge, "I want half his money .... and she does, too!" ;-)

@JS69 "I don't think women will get into them."

Doesn't anybody read Isaac Asimov's SF anymore?

'The Robots of Dawn' A society where all genders use robots for sexual pleasure.

@Dominic77 - Asimov's characters also debate the legal status of robots in that society: Can you 'marry' a robot'; 'murder' a robot or just cause an unauthorized deactivation?

Book was published in 1983.....where are the PL SF fans?

joker44, Isaac Asimov did caution (I believe) that his stories shouldn't be used a 'prescription' for future laws (e.g., Three Laws of Robotics).

I absolutely read Asimov, Ray Bradbury, and Philip K. Dick. It's not ever forum where a PL admits that he's into Dick, lol!

I think they should be interpreted using the lens of society at their time not so much our current time or some future time (when we will have such robots).

Though considering half of everyone probably sits around masturbating to porn, sex robots probably aren't as far off. I just refuse to take the easy way out. I'd rather put up with the real thing, emotional insecurities and all.

@77 - ‘Isaac Asimov did caution (I believe) that his stories shouldn't be used a 'prescription' for future laws (e.g., Three Laws of Robotics). ‘

Wasn’t recommending them as a ‘prescription’ just wondering why, given the themes of his robot novels, people do not bring up some of his material when debating robot issues today.

‘I absolutely read Asimov, Ray Bradbury, and Philip K. Dick. It's not ever forum where a PL admits that he's into Dick, lol! ‘ Yeah!

    “This is a mournful discovery.
1)Those who agree with you are insane
2)Those who do not agree with you are in power.”
    Philip K. Dick, VALIS

“Reality denied comes back to haunt.”
Philip K. Dick, Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said
    More--
“Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.”

For me, in addition to your list I’d add Robert Heinlein and Norman Spinrad [Agent of Chaos].
